  • What is the way to refine the mind? | மனதை திருத்தும் வழி எது?

Gurumahan in the 9th Velvi, reminds us that Divine spark is within everyone, can transform the mind of even the cruelest person, cites the transformation of Valmiki!

Within you lies a true essence. There is a deeper awareness (MeiUnarvu). There is the power of the Atma. You share a direct connection with the universe. Establishing that connection is Yoga. Yoga means reuniting yourself with the Source. It means returning to your natural state of pure awareness.
In that state, who are you? Are you a man? A woman? No. You are neither male nor female. You are beyond all identities and beyond decay. It is a state of pure movement, a state of boundless love. If all of us reach that state of love, how would we live?
I would not be the only one speaking here. Who are you? You are Divine. When we live in that awareness (MeiUnarvu), how do we treat one another? With joy. With harmony.
This state of love gives us the maturity to remain balanced in every situation, in pleasure and in pain. It brings true awareness. Our scriptures remind us that even the cruelest person carries this divine spark within. Consider Valmiki. He once robbed and killed without hesitation. Yet a higher awareness transformed him completely. If that awakening could change a murderer, it exists within everyone.
No one is born a criminal or a thief. Circumstances shape us. Situations influence us. The mind shifts. That is why we need a method to refine and elevate the mind. Arutthandhai Vedathiri Maharishi gave this path a beautiful name — Manavalakkalai, the art of cultivating the mind. It is truly a profound name.
If every person born on this sacred soil awakens to this Divine awareness (MeiUnarvu) and lives as a yogi filled with love, what kind of world would we create? What would Tamil Nadu become? Pause and reflect.
If we unite in this Divine awareness and sincerely wish for our nation to flourish, if we truly envision India standing at the forefront of the world, it will happen. It will surely happen.
Let us first realize the Divine within us, the love within us steady, unchanging, eternal. When that love fills our hearts, what will we sow into this world? Only love.

  • What truly gives us value — the form we see, or the life force that drives this body? | நமக்கு மதிப்பு எதற்குக் கிடைக்கிறது? உருவத்திற்கா, அல்லது உடலை இயக்கும் உயிருக்கா?

The 9th Velvi, 1999: Gurumahan Explains Advaita through Chidambara Rahasiyam! (secret).

As long as Shivam is present in this body, there is respect. When Shivam leaves, what is it called? Savam. A corpse. Then what did we worship? Why did we show respect? For what purpose?
For the energy that exists inside. We cannot see that energy. An invisible, subtle energy exists within. It pervades everything inside. Who is that?
That is God. While you yourself sit as that God, what are we still doing? We kept searching and searching. In devotion, we searched for God, built temples, and showed God in forms. We ourselves were once an invisible, subtle energy. When we were inside our mother’s womb, we existed, but no one knew it. After ten months, we came out.
Temple worship was established to explain this philosophy. As soon as we enter, we see the Nataraja statues. We see forms.
Then, when we go inside, we see the Lingam.
When we reach the sanctum, we see something that cannot be called form or formless — a formless form.
If you go to Chidambaram, they show the Chidambara Rahasyam. What is that secret?
They show space. They say, “This is the secret,” and people look all around. You pay money, they tell you to look up. When you look up and think you will see something, what do you see?
Nothing. That nothing is the secret.
From that nothingness, all of us have come.
From that invisible, subtle energy, we have come.

  • We are willing to wait for hours to see God outside, but why do we lack the patience to realize the Divine within? | வெளியில் இறைவனைப் பார்க்க மணிநேரங்கள் காத்திருப்போம், நம்முள் இறையை உணர ஏன் பொறுமை இல்லை?

Gurumahan's 9th Velvi discourse (1999), is about the Lemuria civilization that looked inward and taught the world 'Know ThySelf' to know God!

What is divine awareness (IraiUnarvu) ? How do we attain it? Is it difficult? Yes, it is difficult. In ancient times, it was very hard. A student had to live with a Guru for 12 years. Only if the Guru was pleased would He teach. Otherwise, the student had to serve for another 12 years. In this way, 24 or even 36 years passed. If the Guru finally decided there was no improvement in the disciple, the student then lost many years of life.
So a man says, “I surrender to the true Guru. I want to follow household life. Please bless me and give me prosperity.” The Guru looks at him and says, “What do you lack now? You lack patience and calmness. Can you see God so easily?”
We stand in long queues for hours to get darshan of Lord Tirupati Venkatachalapathi. Our legs hurt, yet we wait happily. The darshan lasts only two minutes. But when it comes to realising God, people refuse to wait. Why? They have no prayer and no inner longing.
A human can attain whatever he truly thinks about. If he desires birth, he will receive birth. If he decides he wants no more birth, he can attain immortal life even in this birth. There is a path for that.
It was Tamil people from the Lemoria continent, who first revealed this eternal truth to the world. It discovered that the Supreme Being, who fills the entire universe, also lives within the human heart. To know the cosmic energy that fills the universe, one only needs to know oneself. That is why the sages said, “Know thyself.”
    Who are you?
    You are God.
What does God mean? God is that which exists beyond the body and within the body. In Tamil, “Kadavul” means God, transcending the body, mind, intellect. God is the one who exists inside the body. This means we are not the body. The truth exists within the body. God is not the body; God exists beyond the body and within it.

  • When We Say “God Comes in Human Form,” What Does It Truly Mean? | "இறைவன் மனித ரூபத்தில் வருகிறார்", என்று சொல்வதன் உண்மையான பொருள் என்ன?

Gurumahan's 9th Velvi discourse (1999) is about the inner evolution of humans from animalistic instinct to divine awareness, love and unity!

We do not understand myths correctly. God comes in human form. Whom are we searching for? We search for God, but we fail to see that we ourselves are God. God is searching for God. This is the truth. God exists within us.
But we place ego in front. We say, “Do you know who I am? Do you know how much money I have? Do you know my education and my property?” This sense of “I” creates arrogance. When ego rises, we move away from divine truth, love, and the highest state. Then animal nature takes over. When our comfort or pleasure faces an obstacle, anger and aggression arise. This is animal instinct.
Within us exist three natures: animal, human, and divine. Yoga means strengthening the divine nature. We do not develop it outside. We cultivate it within ourselves.
The mind functions in four levels: outer mind, inner mind, subconscious mind, and transcendental mind. Scriptures explain that the soul experiences four states: waking, dream, deep sleep, and the pure awareness beyond sleep. All living beings experience the first three states. The fourth state requires higher awareness, called true awareness or divine awareness.
When a person attains this awareness and unites with it, love alone arises. This is why we say love is Shiva and love is God. In this state, a person sees no difference anywhere. He sees himself in all beings and sees all beings within himself. Division and discrimination disappear.
In this state of unity, thoughts turn into reality and words gain power. That is why one must attain true awareness. When the mind unites with the divine awareness within, it becomes peaceful and joyful. Then there are no enemies in the world. Today, our real enemies live within us. Desire, lust, anger, greed, attachment, pride, jealousy, and ego block us from uniting with divine awareness.

  • If We Came from the One Source, What Must We Become to Return to It? |ஒரே மூலத்திலிருந்து வந்த நாம், மீண்டும் அதில் இணைவதற்கு என்ன மாற்றம் தேவை?

Gurumahan’s 9th Velvi Discourse details about the Big Bang Theory - the Supreme One manifesting as the cosmos and the birth of the Universe!

The Universe manifested from the Supreme Source. In the beginning, the Supreme Reality existed as One. This pure, boundless energy known as Suddha Shivam became aware of itself. With the birth of the sense of I, it chose to express.
Just as the world would remain in darkness without the Sun and the Moon, the Universe too existed in complete darkness at the beginning. That is why the Shiva Purana describes the Divine as the Lord who dances in the heart of deep darkness.
Within that darkness, the Supreme energy formed an intention to manifest. That intention created movement. The silent cosmic stillness became dynamic. This first movement took the form of Om, the primordial sound.
As energies met and interacted, a vast radiance emerged. That radiant light is the Sun we see today. From the Sun, energies spread outward like sparks, condensing into atoms. These atoms came together to form stars, planets, the Earth, and the Moon. The one Source became Om, Om became light, and light became the visible Universe.
As atomic heat gradually reduced, water emerged. Water solidified into land. Atomic collisions gave rise to air, friction produced fire, and thus the five elements earth, water, fire, air, and space came into existence.
From these five elements, life first appeared in water. This is why the Vishnu Puranas describe the Dashavatara as stages of cosmic evolution. Life began as aquatic beings, then evolved into forms that lived in both water and land, followed by plants, reptiles, birds, animals, and finally humans.
Today, we exist as human beings. Though we live on Earth, our origin lies beyond the Sun, beyond form, in that one Source. When asked who we are, we cannot yet call ourselves God. For divinity means love, ahimsa (non-violence), patience, calmness, forgiveness, tolerance, letting go, forgetting, and acceptance. These divine qualities must fully exist within us.

  • How Icelandic Scientists Captured Gurumahan’s Aura and What does It scientifically Reveals | ஐஸ்லாந்து விஞ்ஞானிகள் பதிவு செய்த குருமகானின் ஆரா, அதன் அறிவியல் ரீதியான அர்த்தம் என்ன?

During the 9th Velvi, 1999 Velvi speech, Gurumahan reveals interesting incident that happened when the Iceland scientists came to Thirumurthi Hills, India to assess the Aura of Gurumahan and shared astounding findings!

The Green aura has a scientific proof. A scientific team came from Iceland towards 1999 Velvi completion. They brought a special camera named Kirilian photography and demonstrated it. Now they call it “aura” or “energy field.” When you stand in front of the camera, it records the energy waves coming from your body as an aura. Every object continuously emits such an energy field.
That is why, in olden times, people did not sit immediately where elders had sat. They believed the elder’s energy remained there. This is also why people say we should not sit on a father’s or elder’s seat. Each person has a specific place.
When they took images in front of the camera, colors appeared on the computer screen. Before meditation and during meditation, these colors changed. During meditation, we say that positive energy should flow through the crown of the head and spread throughout the world. We say this without fully realizing it. But the computer clearly showed it. A strong green aura appeared, which became a symbol of the formless state.
They then tested several scientists. Their bodies showed blue and dark red colors according to different energy centers. When they tested many people, their body auras were visible. Finally, they asked the Guru to stand in front of the camera. As soon as he stood there, the entire monitor turned green. The physical body was not visible at all. The scientists were shocked. They checked the camera and the computer. Everything worked correctly. In the end, they could see only a golden-yellow silhouette surrounded by green aura.
They then placed a scientist next to the Guru. The scientist’s body and aura were visible, but the Guru was not visible. They tried with another person. The same thing happened. The Guru could not be seen. This made the meaning clear. The Guru is not the physical body. We should not search for Him through the physical form. He exists beyond the physical body. Even a machine could show this truth, but humans still struggle to understand it fully.
The green energy filled the entire hall. The next day, the same energy remained there. The reason is this: when we stay in a higher state, our positive thought waves spread throughout the space. This is not exclusive to one person. It is common to everyone.

  • What Is the Forgotten Energy Science Behind Pyramids and Temples? | பிரமிடுகள் மற்றும் கோயில்களின் மறைந்த இரகசிய அறிவியல் என்ன?

According to Gurumahan’s 1999 discourse, the Egyptian pyramid and the Indian temple rajagopuram are parallel sacred geometries of the same inner science!

About 4,500 years ago, people built the pyramids in Egypt using knowledge and arts taken from here, following a specific design. The word “pyramid” means light established at the center. Just as God resides in the sanctum of our temples, the pyramid structure attracts subtle cosmic energy through its form and stabilizes it at the center. For humanity and all living beings to live well, divine grace is essential. Our ancestors believed that people could receive this grace through idols, so they created these holy structures. A house is called a dwelling, but an idol is called a special dwelling. Energy enters through the tower (Rajagopuram), settles in the idol, and when people worship it, they receive divine grace. Based on this principle, Egyptians built pyramids in a cone-like shape. They worshipped the Sun as God and called him “Ra.” In our tradition, we call the Sun Aditya or Bhaskara. Just as we worshipped the Sun, Egyptians also worshipped the Sun. They drew solar energy through the pyramid’s center and placed a tomb at the core. Even today, we see the tomb of Bogar in Palani and the tomb of Gorakkar in Tirupati. In Tamil Nadu, many important temples contain the tombs of Siddhars. Temples took form around these Siddhar tombs. Similarly, in the Nile civilization, people built pyramids to receive divine grace. Later, due to Islamic invasions and formless worship practices, the true significance of these structures was not revealed. People sold the objects placed in the tombs. Later visitors came only to take the treasures, not to receive divine grace. Muhamad Ghazni invaded the Somnath temple seventeen times only to loot its wealth. In the same way, people dug into pyramids only for hidden treasures and ignored the inner energy. They forgot the power within. Now, those ancient truths are slowly re-emerging. On a recent Chitra Pournami day, newspapers reported that light energies from the pyramids benefit humanity and world peace, and that deep meditation there brings major transformation. Experiments show that placing pyramid-shaped objects near the head reduces headaches, and placing them near the navel reduces stomach pain. These are now being sold commercially. Today, even temples have become commercial spaces. But originally, all these structures were created to attract cosmic energy so humanity could live well. That is why pyramid-like mounds and tombs still exist. The invisible energy continues to fill these spaces.

  • What Is the True Meaning of Aryan and Dravidian? | ஆரியம்–திராவிடம்: உண்மையான பொருள் என்ன?

In 1999, Gurumahan revealed a timeless remembrance unveiling the true essence of the Dravidans and the Aryans.

The universe is filled with waves of love, through the power that bestows grace, and through countless invisible energies beyond the reach of the eyes. Even when you only listen to these words, science has proven that these unseen energies are present and active.
When Eastern philosophy and Western science come together, humanity receives an immense power. With the single aim that humanity should prosper, remain healthy, and live in peace, many from Bharat traveled to Western countries for centuries. Through Western science, they brought countless benefits and energies back to humanity.
In the last century, Swami Vivekananda went to the West at a time when the word “Hindu” or “Indic” was misunderstood as primitive, and when religion meant only Christianity while other paths were seen as ordinary. With great pride and clarity, He carried the truth that Sanatana Dharma must be explained and established through science. With that noble vision, He went to the West to present our land’s philosophy in a scientific way. In the same spirit, many yogis traveled from here to the West with one purpose alone, that the people of the West should also follow Sanatana Dharma.
In this way, the movement of many realized souls can be said to have reached its fulfillment around the year 2000. The journey to Iceland has now become a journey that fulfills the long-held aspirations of yogis. It was during this Iceland journey that it was understood that the people living there are the ancestors of the European continent. They are called Vanir. The ancestors of the world are our Tamil people, the followers of the Indus Valley civilization.
The term “Dravidian” originally referred to people who lived from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Today, the word has been divided into North and South, and further reduced to mean only Tamils in the South, and even distorted to imply those who deny God. This meaning has completely changed.
In India, the word “Dravida” means “Drishti,” which means the Sun. All people who worship the Sun were called Dravidians. They were also called Aryans. Arya means the Sun. All Sun-worshippers were Aryans.
But in later times, historians altered this understanding and created a false division by saying Aryans and Dravidians were different. Through this division, they created conflict and robbed our society of its unity. On this Holy land, which stood as a guide to the world and nurtured all 64 arts to excellence, all forms of art were once revealed to the entire world.

  • Does Our Suffering Come from the Imprints of Our Own Wrong Actions? | நாம் செய்த தவறுகள் மனத்தில் பதிந்து துன்பமாக மாறுகிறதா?

In 1999, during the 9th Velvi, Gurumahan reveals the secret of the Heavenly Gate and how it opens!

If you have divine grace, the gate to the heavenly abode opens for you on its own. This heavenly gate is not something newly created. It already exists; it has only been kept closed. On a certain day, it opens. This is the hidden truth. This is what is called the Brahmarandhra, the true heavenly gate. This gate exists within everyone. We entered this world through this very gate at birth. As we grow older, the gate gradually closes. If you want the heavenly gate to open again, you must rise to the crown, the highest center. If you are already there, it is fine. But now, you are in Rameswaram (Muladhara Chakra). For many people, even reaching Rameswaram feels like a great achievement, while going to Kashi does not happen so easily. The day you decide to go to Kashi, I will inform the higher authority. The list has already been submitted. Do you understand? I will take care of it.
Otherwise, there is someone there called Chitragupta who sits in Pidari (Subsconscious mind). He maintains all the accounts (mind patterns). He will call you and ask, “Come here. How many mistakes did you commit? What did you do to the neighbor’s son that day?” You may reply, “I did not do much. I only picked up a stone.” But if one person throws a stone, the other will also throw one. That poor fellow will have to be born again, endure the consequences, and then move forward. This is how patience is taught.
Whatever you do is recorded. It returns to you, even if you do not realize it now. At the final stage of life, when you lie bedridden, these thoughts arise. You begin to think, “I do not know what sins I committed. I hurt this person. I hurt that person. That is why God is making me suffer like this.” People may not say this openly, but these thoughts run deeply within them. That is why this is called death karma.
When some people lose their loved ones, they cry, “What will I do now? My son is gone. My grandson is gone. Everyone related to me is gone.” Then they ask, “Why does God not take me too?” They beg, “Take me along.” But the reason God does not take them is this: they still have to experience the results of their actions here itself.
That is why the first rule is very simple. Do not commit sin. We can think about merit later. First, do not do wrong.
