Gurumahan’s Message from the 2015 Chennai Floods during the 26th Velvi discourse: When Blessings Become a Force for Humanity.
Let us not blame or condemn anyone in Chennai or Cuddalore. Let us not seek revenge. Our duty is to wish for the well-being of everyone and to realize the one Truth present in all living beings. That One is Brahman, that One is Truth, and everything is That.
There is only one Sun, yet its energy exists in countless forms of life. That same solar energy is present in every atom and powers all of creation. My beloved ones, in this 26th Velvi, let us preserve the five forms of purity and live for the well-being of all. Let us be willing to make sacrifices for the sake of others.
During the floods, the younger generation served tirelessly, day and night, in the heat and rain, without caring for their own safety. By protecting and serving others, they have shown true humanity and fulfilled their human duty. For those who have realized the Truth, there is an even greater privilege: to think of people across the world and bless them every day. Let us bless everyone, every day.

In the 26th Velvi Discourse, Gurumahan Says: “What If Knowing One Thing Could Help You Know Everything?”
In all the different forms of life, there is One that exists within everyone. The one who realizes that One realizes everything. The Upanishads guide us to discover that One, knowing which is like knowing everything.
You are a divine being. You are wise, and you have the ability to recognize what is good. Through you, your family, society, nation, and the world can experience peace.
Let us unite and bring people together. My dear friends of noble thought, true and positive thoughts arise from deep contemplation. Let us bring such people together and create a better world. Let us make good people powerful and powerful people good, and use both qualities for the benefit of humanity.
This 26th Velvi is not meant for any particular caste, religion, race, language, or nation.
If we come together with good intentions, our positive thoughts can create harmony with the forces of nature and the universe. Let us preserve the five forms of purity and work towards the well being of all.
We have a responsibility to protect ourselves, our fellow human beings, and all living beings. Let us understand our responsibilities and fulfill our duties. The highest expression of human life is to perform our duty. The wise have recognized duty as divine.
My dear seekers of truth, let us move beyond a life driven only by sensory pleasures and discover the greater bliss within. Let us move beyond the narrow idea of living only for ourselves, our families, or our communities.
Let us develop a broader vision, a life where everyone lives for everyone.
Let us unite. Let us live for one another.

In the 26th Velvi Discourse (2015), Gurumahan Reveals What Lies Beyond the Breath, Mind and Senses.
We begin by bringing both hands together and sitting in a completely relaxed posture. Keep your back and neck straight, and gently close your eyes.
For about thirty seconds, simply observe your breath. Breathe naturally through your nose. Let the breath flow in gently through the nostrils and flow out naturally. Do not try to inhale or exhale deliberately. Just observe the breath as it moves on its own.
Gently close your eyes and bring your attention to the centre of your eyebrows. Observe the movement of the breath there. Nothing else is needed. Do not pull the breath in, and do not push it out. The breath is happening by itself. Simply observe it. Let it happen naturally and comfortably.
That breath is the movement of your life force. Your life force itself is moving, and that movement appears as the breath. When the mind moves, the breath moves. When the mind becomes still, the breath also becomes still. The moment the mind becomes quiet, the breath naturally settles.
The mind is the root cause of all our problems. If you can calm and master the mind, you can find a solution to every problem. Therefore, if an individual wants peace, prosperity, physical health, mental well-being, clarity of intellect and spiritual evolution, there is one path. It goes beyond mantras. It is the path of becoming one with the universe.
O mind, observe only the breath.
As you observe the breath, the breath becomes still. As the breath settles into the life force, the mind merges with that life force. That life force is the very essence that has evolved into everything in this Universe. That same life essence exists as the subtlest element in space, as air when it moves, as heat when it becomes active, as water when it condenses, and ultimately as solid matter. This essence exists as everything. Knowing this Meiporul, the Ultimate Reality, is true knowledge.
O mind, you have learned about everything through the senses. But you have not yet discovered the one who is within you, beyond the senses.
If you know yourself, there is nothing in this world that you cannot accomplish.
There is a way to know yourself.
Turn your attention inward through the centre between the eyebrows. Go beyond the body. Go beyond the senses. Go beyond the mind. Go beyond the prana, the vital force, and reach the state of the life force itself. This life force is pure consciousness.
At the centre between the eyebrows, you are no longer merely the body. You are not limited by physical existence. You are pure awareness.
Whatever you think of in that state, you begin to become. Therefore, fill yourself with elevated thoughts. If you constantly think of yourself as inferior or remain trapped in negative thoughts, you will become identified with that state.
You are divine. You are a pure soul.
When you become established in this awareness at the centre between the eyebrows and then turn your attention towards the centre of the brain, between the two hemispheres, you return to a state you naturally possessed as a child.
As a child, you were beyond deceit, manipulation and falsehood. You were naturally pure, sattvic and divine.
Observe the breath. Keep observing it. As you observe, the breath settles. As the breath settles, you enter the state of silence.
It is in that silence and stillness that an extraordinary power exists.
The state beyond the body, beyond the mind and beyond the intellect is your true nature.
In that state lies the extraordinary power to influence and transform your experience of the universe. Whatever you hold in your consciousness, you begin to become.
You transcend the limitations of the five elements, rise beyond the physical body, and bring the waves of the mind into stillness. You transform your outer knowledge into inner wisdom.
You can accomplish anything.
Believe in yourself.
You are a part of the Supreme Consciousness of the Universe. You are a divine expression.
This divine essence exists within this body. Within the limited boundary of the body resides an unlimited power that is your true nature.
Until you believe in yourself, you cannot accomplish what you are capable of accomplishing in this world.
You have come here to accomplish something. Therefore, recognise your true essence.
Within you is the creative aspect of Brahma, which creates; the sustaining aspect of Vishnu, which preserves; and the transformative aspect of Shiva, which brings about change.
All three aspects are united within you.
You are divine.
That divine essence is infinite love. It is infinite knowledge. It is infinite bliss. It is infinite beauty. It is the incomparable, boundless state of existence.
That is your true nature.
You possess infinite potential. But because you identify yourself with the body, you have become trapped within its limitations.
Spiritual liberation means freeing yourself from this bondage to the senses and the limitations of the world, and realising that you are truly free.
When you attain this inner freedom, you begin to see everyone as one.

In the 26th Velvi discourse (2015), Gurumahan clarifies on how to meditate on the eyebrow center.
The center of the eyebrows is the place where we think. That is why, when we are asked to think about something, we close our eyes. But we do not know exactly where we are thinking.
The place of thinking is the sixth sense, the intellect. Focus your mind on this place.
Now, when told to "look at the eyebrow center, look at the eyebrow center," what does everyone do? Everyone tries to look at that eyebrow center with their physical eyes.
Looking at the eyebrow center is not about looking with your physical eyes.
Then what should you look with? Look with your mind; focus your awareness there. That is why this eye is called the eye of intellect, the eye of wisdom, the third eye.
If something bites us here (on a visible part of our body), we immediately look at it.
But if something bites us on our back, how do we look at it? Can we turn around and see it? No, we cannot. Then what do we use to look?
We look with our mind. We perceive with our mind that something is there. In the same way, look at this eyebrow center with your mind.
We need solutions to all problems, to every individual's problems. There must be a solution for everything. A solution for debt problems, is there one or not? There certainly is. Because whatever we need, this Universe is ready to give us. We just have to ask. That is why it is said, "Knock and it shall be opened, ask and it shall be given." But shouldn't we know where to ask? Where should we ask? That is why, ask within your mind.

26th Velvi Discourse: “Where Are You Going After This Life? Gurumahan Reveals That the Highest Destination Is Within You”
When we leave this body, where are we going to go? Towards liberation. Among all the attainments one can receive, the highest attainment is liberation. A devotee of Shiva thinks, “Where should I go after death?” What does he pray for? “O Lord, let me leave this body while I am worshipping You.” What does a warrior wish for? “I should die on the battlefield.”
What does a good government officer wish for? “I should leave this world while I am still working in my office.”
What do leaders wish for? “I should depart while I am still in office.” Isn’t it?
In the same way, what does a devotee of Shiva wish for? “O Lord, let me leave this world while I am worshipping You.” My mother used to say this often: “How should I go? I should go while I am worshipping God.”
Likewise, what does a yogi aspire for? To attain the Divine state. To reach the highest state.
That is why this highest state is described as the supreme position, the state of Brahman.
It is not somewhere outside. Where is everything? Everything is within you.

In 26th Velvi discourse, Gurumahan speaks about Vaikunda Ekadashi and the 11th Gateway
Meaning of Ekadashi: "Ekadashi" is made of two words: Ekam meaning "one" and Dasham meaning "ten," representing the eleventh. It refers to the eleventh gateway.
The Gateways of the Human Body:
Traditionally, the human body has nine gateways: two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, one mouth, and two lower orifices (for reproduction and excretion).
The tenth gateway is the navel (Nabhi).
The eleventh gateway is a hidden, small gateway that is actually the greatest gateway for a human. It is located at the crown of the head, where the two sides of the brain meet. This is spiritually referred to as "Thillai Chitrambalam" (the consciousness space).
The Flow of Energy:
The divine energy (Brahma Shakti or Atma Shakti) present in this crown space descends downwards. This descent of energy is called Avarohanam.
In Yoga, this energy descends from the top to the base for the purpose of evolutionary growth.
The ultimate goal and the highest state of human life is to raise this descended energy back upward to the crown gateway. This is the transcendent and supreme state of human existence.

Gurumahan, in the 26th Velvi, explains the significance of the Lord of the Seven Hills and how the seven hills symbolically represent the seven centres within our body.
The body’s 72,000 nadis and nerves culminate at Eyebrow centre. That is why, whenever we face a problem, what do we do? We close our eyes and think. We withdraw from external connections and turn inward. And where is the center associated with this inner contemplation? It is the Eyebrow center.
That is why, at certain times, when we think deeply without even realizing it, where does our hand naturally go? Forehead eye. That is why our ancestors placed a dot at this spot. What is that dot? It is called *Bindu*.
Why Bindu? The energy called *Vindu* is below. When that energy rises upward, it is called *Bindu*. And what does Bindu mean? It means the center of light.
That center of light shines at the Eyebrow center. That is why, when the energy descends from the summit called Shiva, it becomes radiant at the brow center. The energy present there is wisdom. As it descends further, it becomes the atom at the throat, air in the chest, heat at the navel, water in the lower abdomen, and finally a solid substance at the root. This is also how the Universe is structured.
As that energy descends from the heavens, becoming progressively denser, it ultimately becomes solid. Then, rising again from the solid state, it becomes liquid, heat, air, atom, knowledge, and finally reaches the state of the soul. That is why there are seven stages.
So, there are seven stages externally and seven stages internally. That is why these seven stages are represented as the seven hills.
The seven hills exist externally, and the seven hills also exist within us. That is why he is called *Ezhumalaiyan*—the Lord of the Seven Hills.

In the 26th velvi discourse, 2015, Gurumahan speaks about the power that can transform this Universe.
Do we have the power to reshape the Universe? Yes, we absolutely do, because what exists within us is no different from what exists in the Universe. We must first believe this. Just as the macrocosm (Universe) is, so is the microcosm (body).
Just as we control satellites orbiting miles away from here on Earth, the five elements of nature also reside within our own bodies. The incredible power to control them lies in the center of a human's eyebrows. This eyebrow center is the exact point that can execute and manifest all the thoughts generated by our brain.

In the 26th Velvi Discourse, Gurumahan Says: “Understand, Prepare and Transform Before Nature Teaches Us”.
Here Gurumahan speaks about the disastrous flood during the year 2015 leading to Infrastructure Collapse, Transport Paralysis, and casualties!
Rainfall is a seasonal change in nature, a natural event. The rain fills the lakes and ponds, flows through the channels meant for it, and eventually reaches the sea. That is its natural course.
We often hear about heavy or intense rainfall in the news. They say, “There will be heavy rain today.” Let it rain. Isn’t that good? Heavy rain is good for Tamil Nadu. We say that rainfall of this magnitude has occurred once in a hundred years. No one expected it. It was an unexpected disaster. When people were affected by it, what did we do? We came together without looking at caste, religion, race, colour, language, state, or even country.
What did we do? We saved people. Who saved them? We did. What did we save? Did we save those who had already died? No. You simply did your duty. The moment you expect recognition for it, you have already lost the very meaning of duty. When we saved people and their belongings, what did we really preserve? We preserved humanity. Humaneness still exists in us. Compassion still exists in human beings. Concern for one another still exists. The rain came to reveal all of this. The cry for help was also from God. And who was the one who heard that cry and came forward to help? God himself. God helped God. That is not merely help; it is the fulfilment of one’s duty. Until then, we may not have done anything for people we did not know. But today, we do not even know who they are. That is why we must help without asking who they are. So many people who went forward to help have themselves gone missing. This is why, whenever something painful happens, we see that after a storm comes calm. After this flood too, better circumstances have emerged. We must learn to prepare before disaster strikes. Today, we are beginning to think about how things should be fifty years from now. But that was not how we lived earlier. We simply thought that living for today was enough. If we think and act wisely, it will benefit not only Tamil Nadu but the whole world. We often think that disasters happen only here. No. In China, for example, millions of people have been affected by heavy snowfall. But what are they doing there? They are systematically preparing and managing the situation.
The same kind of flooding that occurred here has also occurred along the River Thames. Britain too has suffered losses worth several crores. But there, there was no major loss of life; there was mainly damage to property.
When such situations arise, they have systems in place to move people to safer locations. But we were unable to do that immediately. The water came at night, and no one could anticipate it. It was an unexpected event.
That is why I say: Understand and become clear before disaster strikes. Do not wait to be destroyed in order to change. If we believe that we must be destroyed before we learn our lesson, nature will destroy us to make us change. But we will not perish; we will learn and transform.

In 25th velvi discourse, From One Tiny Cell to Cosmic Power: Gurumahan Reveals Who You Truly Are!
Action determines your karma. No matter how many rituals or prayers you perform, you will receive the fruits of your actions. If you do good, good will come to you; if you do otherwise, you will receive the consequences of that as well. Then what is the purpose of these remedies? They are meant for the well-being of your mind. At least from now on, learn to forgive. The one who forgives will rise. To create a new world and, in the next stage, a new society, we must begin by creating good children right from the womb.
Look at our Puranas. How can a child born to good parents sometimes display demonic tendencies? Because during pregnancy, the thoughts and emotions of the mother influence the child being formed within her. A good seed may be sown, but the fruit it produces depends on the soil in which it is planted.
Whatever nourishment we give the soil determines the harvest. In the same way, Sanatana Dharma has always taught us how a father and mother should prepare themselves even before conception, and how they should live during pregnancy. But we do not listen. We live without awareness and later wonder, “What wrong did I do to have a child like this?” That is why creating a better generation begins with conscious and responsible parenthood.
Today, people like Dr. Venkataraman are conducting valuable research in this field. Every effort required to create a better society in the future will take place here. That is why we are going to build the Universal Peace Movement, a movement for world peace. All of you must take responsibility and participate in this dharma of protecting and transforming the world. For this, we need a truly global outlook. Everyone has good thoughts and good intentions, but the problem is that we do not bring them into action.
A real transformation will bring about a positive change in the minds and character of human beings. Through the grace and compassion of the Divine during this 25th Dhava Velvi, may all of you attain physical health, mental prosperity, clarity of intellect and economic well-being. Many people today say that their businesses are struggling or that their finances are not doing well. Instead of looking outward, look within. When you turn inward and understand the real cause, you will realise that you do not need to worry about others. You need to examine yourself.
You are not here to oppose anyone or prevent anyone else's progress. Your very nature is to progress. When the millions of sperm cells released from the father move towards the mother's egg, only one succeeds. That is the very nature of life, to move towards its goal. You should focus on your own progress. If someone else moves ahead, there is no need to pull them down or obstruct them. Your innate nature is to move forward, just as that tiny cell strives relentlessly towards its destination. That cell is you.
The moment that cell enters the womb, a tremendous power begins to work within it. Scientists describe the origin of the universe as a singularity from which the great expansion of the universe emerged. That singularity, which has become the totality of existence, is also present within the womb. That immense power within you created your body. You formed your eyes, your ears, your nose and every other part of yourself. You created everything within you, and you are the one sustaining and protecting it from within.
Whenever something enters the body that does not belong there, you resist it and create the necessary changes within yourself. Therefore, understand this: You are not an ordinary human being. You are that great power. The purpose of this Tapas Peetam is to awaken within you the Mahashakti, the great power that creates, sustains and transforms.
Bharat will awaken humanity to this truth. It will elevate every human being to a state of inner illumination and, through that inner light, illuminate the entire world. Bharat in the 21st century will bring about a tremendous transformation. Bharat will lead the world through love.
My Bharatiya Prime Minister is today the Prime Minister and leader of Bharat, and he is now emerging as a leader of Asia. May he receive the blessings to become a world leader in the future. On the coming Tamil festival, may all Tamil people attain health, prosperity and a higher place of progress in Tamil Nadu. May our farming community flourish. My complete blessings to Prime Minister Modi. He has formulated plans to develop national waterways and integrate the nation's rivers.
My Bharatiya Prime Minister, this pace is not enough. This must be given priority with the urgency of a wartime mission. The national waterways are essential not only for India's economic growth but for the overall progress of the nation. May this vision become a reality, may groundwater levels rise, and may the economic well-being of the people of Bharat rise as well.
May everyone be blessed. Santhosham. Santhosham. Santhosham.
