Opening Statements in the Sarah Boone Trial were presented by both the Prosecution and Defense. The State was able to get through 10 witnesses on Day 1 which is an impressive feat. Among the civilian witnesses were Jorge Torres's Bother, Sarah Boone's Ex-Husband and the apartment neighbors.

The state was able push in a lot of evidence through witnesses like the 911 operator, the assistant store manger, deputy sheriffs at the scene and the CSI forensic biologist. The defense said that Sarah Boone is expected to testify next week. If the first day is any indication of the speed of the evidence, the trial might be done before the three weeks the judge has allotted.
