Something can be multiple different things at the same time. Many states are not absolute. Extremism leans toward absolutes and we have all seen the negative impact of extremism.

Having the right meditation means holding healthy thoughts in your mind. We can absorb the thoughts and energy from the things we encounter in the environment. This would mean it's not to our benefit to repeat negative thoughts. They will only manifest illness.
