  • Hive Music Festival Week 154 Round 1 "ME HAS CONQUISTADO" original song by @sayury

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=sayury/akdzudnq

Tú me has llamado a ser tuya

Me has conquistado con tu amor

    No puedo más decirte "No"
Toma mi vida, todo lo que soy
Toma mi arcilla, todo te lo doy
    //Tómame la mano, aquí estoy//
    Tómame la mano, tuya soy

Hello, community, I greet each of the members of @musiczone and especially those who participate directly or indirectly in Hive Music Festival, those who have contributed and continue to contribute their grain of sand so that this festival is perpetuated over time. May your days be full of health, joy and peace.

In this week 154, in the first round of this cycle of three, I bring for your consideration an original song, lyrics and music of my own inspiration. It is about the song "You have conquered me." I composed it several years ago, several decades, to be more exact, when I was a girl. At that time I was studying Theology at the Lumen Christi Institute in Córdoba, province of Argentina. That was...39 years ago.

At that time, here in Venezuela only men could study Theology. Women don't. I am referring to the Theology of my church, which is the Catholic Church. In the case of the brothers of the evangelical church, they did have that possibility. One of my sisters graduated in Theology at the Central Biblical Institute, located in Barquisimeto, after three years of studies through the boarding school system and at that time I was only about eight or nine years old.

When I studied it I was 26, but, in our Catholic church, the geographical options for ladies to study theology at that time were Argentina, Brazil or Italy. Well, with the sponsorship of the congregation Pias Discipulas del Divino Maestro, I went to Argentina to study it - I make the reservation that currently the possibility of studying "Theology for Laity" here in Venezuela is open to both gentlemen and ladies.

The degree lasted five years, but, for health reasons - rather lack of it -, because I was not able to physically adapt to the seasonal changes in the climate there, I was forced to return when I had only been studying for three years.
It was at that time that I wrote this s

    LYRICS

You are changing my life little by little

    Waking up my sleeping soul
    In you I found happiness
The joy of being and waiting
You, Way, Life and my Truth.

You are conquering me with your love

I wouldn't want to tell you "No" anymore
Look at my life. How little I am
Look at my clay I give everything to you
Take my hand, here I am.

You have called me to be yours

Today I live in your love without understanding it
I only know that you are always in me
That wherever I go, you go by my side
You, Way, Life and my Truth.

You are conquering me with your love

I wouldn't want to tell you "No" anymore
Look at my life. How little I am
Look at my clay I give everything to you
Take my hand, here I am.

You have conquered me with your love

I can't tell you "No" anymore
Take my life, everything that I am
Take my clay, I give everything to you

  • Hive Open Mic Week 284 "Un gato en la oscuridad" (A cat in the Darkness) Cover by @sayury

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=sayury/tdtmvwgi

A big greeting to all the musicians who make up the great Hive Open Mic family, I wish you health, joy and peace and that God grants you success in all your goals.

In this week 283 the theme proposed to us is "Darkness", I remembered the song "Penumbras" by Sandro, but it does not mention darkness, only "the night". Then my dear friend @orlandobello suggested that I perform "A cat in the dark" by Roberto Carlos.

Singing a song by Roberto Carlos, the incomparable Brazilian singer-songwriter, is something too special for me. Those beautiful melodies, those lyrics full of romanticism and his peculiar timbre of voice are also associated with many pleasant memories of my childhood and my admiration for an artist who in his eighties is still active and touring from country to country!

Anecdotal note? The song never mentions the darkness...it only names the night. But here we go... hoping you like it.

In this sixth week of the festival I want to share with you a waltz from the Falcón state, which sings to the landscape of that micro desert that we have in Coro: the dunes.

Greetings to the entire community of creatives that make up VDC.

This song reminds me of a friend of my mother who, when she was drunk, sang it saying "more beautiful you look...more brandy" thus adapting the lyrics to her lived reality.

I hope you like this song that many of the new generations don't know.

    TRIGAL

    Sandro

Trigal, donde mis manos se dilatan

    Se comprimen y arrebatan

    El color de tu trigal

    Trigal, ay! Trigal

Dame el trigal de tus amores

    Para calmar viejos dolores

Con el pan de tu trigal

    Trigal, ay! Trigal

Trigo maduro hay en tu pelo

Robó quizá la luz al Sol

Yo soy el dueño de tu fruto

Soy el molino de tu amor

Ay! Trigal, Dame tu surco y dame vida

Borra mi tiempo y esta herida

A beauty of a song that the controversial and unforgettable Argentine idol "Sandro de América" brought us several decades ago.

    LYRICS

Wheat field, where my hands expand

    They compress and snatch

The color of your wheat field

    Wheat field, oh! Wheatfield

Give me the wheat of your loves

    To calm old pains

With the bread of your wheat

    Wheat field, oh! Wheatfield

There is ripe wheat in your hair

Maybe he stole the light from the Sun

I am the owner of your fruit

I am the mill of your love

Oh! Wheat field, give me your furrow and give me life

Erase my time and this wound

If your wheat field is already mine

What if your wheat field is already mine?

    Portada

A big greeting to this entire wonderful community of music lovers. I wish that each one has spiritual, material and physical evil and the blessing of our Creator rests in their homes.

This week 280 of Hive Open Mic proposes the theme "Drawing". I was reviewing different songs in my mental file whose words were related to drawing or painting and I remembered a very nice one titled "So that you don't forget me."

Its lyrics were originally a poem by the Chilean writer and poet Oscar Castro (March 25, 1910 - November 1, 1947) that was set to music by the group Los Cuatro de Chile, a band well known for its dissemination of Óscar Castro's poetry through the musical arrangements of Pascual Rojas and the musicalization of Ariel Arancibia. All with his own style that received the name "cultural folklore"

This song was very fashionable in Venezuela at a certain stage of my childhood, establishing itself as one of those songs that never lose validity, always present in the "repertoire" of radio programs with "music to remember."

I hope my version of it is to your liking.
