    Un gran saludo a toda la comunidad de mùsicos que hacen vida virtual en Vibes. La temàtica de esta semana se presta para compartir tesoros musicales recientes, màs o menos lejanos y también antiguos. Por mi parte, apenas leì que participarìamos cantando temas musicales de pelìculas pensè en las canciones de "Sound of Music", al continuar leyendo y ver que debido a que ya una vez la temàtica fueron canciones de Disney, esta vez no lo serìan, estuve dudando entre varios temas, ya iba ganando "Melodìa desencadenada" de la hermosa pelìcula "Ghost" (La sombra de un amor) aunque con una fuerte competencia de parte del tema de "Love Story" cuando recordè el film "Las fresas de la amargura" y esa impactante canciòn super pegajosa "The circle game" que originalmente fue una balada

    super lenta que interpretò Joni Mitchel y luego, para ser tema de la pelìcula en cuestión le agregaron más "sabor" y con un ritmo más rápido y ciertos cambios quedó espectacular.


    La pelìcula "Las fresas de la amargura" o "Fresas y sangre" cuenta la historia de un grupo de estudiantes izquierdistas que, en la dècada de los sesenta, se efrenta al orden establecido primero y finalmente a la ley. Es una versión libre del libro del mismo nombre que narra - a su modo - las revueltas estudiantiles que ocurrieron en 1968 en la Universidad de Columbia, USA.

    Esta película no se puede decir que fuera exitosa, aunque recibió el Premio del Jurado en el Festival de Cannes de 1970 y, al menos acá en Venezuela, fue muy taquillera.
    Deseando éxito a todos los participantes acá les dejó mi propuesta deseando que sea de su agrado.


    Deseando el mayor de los éxitos a todos los participantes de esta semana me despido afectuosamente hasta la próxima oportunidad… la vida está llena de oportunidades, que esté siempre en nuestras posibilidades el aprovecharlas.

    A big hello to the entire community of musicians who make a virtual life at Vibes. This week's theme lends itself to sharing recent, more or less distant, and even older musical treasures. For my part, as soon as I read that we would participate singing movie theme songs I thought about the songs from "Sound of Music", as I continued reading and saw that since the theme was Disney songs once before, this time it wouldn't be, I was hesitating between several songs, "Unchained Melody" from the beautiful movie "Ghost" was already winning although with strong competition from the "Love Story" theme when I remembered the film "Strawberries of Bitterness" and that shocking super catchy song "The Circle Game" which was originally a super slow ballad performed by Joni Mitchell and then, to be the theme of the movie in question they added more "flavor" and a faster rhythm fast and certain changes were spectacular.


    The film "Strawberries of Bitterness" or "Strawberries and Blood" tells the story of a group of leftist students who, in the 1960s, confront first the established order and finally the law. It is a loose retelling of the book of the same name, which narrates—in its own way—the student uprisings that occurred in 1968 at Columbia University, USA.

    This film cannot be said to have been a success, although it received the Jury Prize at the 1970 Cannes Film Festival and, at least here in Venezuela, was a box office success.
    Wishing all the participants success, I leave you my proposal here, hoping it will be to your liking.

    Un gran saludo a toda la comunidad de Espavlog. Este es el primero de una serie de videos mediante los cuales estaré impartiendo un taller de inglés básico para adultos y para muy adultos.

    Los adultos de 50+ tenemos una forma distinta de acercarnos a los idiomas: Nos interesa más que todo lo conversacional... pero no por ello dejamos de sentir desde curiosidad hasta genuino interés por tópicos como la gramática, por ejemplo.

    Por ello estaremos trabajando desde lo conversacional pero sin dejar de dar tips gramaticales que no serán aburridos, sino, por el contrario, nos despertarán mayor interés por el idioma.

    Hola, comunidad, en esta semana 275 del primer concurso musical en que participé en la blockchain Hive.blog - Hive Open Mic - la temática sugerida es "Let's go for a coffee!" (Vamos por un café) , por ello les traigo la canción "Moliendo café" del músico venezolano Jugo Blanco. El ritmo es "orquídea" creado también por él e integra como introducción e Intermezzo el "círculo andaluz".

    La lírica nos habla del "zambo Manuel". En los primeros años de la colonia, cuando en Venezuela apenas estaba dando sus primeros pasos el proceso de mestizaje, eran llamados "zambos" los hijos de aborígenes y africanos. Y eran esclavos.

    En este caso, el zambo Manuel, a la tristeza de la esclavitud se le suma una pena de amor que hace más pesado el trabajo de pasar toda la noche "incansable" moliendo café, en aquella Venezuela en que los dos principales renglones agrícolas productores de riqueza con la mano de obra gratuita de los esclavos eran el cacao - del cual se procesaría luego el chocolate - y el café.

    La canción comienza con poéticas imágenes. Espero que sea de su agrado.

Una canción nostálgica, con algunas expresiones locales como "la muchacha que pila y pila" que hace alusión a una muchacha que se encuentra "pilando" o machacando granos de maíz para que suelten la cáscara para después sancocharlos, molerlos y con esa masa hacer las "arepas", hace unas décadas, infaltable en el desayuno del venezolano y que ahora,a raíz de la crisis, se ha convertido también en su cena.

    Hola, comunidad de amantes,. intèrptretes y creadores de la mùsica. Llegamos a la semana 141 de Jive Music Festival en su tercera ronda y continuo con el ciclo que me he autoimpuesto de canciones del dueto aurstraliano Air Supply.
    Este dueto esta celebrando sus 50 años de vida artística, y es muy grato conocer de sus giras - ahora canosos y con una que otra arruga - y escuchar como, a pesar de la edad, sus voces permanecen sin mella alguna. Tienen una agenda super apretada de 130 actuaciones por año, en el 2005 rompieron un rècord al actuar en Cuba ante un pùblic compuesto por 175.000 personas.
    Su 50 aniversario lo celebraron con un concierto especial en el Carnegie Hall el 13 de mayo de 2025.

    Hola, comunidad, en esta semana 36 del Concurso Musical Vibes de la Web 3 traigo para compartir con ustedes una canción original cuyo título es "Peregrino". La compuse hace alrededor de cuatro décadas pero su mensaje sigue vigente:

    El hacernos notar que nuestro lapso de tiempo determinado para pasar en esta Tierra es fugaz, pasajero, solo un tránsito a la verdadera vida, la eterna.

    Saber que esa vida eterna está a nuestra dusposición simplemente creyendo en el sacrificio que por nosotros hizo nuestro Señor Jesucristo en la cruz del Calvario, aceptando ese sacrificio en nuestra vida personal y a partir de allí ser (pensar, actuar) en consecuencia.

    Vivimos días duros de temores, incertidumbres. Las noticias internacionales nos abruman, la situación en nuestros propios países no son las ideales, pero podemos caminar confiados si estamos conscientes de que acá solo somos peregrinos, de paso hacia nuestro verdadero hogar, ese que está más allá de las estrellas.

    Espero que está canción sea de bendición para sus vidas.

    Hello, community, in this week 36 of the Web 3 Vibes Musical Contest I bring to share with you an original song whose title is "Peregrino". I composed it around four decades ago but its message is still valid:

    To make us notice that our determined period of time to spend on this Earth is fleeting, temporary, just a transit to true life, eternal life.

    Knowing that eternal life is at our disposal simply by believing in the sacrifice that our Lord Jesus Christ made for us on the cross of Calvary, accepting that sacrifice in our personal life and from there being (thinking, acting) accordingly.
