Greetings to all the music lovers, vocalists, instrumentalists, and composers who make up this wonderful community. I believe we are privileged to have this resource that allows us to come closer musically despite geographical distances and allows us to communicate despite linguistic differences. I have much to thank God for and all the people of good will who, with their daily work, ensure that this musical space continues.

Today I would like to share with you an original song with an unconventional title: "Cuando el horizonte" (When the Horizon). I worked on the lyrics and music of my own creation one afternoon several decades ago. I studied with the Pious Disciples of the Divine Master Sisters at their formation house in El Hatillo, Miranda State, Venezuela. One day, out of the blue, news arrived that Mother General had decided to transfer one of the sisters to a remote location... a country she had never been to. She had only a few days left before her departure, I don't remember exactly, but it was something like three or five days, because she was needed there.

The sister who was going to be transferred was very well-liked by the students, so this news shocked and saddened us. At the same time, the sister's attitude toward the news made a deep impression on me: she didn't object, certain that God was calling her to another place because He needed her there, and that was the only thing that mattered to her: to be useful wherever He wanted.
So, we hurriedly organized a small farewell gathering, and I locked myself in a classroom two hours before the meeting with a guitar, trying to compose a song alluding to the occasion. This was the song I composed for the occasion...quite briefly...there wasn't enough time for more.
I played it again a few weeks ago at the farewell of one of the members of my parish choir, a pastoral coordinator, a prayer leader, a very active person in the church, extremely helpful and supportive, who left for Spain with the intention of settling there permanently, since her two children preceded her a few months ago and are already well there.
I hope you like this song.
      These are the lyrics.

      LYRICS

When the horizon is a form of surrender
When you say yes without asking
When your words are "Here is your servant"
You will be safe in His hands.

No matter where you go, we will be with you

With the same life, with the same friend.
No matter the place or the pain of goodbye
There is always joy where the Lord is

      • if everything is for the Lord -

      • I'm letting you know that I don't currently have a video editor. My cell phone broke. I put the chip in one a neighbor lent me, but it's an older model, and all the editors I've tried to download from the Play Store tell me they're "not compatible with the phone." The charger on the Canaimita laptop I was using broke. I have one of my friend Evelio's. It runs Windows 7, and the editors require Windows 10 or higher. There are some older versions, but you have to install them using an emulator. I try to download them, but when I get to the "Run as administrator" section, they disappear. So, I'm "editing" the photos in the ancient Paint app, and I don't have anything to edit the video with.

        pues yo valgo dondequiera,
        en regiones extranjeras
        también me aprecian a mí.

Dicen que hubo o no hubo nada,

me voy pa'l yopo de madrugá',
de madrugada me voy pa'l yopo
porque el guayabo me vuelve loco.
Usted, usted, usted la mandó a poner,
que si la pone la paga y si no la pone también.

La pata 'e cabra se queja

        y también el caracol,
        "pa' nosotros no hay dolor"

        • eso lo dice la almeja -.
        • También la papa la reina cuenta
          su historia pasada,
que el diamante, que el rubí,
yo no me cambio por ti,
          pues yo valgo dondequiera,
          en regiones extranjeras
          también me aprecian a mí.

Dicen que hubo o no hubo nada,

me voy pa'l yopo de madrugá',
de madrugada me voy pa'l yopo
porque el guayabo me vuelve loco.
Usted, usted, usted la mandó a poner,
que si la pone la paga y si no la pone también.

La pata 'e cabra se queja

          y también el caracol,
          pa' nosotros no hay dolor,
          eso lo dice la almeja.
También la papa la reina cuenta
          su historia pasada:
          "¡qué vida más desgraciada
          echarnos Dios en el mundo
          en estos mares profundos
          donde no valemos nada!"
Dicen que hubo o no hubo nada,
me voy pa'l yopo de madrugá',
de madrugada me voy pa'l yopo
porque el guayabo me vuelve loco.
Usted, usted, usted la mandó a poner,
que si la pone la paga y si no la pone también.

          "Mis tres hermanos queridos

          se los llevó la corriente"

          • dice un niño tristemente -
          • ¡qué caso tan dolorido!
            "Marchamos todos unidos
            a bañarnos sin temor,
vino el río con su furor,
            se los llevó muy ligero,
            cuando desaparecieron,
            ¡cuánto sería mi dolor!
Dicen que hubo o no hubo nada,
me voy pa'l yopo de madrugá',
de madrugada me voy pa'l yopo
porque el guayabo me vuelve loco.
Usted, usted, usted la mandó a poner,
que si la pone la paga y si no la pone también.

Greetings, dear Hive Music Festival community. I wish that each of us remains in very good health so that we can enjoy music to the fullest, without the more or less adverse circumstances that may exist in our environment interfering with our musical perception. May we be strong internally, full of faith and hope and may reality - however opposite it may be - never restrict us from the beautiful freedom to dream.

Today I want to share with you a song that many have probably not heard before. It has happy music and unconventional lyrics since in it there are certain marine animals that speak, some to gloat about their situation and others to complain about their circumstances, , as is the case of the clam, a bivalve mollusk.

It is a topic that brings back fond memories of a workshop in which I participated with a group of dear friends, several of whom are no longer on this level. In it we took a "geographical tour" of various regions of Venezuela, of which we investigated their customs, their art, their gastronomy, and we learned and sang some of their typical songs. This was one of the songs we learned there. Very popular on Margarita Island, of course, the protagonist could not be other than the sea. And, although at the beginning it is the experiences of the little animals that are narrated, the experience of the mourning produced by the loved one lost in the waters, in this case a river, could not be missing. An always present possibility for those who live on beaches or on riverbanks.

Originally it is a Margarita bagpipe to which I make certain changes in the rhythm making my own version of it, hoping you like my interpretation.
I share with you the video on YouTube of a fantastic version - my favorite - of this song, performed by the Chilean brothers Isabel and Àngel Parra, who give us a wonderful, melodic and expressive version, also giving them their own original tone.
As a nice note I will say that the expression "guava" refers to "resentment"

            LYRICS

The shell says in the sea:
            I maintain a wealth,
            a garment of beauty
            with a natural shine.
I am worth more than coral,
than the diamond, than the ruby,
            I don't change for you,
            Well, I'm worth anywhere,
            in foreign regions
            They appreciate me too.

They say there was or there was nothing,

I'm leaving for the early morning,
at dawn I go to yopo
            because guava drives me crazy.
You, you, you ordered it to be placed,
If he puts it he pays and if he doesn't he pays it too.

            The goat's leg complains

            and also the snail,
"for us there is no pain"

            • that's what the clam says -.
            • The queen also counts on the potato
              your past history,
than the diamond, than the ruby,
              I don't change for you,
              Well, I'm worth anywhere,
              in foreign regions

              "the current took them away"

              • says a child sadly -
              • what a sore case!
                "We all march together
                to bathe without fear,
the river came with its fury,
                He took them very lightly,
                when they disappeared,
how much my pain would be!

                Sublime, arrobador:
                Miraba yo a Jerusalén

                Callaron las hosannas
                Y el infantil clamor;
                ¡Hosanna en las alturas!
                ¡Hosanna al Señor tu Rey!

                Y un nuevo cuadro contemplé,

                Prodigio fue sin par;

                ENGLISH VERSION

Hello, community, this week, in this musical space dedicated to spreading songs of adoration and praise to our Creator Father, the common denominator is the expression "Hosanna". Researching on the web about the meaning of this expression I found the definition that the RAE (Royal Academy of the Spanish Language) dictionary makes of it: Exclamation of joy used in the psalms and in the Christian and Jewish liturgy. , furthermore, on Wikipedia there is another meaning of the same word, in that case as a request for help: In the Bible it is used only in the sense of "help, help" or "give(s) us salvation" (Psalms 118:25). .

I bring you a song that is nothing new, in which this word is used in reference to its use in the biblical book Revelation or Revelation. That definitive part of the Apocalypse, in which everything is joy because it is the beginning of an eternity of joy and peace.

Commonly, thinking about the Apocalypse is bringing to mind - and emotions - stories of disaster and anguish, when those pains are like those of childbirth in women, happiness will come after them.
This song appears in some places as "The Holy City" and in others as "Last night I had a dream" - as its first line says. The lyrics were created by Frederick E. Weatherly, while the music was composed by Stephen Adams. This ballad is from the year 1892. Both Stephen Adams - whose real name was Michael Maybrick - and Frederick Weatherly were talented musicians recognized in England and part of Europe for their compositions.
This hymn is one of the best known that speaks of the new Jerusalem and is based on a “dream” that is set in the return of the city to the earth in its new splendor.
I believe that this hymn can be a great blessing for our lives, and even though it is an emblematic song of the Church of the Seventh-day Adventists, the beauty of both its lyrics and its music has meant that it has crossed religious borders and is sung and listened to by Christian churches of customs other than the Adventist one.

I hope you like it. His simple words refer us to the book of Revelation or Revelation, in chapter 21 and verses 2 to 5.

[ 2And I, John, saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God from heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them; and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will be no more death,f nor will there be any more crying, nor clamor, nor pain;g because the first things have passed away.

5And he who sat on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me: Write; because these words are faithful and true. ](https://biblia.com/bible/rvr60/apocalipsis/21/2-5?culture=es)

With this song we anticipate the joy we will feel when we can be in the presence of God and see the city of Jerusalem, with all that it implies in terms of symbology, since Jerusalem for the Jews is sacred, considered the place where the first stone for the construction of the world was laid, the place where - according to the Hebrew translation - Abraham prepared to sacrifice his son Isaac. For Christianity, the importance of Jerusalem lies in the fact that the crucifixion took place there. death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, savior of humanity. Jerusalem is the city where God chose to put His name (1 Kings 11:36
Let us enjoy this song and include it in our list of songs to praise and worship our King, echoing his "Hosanna in the highest, hosanna to the Lord your King"

                LYRICS

                The Holy City

Last night I had a dream

                Sublime, enchanting:
                I looked at Jerusalem
And to heaven in its splendor.
I heard children sing a choir like no other,
While an angelic antema was heard,
Meanwhile an angelic antema was heard.
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, burst forth in triumphant voice
                Hosanna in the highest!
Hosanna to the Lord your King!

And then the dream changed and a stillness reigned:

                The hosannas fell silent
                And the childish cry;
Behind a mysterious cloak the sun watched there,
The shadow of a cross on Calvary appeared,
The shadow of a cross on Calvary appeared.
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, burst forth in triumphant voice
                Hosanna in the highest!
Hosanna to the Lord your King!

And a new picture I saw,

                Prodigy was without peer;
And I saw the holy city next to the divine sea,
God illuminated it with His light, its golden doors I saw,
And whoever wanted to enter it found a place there,
Stars, moon and king star lost their brilliance
As new Jerusalem descends in its splendor,
As Jerusalem descends, the new one in its splendor.
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, burst forth in triumphant voice
                Hosanna in the highest!
Hosanna to the Lord your King!
                Hosanna in the Heights!
Hosanna to the Lord your King!

JUNTO A TU ROSTRO QUERIENDO SONREIR
LLEVO TUS MANOS, TU VOZ, TU SONRISA, TU ADIÓS

cierro los kos y te vuelvo a escuchar
es tu mirada, es tu sonrisa,
es el pasado que empieza a regresar.

Hello community, I hope that music, with its wonderful magic, manifests in your lives with joy.

In this week 29 of the Vibes Web 3 musical contest, created by @lordbutterfly, the request is that we perform songs from the 90s. I remembered that in that decade I composed a song that expressed my sentimental experience of that moment and I wanted to share it with you. It was also the song that I registered to join SACVEN, the Society of Authors and Composers of Venezuela. My first recorded song, then.
Lyrics and music of my own, I accompany myself playing the acoustic guitar. I hope you like the lyrics, the melody, the instrumental accompaniment and my interpretation, everything goes with love for you.

                LYRICS
If your memory comes to me with the breeze
I close my eyes and listen to you again
It's your look, it's your smile,
It is the past that wants to return.

I open my eyes and the blue of tomorrow

is transparent in the waves of the sea
                and hope, and nostalgia,
In the blue they become immensity.

I CARRY YOUR LONGING ON MY SOUL

NEXT TO YOUR FACE WANTING TO SMILE
I CARRY YOUR HANDS, YOUR VOICE, YOUR SMILE, YOUR GOODBYE
AND THIS LOVE THAT REFUSES TO DIE.

                ENGLISH VERSION

Hello, community of music lovers. My very dear Hive Open Mic community to which I am linked with many pleasant memories both on an individual level and treasured memories on a group level from the time when we were active - very active - with the band Venezuelan Power.
Here I am again, in this 250th week, happy to be able to participate. The theme ("Long Night" or "Larga Noche"), very suggestive, brings to mind a song that has an extremely long night, or rather, the desire to stop a night to the point that it extends." until the end of the world"
This song, popularized in the 1960s by the Venezuelan musical group "Los 007" - referring to agent 007, James Bond, a character played in spy films by the excellent actor Sean Connery - who have remained in popularity for a audience of all generations, especially for its emblematic song "The Last Kiss" and which also garnered successes with "Detén la noche" (Stop the night), "Let the wind blow" and "I saw her standing there."
"Detén la noche" (Stop the might) was released in 1967, I was 8 years old at that time. I was fascinated by music and I remember asking my dad to buy me a songbook with "Stop the Night" so I could "sing it along with the radio." "The radio" was not small but "medium", pastel pink with the power, volume and station change buttons in white. For me it was that wonderful device that filled my days with music. Until my mother came to change it to listen to endless radio soap operas!

On Sundays the radio soap opera and music came together and then it was Radio Rumbos with its "The Story of a Song" or Radio Continente with "The Life of Songs". There, the "plot" of each song was dramatized and at the end, to close with a flourish... our favorite song sounded complete.
Those who know this song will surely connect through it to pleasant memories of a golden era and whoever hears it for the first time...I think they will like it.
For my part, I present my own version and I hope that you also like it

For both of us until the end of the world
                stop the night
For both of us to the other world

                for happiness

                Stop time in your hands
                Hold me and love me
                stop the night
                stop the night

                Me quieren mirar

                ENGLISH VERSION

Hello, Musiczone community, in this first round of week 118 of Hive Music Festival I want to share with you my version of the musical theme “The Day You Love Me”. Many times I like to make my own version of the songs I play, with some variations in rhythm, tempo, and melody. Make the song my own and then bring them not a copy of the original but my own version.
“The day you love me” was originally a tango composed by Gardel and Lepera, it became popular as tango in the voice of Carlos Gardel, decades later Roberto Carlos made a beautiful version of it - not as tango - that the vast majority of us know and Cheo Feliciano with Eddie Palmieri's orchestra he gave us a wonderful dance version of the same song. I bring you mine...I hope you like it.

As a child I heard the tango "El día que me Quiero" many times since my uncle Nicolás sang tango and had a very good collection of acetate records (long plays) by Carlos Gardel.
When we were visiting Mamagrande's house (My grandmother... we called her that... long before Gabo - not @gaborockstar, but Gabo Gabriel García Marquez - popularized that nickname in his book "Los funerales de la Mamagrande"), when Arriving on Sunday, the day when my uncle Nicolás rested from work, I listened to all the records in his collection one by one. There was one that impressed me a lot since you could hear the voice of a lady saying "Carlitos Gardel passes by as asleep among his ashes" and immediately you could hear his tango "Mi Buenos Aires dear." I really liked listening to the milonga "Que seguir el corzo" and "Cambalache, Siglo XX", a "protest" tango that was banned at the time.
My father's favorite anecdote that he told with pride was that when Gardel arrived in Caracas he had been one of those who was waiting to see him pass through Caño Amarillo - in Catia - a story that I don't know why he always linked to the other that in At the Plaza Bolívar in Caracas, at the time, there was a soldier who pecked the heads of any gentleman who dared to pass by wearing a straw hat.
The adults also told, laughing, that the dictator Juan Vicente Gómez, already in years, had had Gardel brought to the presidential house to offer him a private function and that he had sung to him "Poor cockerel bataraz your skin is falling off." "which the public - but not the dictator - interpreted as a protest against the regime.
The first time I heard "The day you love me" in the soft version by Roberto Carlos, it shocked me and I was confused... but little by little I began to like it. Above all, the instrumental arrangement that accompanied the song really caught my attention. Furthermore, that unmistakable and unique voice of Roberto Carlos was one of my favorites.
This was one of the first songs I played on the guitar and although many years have passed since then, I still play it because I still like it.

                LYRICS

                Caress my dream
                The soft murmur
                of your sigh
                How life laughs
                If your black eyes
They want to look at me
And if the protection is mine
                Of your light laugh
                which is like singing
                It calms my wound
                Everything, everything is forgotten

                The day you love me

                The rose that adorns
It will dress up to party
                With its best color
And the bells in the wind
They will say that you are already mine
                And the fountains so crazy
They will tell each other their love

                The night you love me

From the blue of the sky
                The jealous stars
                They will watch us pass
                And a mysterious lightning bolt
It will make a nest in your hair
                Curious fireflies that will see
                that you are my comfort

Hello, community of music lovers, from Venezuela, in a historical-experiential context full of strange facts and uncertainties, music becomes those wings that allow us to fly from within. The magic of music ,That special magic! I turn to it today and approach it as if it were a “time machine” to return to my childhood… when I was around 8 or 9 years old and lived with my parents and siblings in a small house with block walls and iron roofs of zinc, on top of a hill located near the highway via Caracas – La Guaira.

We lived in a neighborhood called Blandín, which disappeared in December 1999, when that horrible landslide remembered as “the Vargas disaster” occurred

For this round 3 in week 117 I bring you a song by someone who at that time was constantly playing on the radio not only in Venezuela but in many other countries: the Brazilian singer-songwriter Roberto Carlos who today, at 83 years old, remains active in the musical field and he goes on tour as if a teenager were trying to win back a new audience and continue to make the old one fall in love with his beautiful songs and his endless voice. The song by Roberto Carlos that I selected to participate this week is “Un Gato en la Oscuridad” (A Cat in the Darkness) this song was the title of his 14th album and was released in 1972 on the CBS label.

I first heard this song as a child and it became one of my favorites. It was extremely attractive to me to imagine a “sad and blue” cat and a playful child who jumped over the neighborhood fences.

It's a song that I liked and I still like a lot, even though as an adult it changed its connotation for me. That beautiful image of “the cat that is in our sky” continues to leave me “in place” and enchanting, coupled, furthermore, with a very pleasant melody and that extraordinary voice of its author and performer par excellence.

I know you will like the song and I hope you will also like my interpretation.

                LETRA

                Cuando era un chiquillo que alegría;
                Las rosas decían que eras mía;
                El gato que está en nuestro cielo;
No va a volver a casa si no estás,
No sabes mi amor que noche bella
presiento que tú estás en esa estrella.
                El gato que está triste y azul;
Nunca se olvida que fuiste mía,
                Más él que sabrá de mi sufrir;
                Querida, querida vida mía;
                Reflejo de luna que reía,
                Si amar es errado culpa mía te amé;
En el fondo, ¿qué es la vida? No lo sé.
                El gato que está en nuestro cielo;
No va a volver a casa si no estás,
No sabes mi amor que noche bella
presiento que tú estás en esa estrella.
                El gato que está triste y azul;

                LYRICS

                When I was a little boy, what joy;
                Playing war night and day,
Jumping over a fence to see you
and so in your eyes discover something new.
                The roses said you were mine;
And a cat kept me company,
Since you left me I don't know why
The window is bigger without your love.
                The cat that is in our sky;
It won't come home if you're not there,
You don't know my love what a beautiful night
I have a feeling that you are in that star.
                The cat that is sad and blue;
It is never forgotten that you were mine,
                But it what will know about my suffering;
Because there is not a tear in my eyes.
                Dear, dear life of mine;
Reflection of the moon that laughed,
                If loving is wrong it's my fault I loved you;
Deep down, what is life? Don't know.
                The cat that is in our sky;
it won't come home if you're not there,
You don't know my love what a beautiful night
I have a feeling that you are in that star.
                The cat that is sad and blue;
It is never forgotten that you were mine,
You will always be in my gaze,
                Clear spring tears.
                The cat in the darkness
it knows that there is a tear in my soul.

Hola, comunidad.

                ENGLISH

Hello community. We reach week #50 of "Praise and Worship Music", a talent show organized by @stefy.music. It is not a competition, and its ultimate goal is worship and/or praise to our Creator. In fact, the proposed theme for this week is "Glorified be your name." This motivated me to share with you the song "I praise your goodness." It is a song that begins by expressing deep gratitude for what you are, what you have, observing yourself and then singing with your whole being from gratitude.

This song is a means to give thanks for our friendship with God, for the trust we have in Him, for the happiness and peace He gives us. Contemplate his goodness and sing his faithfulness forever. And after contemplating these aspects, the song leads us to give glory to Him for His goodness and to express that the song of His goodness and the testimony to others will always be in our mouths, sharing with them the joy that He has made us feel. and explaining to them all the good that can always be found in a life dedicated to Him, from our own reality since He loves us even while being totally aware of who we are and how we live, because He loves us just as we are.

Another detail that makes this song important is the fact that it can be converted into prayer, you can pray with Him since it does not speak to us about God but speaks to Him directly: “Glory to You, Lord, for Your goodness.” …”

I would very much like them to learn it and include it in their repertoire. In the church I attend we sing it at very special moments: communion during the Eucharistic celebration, and also during the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, popularly known as “Holy Hour.” It is always a source of blessing to sing this song. Because God does not need us to worship Him, to praise Him, even when it is right to do so, He does not have that need. However, for us it is a real necessity to do so.

Dedicating time daily to worship and praise our Lord makes us strong spiritually speaking. Respond to the request to “Pray without ceasing”…we know that “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak”…but in worship and praise, in prayer in general there is so much power that praying, despite our weaknesses, prevents us from falling into temptation.

Once I was visiting an evangelical Christian church and its pastor (sheperd) was preaching, among the things he said, one powerfully caught my attention. Half jokingly, half seriously, he commented “each one of us has his favorite sin”, we could call it his “Achilles heel”, his weakness, perhaps the “thorn in the flesh” that Saint Paul spoke of. That “law” that he mentioned that drove him to do evil. Impulse that stops with prayer.

Modern life is full of activities... so many that they do not fit into the time we have to do things. So we say that “time flies”, “time is not enough now”, “as children Sundays were looong, not now”. Is what the Lord said in his Word about the days being limited already being fulfilled? Or is it that we have filled our time with activities without taking into account their volume and now, overwhelmed because we cannot do them all, we get up early and go to bed late trying to “turn night into day”?

It will be time to review our schedule and instead of trying to figure out how to have more than 24 hours in a day to be able to do everything...eliminate the extra activities we have.

That schedule must be reviewed, and if we have everything planned and a predetermined schedule day by day but we have not allocated in any day the time that we need daily to pray...let us also eliminate one or two activities daily or whatever. necessary so that we can take time without haste to praise and worship our Creator Father.

These last days of the year we usually make our list of resolutions for the new year, I recommend that one of those resolutions is to take into account in our daily schedule the time to dedicate to worship and praise and if we already have it, increase the time that we We already dedicated ourselves to nourish ourselves with His Word and prayer.

. Hello, community of music lovers, I hope that this year is ending for you with a balance in favor of positive things and that the coming year is even better.
Shalom, the peace of God and his blessing rest in your lives, in your homes and in your families.

I bring you a Christmas song of my authorship. A "bonus". In Venezuela we call "carols" the songs of adoration of the Child Jesus, with very devout lyrics and sweet, soft melodies. And there are the "aguinaldos de parranda" which are songs with lyrics that may or may not speak directly about Christmas and whose music is more cheerful and many times is even danceable.

.In addition, the gift we give or receive because it is Christmas and the extra amount that employers pay their workers for these dates is called "bonus."
This bonus that I composed a few years ago is called "The Meaning of Christmas." It mentions things like hallacas, which is the most important typical Christmas dish of our Creole cuisine. It is a type of cake that is cooked by parboiling it wrapped in banana leaves, which gives it a touch of characteristic flavor.
The dough is made with corn flour and the filling - before - was made up of beef, chicken and pork, bacon, olives, capers, raisins, onion, garlic, paprika, a special stew that sometimes could also contain a little of wine. In the Andes region, a potato-growing land par excellence, it also has potatoes... and has other variations depending on the area. This dish was a must-have at Christmas on every table, but now it is rarely seen due to the price of its ingredients that keeps it out of the "pocket" of the vast majority of Venezuelans. Also mentioned is ham bread, special from this time, a bread that has pieces of smoked ham, olives and raisins integrated into its dough. The "Ponche Crema" is a drink that was not missing from our tables either, but its price now completely distances it from them.
Finding ourselves that we have had to give up so many details that were for us synonymous with Christmas - like the family reunion, for example, which is now done by video calls and not in person, because our relatives are no longer here -, we all These are details that have made the joy of Christmas mix in a contradictory but forceful way with feelings of nostalgia and loss.

For that reason I composed this song, its lyrics invite us to recognize the true meaning of Christmas, which is celebrating the Nativity of our Lord, and that is a reason for joy even if everything else that for so long we were able to associate in a real and real way is missing. not only in memory with these dates.

May God bless us all and may we live the memory of the Nativity of our Lord with full joy of heart that cannot be clouded by our shortcomings.

                  THE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS

Original song by María Teresa Fuenmayor (@sayury)
//Tin, tilín, tilín, tilín, tin, tin, tilín, tilín, tin, tin, tilín, tilín, tin, so.
The bells are ringing loudly today

//Adoring the Child, the blessed Child,
the humanized God who was born in the portal//

                  3. Maybe there are no hallacas, the

                  4. ham bread missing and
the cream punch could not be cooled
Because? Because the power went out!
But we celebrate that the Child Jesus was born
                    that's the meaning of Christmas
what we celebrate is that the Child Jesus was born
that is the meaning of Christmas.
