The team raised the following concerns and the Minister participated, clarified and contributed in the discussion
· Delay in issuing of parent migration visa under subclass 143. While the decision on this visa remains pending, tourist or any other visas of such applicants are normally declined
· Spouse migration now takes 9-12 months for processing, previously it used to take 3-6 months
· The need and importance of the International Social Security Agreement between Australia & Bangladesh.
· Review of skill migration list to include additional professionals from Bangladesh.
· Creation of additional category for small business migration
· Reconsideration of IELTS scores applying for PR.
The Minister recommended that community send discussion paper for review and necessary actions by his Department.
Police in Papua New Guinea have removed some of the men who have been refusing to leave the decommissioned detention centre on Manus Island.
Witnesses have reported seeing several busloads of men driven from the centre.
Iranian refugee and journalist Behrouz Boochani is among those who have been removed.
For three weeks, the men have been refusing to leave the centre which was shutdown on October 31st.
They've argued that moving to new accommodation in the main town of Lorengau would put their safety at risk.

He also began playing the bansuri (bamboo flute) and trained under noted classical flautist VG Karnad in India.
Siddiqui came to mainstream attention in 2000 with the release of Humayun Ahmed's film “Shrabon Megher Din”. However, his music career began much earlier, back in the 70s.
He continued to sing in films and tele-films as well after that, along with performing at concerts and on TV. He further released several music albums.
He has worked extensively with lyricist Shahidullah Farayezi and has performed and conducted workshops in France, Switzerland, Malaysia, Pakistan, Iran and Singapore.
India's Manushi Chhillar has won the Miss World beauty pageant for the year 2017. The win comes 17 years after Priyanka Chopra brought home the coveted title in the year 2000.. Around 108 women from across the world participated in the beauty pageant.
Ms Chhillar, a 20-year-old from Haryana,India studied in St. Thomas School in New Delhi and Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonepat.
After reaching the top five, Ms Chhillar was asked during the Question and Answer round, which profession she thought deserved the highest salary and why.
Replying to the question, Ms Chhillar said it was not a question about a person's salary and that a mother was worthy of the highest respect.
"I think a mother is of highest respect. I don't think its just about cash but love and respect she gives to someone. She is the biggest inspiration in my life. Mother should get highest respect."
The seventh edition of the Bangladesh Book Fair start at Mohor Kunja. Kolkata
The 9-day fair is organised by Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata.
The Kolkata edition of Bangladesh Book Fair was started in the city first time in 2011. This year, there will be around 44 book stalls at the fair and many of the prominent publishers from Bangladesh will put up their stalls there.
This year the venue of the book fair has shifted to Mohor Kunja from Rabindra Sadan.
These books are written by Bangladeshi authors and published in Bangladesh.
The fair will also host cultural events, including programmes highlighting Bangladeshi folk traditions. The cultural programmes will be held at the book fair in every evening where artists from both the countries will be participating.

More than 130 thousand Indians have booked a flight to Mars which is a part of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s In Sight mission.
In Sight, which stands for Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport, is slated to be launched on May 5, 2018. In Sight is a 728-day mission, which is expected to land on Mars on November 26, 2018.
The space agency has said that those who have submitted their names have been provided online boarding passes. All the names are reviewed, approved and then etched onto a microchip, the space agency has said. The microchip will then be placed aboard the spacecraft, which will land on Mars.
Bangladesh Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha has resigned about six weeks after he went on leave amid criticism by the government over a Supreme Court verdict which scrapped Parliament's power to remove judges on grounds of misconduct and incapacity.
Justice Sinha which term was scheduled to expire in January next year is the first top judge of the country to step down.
Now abroad, he sent his resignation letter to Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid .
