मई 2017 में आदिवासी और टोरेस स्ट्रेट आइलैंडर समुदाय के प्रतिनिधि उलुरू के पास फर्स्ट नेशन्स नेशनल कॉन्स्टिट्यूशनल कन्वेन्शन के लिए एक साथ एकत्र हुए और ऑस्ट्रेलियाई लोगों को दिल से उलुरू व्यक्तव्य सौंपा.

यह वक्तव्य ऑस्ट्रेलिया के संविधान में प्रतिष्ठापित फर्स्ट नेशंस समुदाय की आवाज़ को ऑस्ट्रेलियाई संसद में मुखर करने का प्रस्ताव करता है, और समझौते बनाने और सत्य-स्थापना की प्रक्रिया बताता है.

यह फर्स्ट नेशंस समुदायों के साथ ऑस्ट्रेलिया भर से 13 विचारशील क्षेत्रीय संवादों का समापन था.

इस वक्तव्य का उद्देश्य ऑस्ट्रेलिया के फर्स्ट नेशंस लोगों और ऑस्ट्रेलिया देश के मध्य सत्य, न्याय और आत्मनिर्णय के आधार पर एक रिश्ता स्थापित करना है|
