The newly instated Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs, David Coleman has told SBS Punjabi this week that 21,000 applications for citizenship have already been approved in the months of July and August this year, which is a much better outcome than last year. 

"Some level of English (proficiency) is good for migrants as well as for the country," said Minister David Coleman to SBS Punjabi. "I'm currently considering what level that should be at," he added.
