  • Ben Fred Friday – February 11, 2022
We visit with Ben Frederickson about the big game this Sunday and many St. Louis fans on the Cincinnati bandwagon. Can Joe Burrow defeat Kroenke in his shiny new stadium?

We also take a look at Blues' extension for Coach Berube. Ben says he's weathered so many challenged over the years and this deal is a reward. From winning as interim, to covid and not letting Tarasenko's trade request become a dark cloud. At the trade deadline, do they give up a first round pick to make a big push?

Can baseball make a deal? Rob Manfred with some controversial statements yesterday saying that spring training and a full season are a must. Also, he casually mentioned the universal DH has been approved. What could that mean for the Cardinals? We talk about how crazy it could be for free agent signings once a deal is reached. How about the players from outside the US getting Visas and travel approved?

Is SLU a tournament team if decided right now? They face St. Bonaventure tonight. Listen here:

  • Wednesday with Walton – February 9, 2022
We talk about Keith Law's rankings of the Cardinals farm system. Last year the club was 11th, this year 13th. Brian Walton agrees with his list of top players, but especially Gorman being higher than Walker. Liberatore and Herrera are next but how about details on Masyn Winn? Will he be pitcher or position player? Walton talks about about Zack Thompson's role with the club going forward. He was a first rounder then fell a bit from grace though made a better name for himself last year. We get into Michael McGreevy's start for 2022 as well. Josh Baez does not lack confidence and could be characterized as high risk, high reward. Andre Pallante has deceptive delivery and could make an impact as a pitcher in Memphis. We also examine the minor league teams that have no affiliation with MLB now. Listen here:

  • Ben Fred Friday – February 4, 2022
Ben Frederickson talks to us about the Brian Flores lawsuit against the NFL. As a class action suit, will anyone join him alleging racial hiring issues? How does the gambling play into it with Flores getting 100k to lose? This looks like one more instance of the NFL doing whatever it wants with no repercussions.

SLU and Dayton play tomorrow and Yuri Collins is lighting it up. Ben talks how the Billikens should finish the season. We also talk about Mizzou's hoops season.

Ben delves into the St. Louis Cardinals top prospects in Keith Law's list this week. The team needs a full spring training with all the injured players trying to return this year. Will they get a spring training at all? Where do the top minor leagues fit in for this year if the club can't get enough of rehab for others?

Jordan Kyrou in the All-Star game, and a much needed break for the Blues. We talk it over here:
