In days like ours, when the world is in turmoil like never before and with the current state of the family and the church, it's good to be reminded of Scriptures like this one that Jim noted from Isaiah 40:Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.As Jim also noted, it's critical that as we begin 2024, we keep our focus on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, and his word. After all, as Jesus said in Matthew 24:35: Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.Then there's 1 Peter 1:25 which says: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever.
