This episode profiles the hate crime related murder of 73-year-old Germaine Porcea Clarkston, who was gunned down on December 4, 1999, during a road rage incident, by 24-year-old David Wayne Starkey, in Millington Maryland. The case was investigated by the FBI as a civil rights violation, but a Judge eventually threw out the hate crime charges because of lack of evidence.

This episode also profiles the unsolved stabbing murder of 23-year-old Sandra Lee Berkey Knight, who was found stabbed in her apartment in the 7800 block of Winbourne Drive in Glen Burnie, on July 2, 1974.
