Duae carotae degluptae et sectae
1 tbsp butyrum
1/4 poculi iogurtum vel lac vel lac ex soia vel avenis vel nucibus sine saccharo.
Frustum zingiberis una unca in magnitudine, delaniatum Carotas et rapa in aqua salinata ferventi coques dum mollia faciantur (plusminus XX minutas.) Ex aqua removeas et ope machinulae culinariae holera permisceas. Butyrum et lac vel iogurtum addas et succum e zingibere et salem. Iterum permisceas. Gustes et salem vel zingiberem addas. Optime sapit cum carne gallinacea vel gallopavone assata.
Peel 2 carrots and a large rutabaga and cut into 1 inch pieces. Cook in boiling water until they are soft (about 20 minutes). Drain the vegetables and pulse them in a food processor until quite smooth. Add 1 or 2 tbsp butter, a dollop of yogurt or cream or any unsweetened soy, oat, or nut milk. Grate a 1 inch nugget of ginger and squeeze the juice into the mashed vegetables, process again with the food processor. Add salt to taste. Excellent accompaniment with roast chicken or turkey.
