Ronald Reagan correctly observed that “Personnel is policy.” And Team Biden has repeatedly proven that bad appointments result in terrible policies. Fortunately, the U.S. Senate has a chance to prevent additional harm by blocking the nomination of an advocate for Islamist policies to a senior State Department post.

Unfortunately, its Foreign Relations Committee yesterday approved the nomination of Rashad Hussain to become the top diplomat responsible for promoting religious liberty around the world. Moderate Muslims have warned against this appointment of a co-religionist on the grounds that, as one put it: “Mr. Hussain has protected and advanced the illiberal values of Islamic theocracies that perpetuate a disturbing and hateful ideology of Muslim supremacy.”      

Muslim Brotherhood front groups enthusiastically support Rashad Hussain. If Senators object to the intolerant policies favored by such Sharia-supremacists, they must disapprove the nomination of one of their champions.

Bad news for millions of Americans whose lives have been upended – or destroyed – by the Chinese Communist Party’s pandemic. Or who hate the idea of legitimating the CCP’s Genocide Games in February. Or its bid to dominate the world and take down our country in the process.

John Solomon’s “Just the News” reports that “a loose coalition of lawmakers, nonprofits, and academics” is demanding that Team Biden end the so-called “China Initiative” it inherited from President Trump. That program is designed to “identify and prosecute those engaged in hacking, stealing trade secrets, and conducting economic espionage for the Chinese government on U.S. soil.”

It’s a crime to betray our country by aiding and abetting her enemies. If we don’t root out and punish such behavior, those enemies will inevitably defeat us. That must not be allowed to happen on our watch.

The Biden wrecking operation’s most devastating legacy could be its destruction of the value and reserve currency status of the U.S. dollar. The inflation wracking Americans today is but a small foretaste of what will ensue if the dollar is dethroned.

The terrible conflict in Korea sixty years ago is properly described as “the Forgotten War.” Especially lost to memory is the strategic mistake many experts believe precipitated South Korea’s invasion by the North. We may be poised to make an equally fraught mistake in our time.

In 1950, then-Secretary of State Dean Acheson publicly drew a line describing America’s critical interests in Asia that excluded South Korea. Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin concluded that his puppet in Pyongyang, Kim Il-sung, could seize the entire Korean peninsula with impunity. The rest as they say is history, however poorly it is recalled. 

Today, North Korea is promoting a peace agreement formally ending the Forgotten War. Unfortunately, as we discuss in a powerful new television series called “Issues Alive” rolling out today, this diplomatic gambit may produce another invasion of the South – and Korean War 2.0.

Keith Krach is a largely unsung hero of the Trump presidency. Like the President he served as the Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment, he didn’t need the work. Unlike so many of his peers at the pinnacle of American capitalism, his idea of a “great reset” is onshoring our supply chains, rebuilding our industrial base and investing patriotically – instead of in our enemy’s capabilities to destroy us.

President Biden is convening this week a virtual Summit of Democracies. Of course, what matters is not a nation’s nominal political system, but its commitment to freedom. Adolf Hitler is among the many totalitarians who came to power following an election.

Peru is the most recent example of this phenomenon, yet it’s among Mr. Biden’s invitees. Earlier this year, Communists used a fraudulent election to take power – and move that strategic South American nation inexorably into the ranks of democracy’s enemies. 

Peru will soon host its own, actual summit in the Incan Empire’s capital city of Cusco. Think of the attendees as a new Communist Internationale “with Chinese characteristics.” The attendees will use the occasion to advance the Marxists’ imminent take-over of the Western hemisphere, with considerable help from China, Russia and Iran.

Will truly freedom-loving nations do anything to stop them?

Joe Biden spent two hours yesterday on a high-stakes phone call with Russia’s Vladimir Putin. Unfortunately, such diplomatic heavy lifting – like Biden’s recent, four-hour “virtual summit” with China’s Xi Jinping – constitutes elder-abuse for a man in his declining cognitive condition. Worse yet, it may put our country and its vital interests in significant jeopardy.

After all, thugs like Putin and Xi have gotten where they are, and remained there, by understanding and exploiting their adversaries’ strengths and shortcomings. Even before Biden’s disastrous defeat in Afghanistan, both men had taken his measure – and were underwhelmed, to put it mildly.

There’s a very real risk that both Putin and Xi will calculate that they can exploit Biden’s condition and inadequacies – and the condition to which both have reduced the United States – to chew off additional parts of the Free World with impunity.

In light of the Chinese Communist Party’s ongoing genocide and record of other human rights abuses, U.S. officials will engage in a so-called “diplomatic boycott” of the Beijing Olympic Games in February. That action is at once a confirmation of our nation’s treaty obligation to punish the Chinese government for its genocidal conduct, and a pathetically inadequate fulfillment of that duty.

The Chinese Communists have responded with appropriate contempt, noting that our officials weren’t invited and no one cares if they come. What does matter is that, as of now, U.S. athletes, support staff and corporate sponsors will still be legitimating the regime perpetrating such crimes against humanity. And emboldening it to believe even worse can be perpetrated with impunity.

In light of what’s at stake, no American should attend, participate in or otherwise support the CCP’s Genocide Games. Not one.

Our financial war with China is escalating. The Securities and Exchange Commission finally required actual audits of Chinese Communist Party companies in U.S. capital markets. And China’s counterpart to Uber known as Didi became the first to delist here. Beijing expects, however, that its “old friends” on Wall Street will still invest Americans’ money in such problematic corporations when they re-list in Hong Kong.

Consumers’ Research recently warned ten governors about their state pension plans’ exposure to risky Chinese companies. It observes that Larry Fink’s “BlackRock loves China” and invests there without due regard for U.S. investor protection, human rights values or national security interests.

Didi, China’s counterpart to Uber, exemplifies the dangers of investing in companies controlled by the Chinese Communist Party. Following its Initial Public Offering on Wall Street last summer, a CCP investigation sent the stock plunging, inflicting losses of $22 billion in market value.

Now, the CCP is compelling Didi to delist from the New York Stock Exchange over concerns that U.S. capital markets might finally start requiring proper audits of Chinese companies. Didi will likely relist in Hong Kong, however – a gambit enabling continued American investment under circumstances that protect neither our investors nor broader national interests.
