I have an important message if you love our constitutional Republic, follow Jesus Christ, are a Republican, want to Make America Great Again and/or voted for Donald Trump: You are now being officially “othered” by the Biden administration.

A chilling video-taped webinar our Committee on the Present Danger: China conducted yesterday showed that “othering” is a technique routinely used by totalitarians like Marxists that, if allowed to run its course, will result in the singling out, persecuting and even destroying of its targets.

The most promising corrective is genuinely free and fair elections this fall that offer an opportunity to repudiate and halt such behavior. Unfortunately, people in power and prepared to “other” the majority of Americans may try not only to steal votes, but prevent them from being cast. That must not be allowed to happen.

It’s no longer debatable that energy policy involves more than the sources of electric power countries or American states utilize to keep their consumers warm, cool, fed or employed. It is a matter of life and death.

For example, soaring temperatures in California are poised to precipitate rolling blackouts – and that’s before everyone there will depend on electricity for transportation. If heat prostration doesn’t take its toll, power disruption of vital services will.

Meanwhile, Europe will freeze this winter due to the knock-on effects of the war in Ukraine and reckless decisions by politicians to “go green.”

We can no longer ignore the imperative of enhancing the resiliency of our electric grid and the reliability of our energy supplies. Those who pretend otherwise are on notice that, if they persist in endangering both, they will be held responsible for the resulting carnage.

The people of Chile just delivered a stunning rebuke to the Communist they elected as president last year, Gabriel Boric. Call it “buyer’s remorse.”

In a referendum Sunday, fully 61 percent of voters rejected a new, leftist constitution Boric strongly supported. It represents the first significant setback to the red tsunami that has seen one after another of our hemisphere’s nations entrust power to the not-so-tender-mercies of Communists.

The question is not only whether a better constitution will now emerge in Chile, one that will actually check Boric’s bid to effect what Barack Obama would call the “fundamental transformation” of that country?

Even more important is whether the Chilean electorate’s second thoughts will encourage voters in Brazil – the last major free nation in the region, to spare their nation the restoration in November of another dangerous Communist, felonious ex-president Lula da Silva.

As NASA struggles to launch its Artemis 1 rocket in support of a new U.S.-China race to the moon, fresh evidence is accumulating concerning the Chinese Communist Party’s ominous ambitions in space.

Specifically, the CCP is determined to dominate the so-called “earth-moon system” since that will enable them, in turn, to dominate what happens here on earth.

Consequently, Chinese strategists are now calling for the CCP to destroy Elon Musk’s vast Starlink constellation of small communications satellites. That’s not for fear they’ll cause collisions.

Rather, it’s because they will afford global internet access outside the CCP’s control and make America’s space posture more resilient.

The CCP is at war with us and we must not permit them to weaponize space – whether by colonizing the moon, attacking our assets in the High Frontier or launching weapons from there to strike us on earth.

President Biden’s Independence Hall speech last night amounted to incitement to violence against millions of supporters of Donald Trump’s efforts to Make America Great Again.

Biden effectively launched an officially sponsored color revolution – complete with an ominously lit Marxist red backdrop and military personnel literally in the shadows behind him. His rhetorical “othering” of “MAGA Republicans,” combined with the imagery, conveyed the unmistakable message that our armed forces will be weaponized against the “threat” they pose to “democracy,” as he has already done with the FBI, the Justice and Homeland Security Departments and IRS.

 Biden is right on two scores: “Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal” and that it’s a time for choosing. He is, however, greatly compounding what is wrong – namely, his presidency and policies – and intent on foreclosing Americans’ ability to choose an alternative.

President Biden is expected to use a rare prime time address tonight to reiterate attacks he has repeatedly made in recent days on millions of supporters of Donald Trump’s efforts to Make America Great Again.

Biden’s description of “his Republican MAGA friends” as “semi-fascists” in conjunction with calls to restrict gun ownership and loose talk about an impending “civil war” goes beyond rallying the Democratic base in the run-up to a critical mid-term election. The question occurs: Is all this calculated to provoke people on the right, and provide a pretext for a leftist government to crack down on them?

If so, more than just the prospects for a free and fair election are in jeopardy. A prime beneficiary, as is generally true of Team Biden’s policies, would be a Chinese Communist Party seeking to take down our country.

On the occasion of Mikhail Gorbachev’s death, he is being credited for allowing the Soviet Union and its Evil Empire to unravel peaceably. In fact, thanks to Ronald Reagan, as a practical matter, he had little choice.

To be sure, the Soviet army still had many weapons with which to kill and oppress. But thanks to President Reagan’s determination to roll back the USSR – something he pledged to do in the 1980 campaign and then accomplished with a comprehensive strategy aimed at bankrupting the Kremlin’s communist system – Gorbachev was reduced to presiding over a national Chapter 11.

We’ll be unable to achieve a similar victory over the Soviet Union’s successor as what Ronald Reagan would call our time’s “existential threat to freedom” – namely, the Chinese Communist Party – as long as we persist in underwriting and otherwise propping it up via “engagement.”

In recent months, the Iranian regime has redoubled its threatening behavior. For example, it has plotted to kill former U.S. officials in our country. It has enriched uranium effectively to bomb grade and finally acknowledged that it has the option to deploy nuclear weapons.

And Iran’s proxy militiamen in Iraq have just flexed their muscles by attacking government buildings and even the U.S. embassy in Baghdad’s supposedly secure Green Zone. While their leader, Muqtada al-Sadr, has ordered them to withdraw, the point has been made: They can take over there at any time.

Incredibly, Team Biden’s response to such abiding – and growing – threats is to press on with the completion of a new deal that has no prospect of blocking the mullahs’ nuclear ambitions. Instead, it will simply help underwrite, legitimate and otherwise enable them. That’s simply insane, and must be abandoned.

Whistleblowers have reportedly been confirming to Senators Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley what many of us have long suspected: The Federal Bureau of Investigations is no longer a premier law enforcement agency whose senior leaders honor their oaths to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

Instead, the acronym FBI these days seems to stand for “Friends of Biden, Inc.” – namely, the crime syndicate that does business as our nation’s First Family.

Thus, we have the spectacle of heavily armed FBI agents rounding up and humiliating the President’s political enemies, including raiding the Florida home of his once and likely future rival. Even more corrupt have been the Bureau’s efforts to cover up for or otherwise protect the serial lies, corruption and betrayals of the “Big Guy,” his son, other relatives and business partners.

“White supremacists,” veterans, constitutionalists, militia members, school board-protesting parents and other patriots move over. Team Biden has a new internal enemy. It’s now warning that so-called “Christian Nationalists” are suspected of being potential violent extremists.

A chilling webinar last week addressing the “Demonization of America’s Christians” made plain that what is afoot is nothing less than the “othering” of those who follow Jesus. And people like former Trump strategist Steve Bannon who encourage their engagement in political life are being portrayed as ominously “summoning an army” that is somehow a threat to our nation.

Author Don Hanle says the process of othering entails: vilifying a group; dehumanizing its members; stripping them of rights; and, inexorably, subjecting them to violent persecution. This is happening to 360 million Christians elsewhere. It must not be allowed to happen here.
