Joe Biden just extracted from taxpayers a campaign contribution for Democrats running for office this fall. It comes in the form of cancellations in whole or in part of some Americans’ student loan debt, and is expected to cost over $300 billion.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi says only Congress can do that, and courts presumably will have their say. But the economic damage will have already been done.
So will the harm to our society. Millions of us who either took out such loans for expensive college educations and paid them back, or simply did not attend college, will be footing the bill, in a classic, Marxist involuntary redistribution of wealth.
“Free stuff” from government for favored groups – especially at election time – is hardly unprecedented. But this gambit’s inherent unfairness and financial burdens on others will feed animosities and further undermine our nation.

One of the most difficult tasks for U.S. intelligence is anticipating what our country’s enemies are going to do next. The Taliban’s overrunning of Kabul, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Communist China’s biological warfare attack called COVID-19 are recent examples of nasty surprises.
Our national security agencies seem no better prepared to forecast the next shoe to drop: namely, military action by the Chinese Communist Party against Taiwan, our other friends and allies in region or even U.S. assets, personnel and territory. The party line seems to be that we needed not worry about such a threat for two or more years.
One of America’s foremost China experts, Gordon Chang, however, points out that publicly available evidence is accumulating that the Chinese are actively preparing for war. This appears to be no drill, and we cannot afford to be surprised again.

Tony Fauci’s announcement yesterday that he would finally step down from a public health post that he has parlayed over thirty-eight years into one of the most powerful – and the highest compensated – in the federal administrative state is a kind of Rorschach test.
Those who have seen Dr. Fauci as the heroic scientist who valiantly, and successfully, led the response to the COVID-19 pandemic are anguished by his retirement in December. For those of us perceiving him instead as the villainous uber-bureaucrat whose role reflected not hard science, but personal calculation and benefit, his departure is long-overdue and can’t come soon enough.
The question is: Will Fauci be held accountable, for example, for the consequences of his enabling the Chinese Communist Party’s biological warfare program to use U.S. funds and technology to create the coronavirus that has killed a million of us?

On Friday, America lost one of its most brilliant, impactful and indefatigable patriots, Peter Vincent Pry. Over forty years of service, both in government and out, he provided national leadership on the need to correct the vulnerabilities of our most critical of critical infrastructures, the electric grid – and how to do so.
Dr. Pry was driven by the possibility that hostile powers, or even Mother Nature, could devastate our country and its people by taking down the grid. He helped create and staff a congressional commission that assesses how to mitigate the grid’s susceptibility to electromagnetic pulse (or EMP), as well as sabotage, cyberattacks and space weather.
Fortunately, Peter will have a living legacy. He features prominently in a new documentary film entitled “Grid Down, Power Up” designed to catalyze a movie-to-movement to “harden” the grid.

The Biden presidency has brought us, among many other afflictions, an open border with Mexico. Communities across our nation are grappling with the societal, economic and security implications of the millions of mostly unvetted aliens who have entered the country illegally – the majority of them unaccompanied, military-age men.
In addition to the obvious impact of thus changing our demographics and later, if not sooner, America’s electorate – in particular in so-called “red” states – Biden’s wrecking of our border has transformed Mexico, as well. The practical effect has been to enormously enrich the cartels who rapaciously traffic men, women and children into the United States. They are now engaged in open warfare that is making our southern neighbor a failed state.
The predictable consequence will be millions more fleeing here – unless the border wall is completed and defended immediately. Just do it.

Ed Dowd is one of Wall Street’s most highly regarded analysts. Yesterday, he warned Steve Bannon’s audience that “China is collapsing.” He added that, “Internally, [the Chinese Communists] are going to have to create an enemy outside of China to rally people around.”
Unfortunately, the Chinese Communist Party has already created that enemy – and it is us. Our webinar today will examine the “People’s War” the CCP actually declared against America in May 2019.
The Biden Pentagon would have us believe that China won’t be ready to invade Taiwan for another two to five years. Maybe so. More likely, such whistling past the graveyard bespeaks the hope that we will be better prepared by then to defend against such a threat to Taiwan or to our assets, personnel or territory.
We need to get on a war-footing now. Learn more at PresentDangerChina.org.

Liz Cheney’s electoral rejection as the sole representative in the U.S. House of the people of Wyoming shows that a condition known as “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” which she has increasingly manifested, can be politically fatal.
For those of us who have worked in the past with Rep. Cheney and her similarly afflicted father, this transformation has been appalling. Their stated determination to do whatever is necessary to destroy Donald Trump has given the appearance of bipartisan cover to one of the greatest travesties in congressional history – the Stalinesque January 6th Committee. It has become a personal vendetta that encourages his unequal treatment under law.
Alas, we are likely to see Liz Cheney exemplify the warning about the fury of “a woman scorned.” Wyoming voters’ repudiation makes clear, however, that henceforth she is playing full-time for the other team.

There’s talk we’ll face this fall new outbreaks of the COVID-19 pandemic. Or perhaps, the Chinese Communist Party will subject us to an even worse virus than the one that’s killed a million of us so far.
The Committee on the Present Danger: China is exploring in a webinar at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time today why the United States responded to the last pandemic by adopting the unprecedented “China Model.” That entailed imposing masks, lockdowns, the mandated use of inadequately tested “vaccines” and digital vax “passports” for enforcing them.
Tragically, the China Model doesn’t work. Besides the Americans who needlessly died, countless others have been gravely harmed, physically, economically and due to freedoms lost. Before anyone tries to reinstitute this disastrous totalitarian regimen, we need to understand its failings and hold accountable those who promoted it here.

Question: Did the dozens of FBI agents who rummaged through former President Trump’s Florida home do something more there than remove large quantities of sensitive documents?
White House official-turned talk show host Sebastian Gorka told Steve Bannon’s “War Room Pandemic” show last week that a recently retired twenty-three year veteran of the Bureau asserted: “Given the amount of equipment they rolled into Mar-a-Lago and the fact they spent nine hours there, he believes the Bureau planted surveillance equipment, bugs, inside the President’s residence.”
The FBI raiders’ request that surveillance cameras inside Mar-a-Lago be turned off was reportedly not honored by the Secret Service. If so, an investigation into this suspicion should quickly confirm or deny whether Team Biden’s efforts to get something, anything, on President Trump surpassed even the notorious Watergate break-in that drove a previous president, Richard Nixon, from office.

We once were told that Merrick Garland was a great Supreme Court nominee as he had “unwavering fidelity to the rule of law.”
Indeed, when now-Attorney General Garland announced yesterday that he had personally authorized the FBI raid on former President Trump’s home, he declared, “Faithful adherence to the rule of law is the bedrock principle of the Justice Department and of our democracy….All Americans are entitled to the evenhanded application of the law, to due process of the law, and to the presumption of innocence.”
As we await the pretext given a federal magistrate to approve that raid, one thing is already clear: Donald Trump has not gotten equal treatment under law as that given prominent Democrats like Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder or Sandy Berger. For such weaponizing of the Justice Department, Garland must be impeached, if he won’t resign.
