Seequels: The Return to DTV

Sara (@SaraSorrentino), Ale (@Sick__66), and Shak (@ShakExcellence) watch and discuss The Prince & Me 2: The Royal Wedding, the 2006 DTV sequel to the 2004 original. It has a weirdly-named dude, some romance, accents, and—okay, let’s cut to the chase: this is the episode where Ale receives her birthday gift, a Cameo by Billy Zane!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALE!!!

Sara (@SaraSorrentino), Ale (@Sick__66), and Shak (@ShakExcellence) discuss Undisputed II: Last Man Standing, the sequel to the 2002 original Undisputed starring Wesley Snipes and Ving Rhames. They touch on the hotness of Michael Jai White and Scott Adkins, whether or not Sam Neill and/or Sam Elliott are in this movie, the “8 Mile” rip-off end credits song, and if this is the best action movie they’ve seen for the podcast. Also, a Billy Zane update!

Sara (@SaraSorrentino), Ale (@Sick__66), and Shak (@ShakExcellence) talk about brain-eating flying metal balls on this episode of their podcast focusing on DTV sequels. Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead has a Tall Man, yellow blood, and an amazing character in Rocky, who should be talked about a lot more, seriously. Plus, of course, theme park rides are discussed.

Sara (@SaraSorrentino), Ale (@Sick__66), and Shak (@ShakExcellence) finally discuss one of the longest-running, direct-to-video franchises ever with the first sequel to The Land Before Time, The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure. Let’s cut to the chase and say they bring up Rule 34 and things take a turn. Enjoy!

Much like Avatar (Airbender, not Cameron), when the world needed them most, they vanished. Now, Sara (@SaraSorrentino), Ale (@Sick__66), and Shak (@ShakExcellence) are back! And of course they’re going into hot animated dad territory with Aladdin and the King of Thieves! Listen to them wonder why references to Don King and Ozzie Nelson are made in a 1996 DTV kids movie, also listen to them get angry at John Rhys-Davies for being a terrible person in real life, but most importantly enjoy this episode!

Your hosts Sara (@SaraSorrentino), Ale (@Sick__66), and Shak (@ShakExcellence) welcome The Waffle Press boys Diego (@thediegocrespo) and Matt (@EmperorOTN1) to discuss Dragonheart: A New Beginning, the 2000 DTV sequel to the 1996 original. They discuss dragon, uhh, spit, theme park rides, the Super Mario Bros movie, the fact that there are five of these and SOMEONE likes the franchise enough to admit it. Please enjoy this very normal, very run-of-the-mill ep of Seequels!

Your hosts Sara (@SaraSorrentino), Ale (@Sick__66), and Shak (@ShakExcellence) finally talk to you about something they all love: Hot Wheels! That’s right, finally, the Seequels Gang talks about their passion, those little collectable car toys from their childhood. Oh and also they talk about Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves, the third film in the Shrunk series. Enjoy it, even if it’s’ just a little.

Your hosts Sara (@SaraSorrentino), Ale (@Sick__66), and Shak (@ShakExcellence) return to the Disney Kingdom with—oh wait, this isn’t Disney? Okay… They return to the Warner Home Video Kingdom(?) to discuss Another Cinderella Story, starring Selena Gomez , Jane Lynch, and the Ginger Snaps sisters. Not much else to say other than did you know there were so many A Cinderella Story sequels? Like nearly as many as Scorpion King sequels! Bizarre. Anyway, enjoy this episode!

Your hosts Sara (@SaraSorrentino), Ale (@Sick__66), and Shak (@ShakExcellence) talk about Werewolf Rules and the such as they focus on the DTV horror sequel Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning. It’s a boring movie, sure, maybe the most boring movie covered on this podcast. But still, Seequels is never boring, trust us. You have to trust us, otherwise this whole podcast-listener relationship just won’t work out. Enjoy!

This episode is brought to you by Tubi. Tubi: We’re a real thing!

Your hosts Sara ‘Big Country’ Sorrentino (@SaraSorrentino), Ale ‘Big Country’ Gonzalez (@Sick__66), and Shak ‘Big Country’ Lambert (@ShakExcellence) revisit The Scorpion King franchise with The Scorpion King 4: Quest for Power. They discuss The Hulk, Billy Zane’s Cameo, and the eventual GoFundMe that will fund Seequels’ attempt to get Billy Zane to record a Cameo for the podcast.
