On this episode of a NON-PROFIT Benny speaks to 3 volunteers from Irreverent Warriors. This episode focus on the mission and focus of Irreverent Warriors. We talk about why these three men have dedicated a major part of their current lives to a project like this. Benny believes that every NON-PROFIT has a story to tell and he wants that story to be told here. Marc, Dan, and Ryan speak about there journeys through the Silkie hike and how they found their tribe. We speak about life, mental toughness, and how they have used this program to help get through life's hardest days. They speak from experience about where they were vs where they are now mentally and emotionally. Find your tribe. Find the closest hike to you!
Benny and Gonzo talk about the current climate on the streets. We discuss current times on the duty and the stresses that consume the SNCOIC. We talk about what is and isn't working. We discuss how to battle family life and make the best of being SNCOIC. How do you take care of the mission while also giving your Marines that time back. It is important to remember your role as the SNCOIC and ensure you are properly training your Marines weekly. Keep your head up and grind. If you need help get it this world isn't the same without you and a no contract is worth your mental health.
For the usual listeners this is a very different podcast episode. So much so that Bennys Wife said that was a random guest. Benny speaks with Save Our Children Podcast hosts Becky and Bridget. They discuss the purpose and mission behind SAVE OUR CHILDREN. They dive deep into parenting in todays current climate as well as stories from the past. All 3 are parents navigating todays waters. Benny wants to have more deep conversations about parenting because it's something we all battle with daily. Either with our own parents or being them. We must be the best spouses and parents. We are in charge of their upbringing no one else. Together we can make be there for them as a community of parents. We speak about a lot of the problems plaguing our children in todays society.
Benny and Manny dive deep into Manny's last 3 years on Recruiting Duty. Now a month off the duty and preparing to PCS we discuss his tour of Duty. We all know the duty can be stressful and at times mentally debilitating. Manny talks about recruiting through Covid and being a single father. This is truly an unprecedented but as Marines we are meant to adapt and overcome. Manny talks about life as a Recruiter while being a single Father. We speak about mental health and mental toughness. Please reach out if this helps you in anyway and as always welcome to another episode of The SUC. ALSO PSA Manny had a NO SHAVE CHIT!
It has been said that no amount of positive mental attitude will change recruiting duty. I beg to differ. We can sit here all day and complain about the shitty hand we've been dealt or we can power through. I will never negate the fact that times are rough and that there is a serious lack of training. That doesn't change the fact that many have a power attitude toward the duty and toward having a successful tour. Benny and Charles discuss his current tour of duty. Charles discusses his attitude on the duty and his short falls at time. We discuss things that work for him and how he finds himself being successful through mroads. We will definitely have a follow up episode about more tricks and tips. We discuss product knowledge and how some Marines seem to believe the Marine Corps is worse than it's competition. Definitely one of my favorite episodes thus far.
Benny discusses Fatherhood with new found friend Brandon. Brandon is the owner-operator of IAMSUPPLEMENT. Brandon and Benny discuss their journey through fatherhood. We discuss a wide range of different topics. We talk about growth as men, husbands, and fathers. We talk about our mistakes and lessons we are learning along the way. Come join us as we discuss one of life's greatest gifts.
Welcome to another episode of The SUC. Today Benny and Matt discuss a wide range of topics. We spend sometime discussing FMAM and how it has become just an excuse for people to suck. FMAM and JJAS are the same as any time of year. Make it happen. Adapt and overcome. Stop making excuses about why your missing mission and just make it. Be real with yourself. Grads are out there you just aren't good at being in a direct market. You should always be in a direct market. Work your working file effectively and be systematic. It comes down to work ethic and a positive mental attitude. These are all things you have been told since boot camp but suddenly we forget them when we put deltas on. If you're a SNCOIC take care of your Marines. You're Marines won't make mission for you if all you do is make their lives harder. If you don't have their back why will they fight for you in the end? This is the same for the command. If you don't know your Marines on a personal level they will never "Buy In". Stop saying work hard now so we can get through FMAM/JJAS. No how about you just work hard 365 and prepare for the unexpected. There are Marines out there still writing 5 or more a month it's FMAM for them too.
