Send It Mate

This week we ask each other  what would be the signature weapon of choice if you were an old school gangster and also what the oldest gun we've fired is. Caleb brings 10 ancient hunting methods still in use today and we round out the episode with some listener ND's.

It was truly an honour to have Richard on the podcast. A well respected member of the hunting community in South Australia, Rich has such a breadth of knowledge and experiences that we feel like we were barely able to scratch the surface. Hope you enjoy our chat. Follow him on Insta @richbar17 .

This week we discuss the Canning Stock Route, how far you are prepared to go for the hunt, and personal preference on scope magnification.

Throw in some digressions about Bush Tucker Man, morning sex, and the bases of dating and you've got yourself an episode.

It's covid time and we can't travel anywhere so what a good time to talk about places we can't go. Caleb wants to go hunt Elk in the States, Ryan asks whether we could live as longhunters, and Josh....well there's a nipple out again this episode. He remembers a trip to Dubai and has a bit to say on Afghanistan and Pakistan.

New hunting pants have been bought, nipples are out and the port is flowing as we discuss keeping your meat clean, domestic vs outdoors hygiene, and household alternatives to clean your rifle.  We also chat about wearing camo in public.

We are back!........and you might actually be able to hear things a bit clearer this year. (AUDIO UPGRADES!)

During Going in Dry  we discuss gun storage, fitness for backpack hunting, and a trip where we thought summer was supposed to actually be hot.

This weeks ND covers our Good Samaritan act of pulling out a guy who was bogged to the axles after making a series of bad choices.

We left Ryan at home but we brought the mic along for you to listen to the raw sounds of Josh & Caleb having a quickie in Victoria.  A.K.A: we scooted across the border on a 3 day hunting trip / scout of some state forest. Come along for the ride (farts and all) as we check in throughout.

The Suspense is Killing Me gets us talking about the wait time when you switch off the spotlight and call for a fox, the countdown to hitting the road for a hunt, and the time we waited for Ryan to crawl into position to shoot a rabbit for 30mins only for him to miss and have no extra arrows. Check out our Insta for a video of some of the fox calls we use. This week's Negligent Discharge recounts the time we nearly killed four of us en route to save Josh's old man from a 'fire'. This is the final episode of season 1. Thanks heaps for listening and stay tuned. We'll be back bigger and better in 2021.

This week Ryan unzips and reveals a long, hard.......spotting scope. We cover Unimogs, sneaker lanes and sabot rounds. (There might actually be some educational value this week). We pat ourselves on the back for this briefly before getting bogged to the axles in filth - just like Josh's Hilux did as outlined by Caleb in this week's Negligent Discharge.

We have our first guest... Couchy! He joins us for a 4 way breakdown of 'Best of the Trek' during which we manage to cover Gucci hiking boots, marrying the Eiffel Tower, and saving people from dying on a fishing charter. Couchy brings the ND and we learn that giving up smoking makes Josh cranky AF. If you make it to the end of this week's episode Ryan will be there to greet you drunk, rambling and swaying on his feet.
