The early church lost the life of the Apostle James, but through it all they found the “prayer muscle” and saw the release of angelic power on their behalf.

In Antioch where they were first called Christians there was much idolatry, immorality, and divination. In this city, God revealed that He was far superior by using the prophetic gift to demonstrate to all that Jesus is Lord.

How can choppy waters, big swells and high winds be a benefit to us. While it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the storm and circumstances around, Jesus teaches us how to weather difficult conditions and come out on the other side with our focus on him.

Peter still had God in a box. Surely God could only move according to what Peter understood. Not so. God was going to show He was much bigger.

We cannot fight the current battle using human weapons. We need to fight through faith and obedience, being faithful to stand strong in an evil day.

The Apostle Paul was determined to destroy the faith of those who were following The Way. What started as a human plot was interrupted by Jesus, and the Apostle Paul ended up being one of the most profound conversions to Christ and powerful testimony in the New Testament.

It took persecution to get the church out of their comfort zone. Finally the word was spreading as the people were scattered through Judea and Samaria. Philip, a deacon, moved forward in the power of the Holy Spirit and He truly blessed his ministry.

The Lord saves you in your times of tribulation and not always from it. He who starts a good work in you will surely finish it.

Psalm 68:5-6 "Sing to God, praise his name; exalt the rider of the clouds. Rejoice before Him whose name is the Lord. Father of the fatherless, defender of widows - God in His holy abode.

Jesus reflects the father as our children are a reflection of us.

The Lord seeks a humble servant and shows us this by leaving his throne, and comings a servant to redeem us.
