The holy God of Israel is the same holy God of the Church. With every revival comes not only the fire power but also the fire of judgment beginning in the house of the Lord.

Peter and John were in the position where they had to chose between obeying God and obeying men. They decided that speaking with boldness of Jesus’ behalf was their only option.

The role of mothers is being marginalized in our culture. Pastor Jim encourages mothers to see the high value the Lord places upon their role.

Jesus called the disciples to wait in Jerusalem until the power of God would fall upon them. On the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit fell upon them with great power and released them to boldly declare the Gospel and begin to change the world.

After the resurrection of Jesus and before the outpouring of The Holy Spirit, Peter with the disciples finds himself moving back towards his old life. Jesus restores his soul after his three-fold failure, and Peter finds that His love for Jesus would be incomplete until the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus prayed that we would not be taken out of the world. He prayed that we might glorify God while we’re in the world.

Mary Magdalene would seem to have the most to lose if Jesus didn’t rise from the dead. How blessed must her soul have been when Jesus breathed in them and said, “ Receive the Holy Spirit.”
