Journey Of GRACE

Grace – A mighty spiritual force flowing out of God’s Love. The DNA of God’s love is expressed in His FAVOR and His Ability granted to all who will receive Him.

MY STORY OF GRACE:

Sovereign Grace

- His choices are beyond comprehension. He has a purpose in our journey/story!

Amazing Grace

- “He opened my heart” and I believed (Ephesians 2:8, 9)

- 1 Timothy 1:12 – He called me

Covenant Grace

- The Gift of Deena, Bryant ….

Identity Grace

- The abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness. (Romans 5:17)

- Favor in the Father’s eyes (2Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 1:3-6) (His Grace made us accepted)

- His indwelling ability

Warfare Grace (Authority Engaged)

- Not only His Favor, but His Ability!

- Ephesians 6:10-17; Matthew 16:17-19

Covering Grace

- Affirmation, Authority, Supernatural assignment ability often transferred, conveyed through other leaders given us to submit to and receive from! Moses/Joshua; Jesus/disciples; Paul/Timothy; James and the apostles/Paul and Barnabas

- 1 Thessalonians 5:12; Hebrews 13:17 …. Us

- For our Benefit! Protection, order, anointing, prosperity, prayer support, and spiritual power.

Suffering Grace

- “My God …. Why?” The depths of disappointment, fatigue, testing, exhaustion

Sustaining Grace

- Faith vs. Trust …. Proverbs 3:5, 6; Hebrews 13:5b

Overcoming Grace

- Changing perspectives (2 Corinthians 12:8-9)

- Over Time, questions changed!

- (2 Corinthians 1:3-11) The depths, the partnership of prayer

- Philippians 1:19-25

And GRACE will lead me home!

è “Fear of man is a snare (trap)” - Proverbs 29:25

• Psalm 27:1-6

è Numbers 13:1 – Numbers 14:38

è Fear is an inner image problem

• What lens am I looking through?

• What images are my words connected with?

• Remember, miracles, passive belief are not enough to defeat onslaught of fear.

è The Consequences of remaining fearful

• Death of faith …. Broken relationships …. Physical calamity …. Dreadful legacy …. Displeasing God

• Missing out on God’s Best!! (Hebrews 3:19)

è Embracing fear or neglecting to resist fear is lethal ….

• See it for what it is and who is behind it

• Declare and execute WAR on fear! Remember, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

• “Faith works by love” (Galatians 5:6)

Perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18)

The Fear Of Inadequacy

Review

Keys to Overcoming the Fear of Inadequacy

Turn Aside to Look (Exodus 3:4)

Hunger or need (James 4:8)

Stay and listen

Get revelation of “I AM”

Throw down every rod of self-sufficiency (Exodus 4:1-7)

Reveal what I’m holding on to (anger, shame, etc., etc.)

Look for Right Partners (Exodus 3:16, 17, 18)

Will believe and follow!

See self as a partner not an owner

Remember His intentions (Exodus 3:8, 17)

In LOVE He has a Good and Favorable plan for you

FACE YOUR FEARS (Exodus 4:18 - Exodus 6:13)

Take the next right step, retreating increases fear (Sometimes circumstances initially look worse. This is an opportunity to trust your Father and increase the Glory of His Victory and your personal gain.)

The Fear Of Inadequacy

What it looks like: projections of failure; lack; disappointment; self-absorption; preoccupation with present circumstances.

Kills desire for fulfillment; drains energy; isolation; frustration; living in past and confusion.

Roots: False focus; circumstances; others; painful journey; lack of internal and external resources.

Truth: God is positioning you for your success (even our failures can be used in our story of GRACE!)

May have accepted wrong assignment or held onto the familiar too long.

Transition; Change: A new normal; God’s Got This! “Baby Steps” change or “Thrown out of the Boat” (Need; desire)

Anchor, stabilize; Focus on the Lord of the change.

One Champion’s Journey: (Exodus 2:24 – 4:20)

God wants to do something! (Exodus 2:24, 25)

Moses “had it made” (Exodus 3:1) Not Really!

The encounter that changed everything! (Exodus 3:2)

All Sufficiency (Exodus 3:14, 15 – 22)

SNAKE!!! (Exodus 4:1-5)

OBJECTION: OVERRULED! (Exodus 4:1-20)

What does Fear look like?

Symptoms of the Root cause; rejection; failure; displeasing others; abandonment; lack; death; dying; disease; disability; etc.

What are the Results of Fear?

Attracts what we don’t want; lack of intimacy; control; manipulations; over compensation; flight; isolation; resistance to LOVE; self-absorption

Fear insults and violates the Character of God (1 John 4:16-18)

Blocks faith from working

How does Fear develop?

The Root …. Unbelief – A failure to believe and act on God’s Truth

Inherited and chosen

Open gates …. The soul; fear’s agents

Thoughts, images, internal words; corresponding words, actions.

The evil agent encouraging fear (2 Timothy 1:7)

How Do I Overcome Fear?

The Revelation of Fear’s destruction

The Faceoff; NO MORE; the process

Have to recognize and FACE our fears! “NO MORE!!”

Reveal; Repent (it violates God’s heart); Resist [the authority of the spoken Word; Renouncing]

How Do I Receive Greater Revelation Of The Love Of God Which Casts Out All Fear?

Receive, by Faith, the Love of God …. Continually! (Romans 5:5; 1 John 4:16, 18)

Where did I lose my joy!

REJOICE – Reconnect with Joy

The perfect plan …. Philippians 4:4-8

Investing in joy …. James 1:2-8

Trials, temptations, testing is the context – James 1:2, 3

Knowing: Revelation, deeper than information! (James 1:3)

Patience, endurance: The power of the Process: This is a Journey!

(Notice the context suggests the correlation of joy with patience.)

Wisdom: God’s perspective, given to those who ask in FAITH. (James 1:5, 6)

Joy: What Is It? Where Is It? Have I Lost It?

Session 2

Review: Joy is Heaven’s Fuel; God’s Energy; Not merely an emotion or enjoyment

The Source; Resource; Partnership

How do I lose connection with the Joy in me?

Me …. My fear …. Luke 2:10; 2 Timothy 1:7; 1 John 4:18: Fear repels the very essential source of life and victory.

Self-absorption …. When I focus on me, my circumstances, limitations, etc., I lose connection to Joy fast!

Fatigue …. Sometimes when you’ve been weary for an extended period, a deep, dark inner atmosphere can develop. Remember God’s example, Jesus and Psalm 23:1-3.

Others …. We are vulnerable when we start thinking and acting as if other’s opinions are our source of joy. (Misplaced security) Who have I allowed to steal my joy?

Satan …. John 10:10 – The thief whose agenda is to steal everything pertaining to Life!

Recognize when the disconnection has occurred. Ask the Holy Spirit; put your foot down; ask for trusted counsel; see a professional if needed.

Psalm 37:7

REJOICE. (Re-connect with your joy) …. Philippians 4:4-8
