Dia duit agus fáilte a chairde - hello and welcome friends 

This week is episode 28!
I had the privilege this week to speak with Deirdre Owens. We met on a virtual group chat and when I found out her story I had to ask to have her on. Thankfully Deirdre was kind enough to give me her time, even if she had a few scoops the night before haha. 
It is a terrifying story of hardship, murder, grief and isolation. But of course it is from a time of war and a city at the heart of it all. The beautiful Belfast!
 Only a few hours up the road from where
I was born in reared in Co Cork but I couldn’t be further removed from what Deirdre and her family and friends endured. Which is a good thing for me of course but at what cost?
The cost is that the government of the 26 counties totally disregarded what people had endured, are going through and will experience going forward in the northern six counties of Ireland. 

Here is just one of the stories. I hope we can support the survivors going forward and huge amount work is done in order to do so!

This week myself and my wife talk about our last week.
So much revealed to us and so much undertaken.
From diagnosis of OCD Disorder to road trip to New England.
Trying to find long lost cousins on AncestryDNA and uncovering that I am the king of Cork with 99% DNA from that region!
Boston trip was spectacular as we explain and Salem was like stepping in a time capsule.

I have put some over the video also on YouTube so if you are chilling at home make a nice cuppa and stick your feet up for you now have almost 2hours of content.

Fáilte a chairde 

This week I’m joined by the wife for a “puck around” on the Jersey Sure. We try to recall a story we learned recently and if you are listening and not watching 90% of the facts are incorrect but the story is on the right track. If you are watching on YouTube I tried my best to correct the mistakes with on screen graphics and information. 
The story though, is amazing and one that would , I imagine, clarified to young rebels hearing the story that the future was to keep pushing for United Ireland. It’s a story of hope and rescue. Of brotherhood and rebellion. 
Two Corkmen ripped from their homes and family only to be rescued on the other side of the world by  fellow fenian brothers.
1800s to today and we still speak about the same occupier of our beautiful little island of saints and scalars.
I think it’s high time we completely regain our full control of our land and in a nice peaceful manner.

I’ve bought a new selfie stick and I’m off out for a walk.
I’m walking and talking about my week here in jersey city. I talk about the fantastic event that took place in Dublin on Saturday called #irelandsfuture and my love for Mary Lou.
I speak about some couples counselling and how it is becoming easier but we’re never perfect.
I finished with some motivational words for anyone who has yet to forgive themselves for bad decisions they made in the past.
