Repeat Episode. Have been busy this week at the ASA QLD Invstor Summit on the Gold Coast. Saw Michael Kemp again and thought that this episode bore a repeat for all of the great investing insights.

What does an epic poem written around 700BC tell us about investing? How are investors tempted to steer their money onto the rocks of investing underperformance? My guest is Michael Kemp, author of The Ulysses Contract.

There's plenty of great lessons in this interview & much more in the book. There's a lot to avoid but as Michael says: "Don't be discouraged by all the negative arguments I'm putting forth. I don't believe you need to become a champion to become a really good investor. Market returns are fantastic returns as long as you achieve them. Don't try and shoot for the stars cuz you're probably full flat on your face. But if you accept that you're gonna be delivered market returns and you are patient, then market returns can be spectacular returns given the power of compounding."
