In 2005 Joseph Edward Duncan murdered Brenda Groene, Slade Groene and Mark Mckenzie in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He kidnapped Brenda’s younger children, Shasta and Dylan. 48 days later Shasta was rescued, and her brother Dylan was dead.
