This caused some backlash within the community as we see Super Evil Megacorp moving faster then maybe the community is ready for. As PAX East approaches we’re starting to get some teases for update 1.17 that should be released within the next few weeks, so get ready. We’re going back to the roots of the podcast here in episode ninety one, most of the 45 minute episode will just be me giving you a rundown of the Vainglory news and a review of the Nvidia Shield that I picked up about a month ago. Towards the end of the episode I have a short interview with Kraken where we talk about the new player experience that is a part of update 1.16.   It was a busy week with the release of two episodes and a special interview with GankStars & Nemesis for their Unity eSports April Fools pranks. Because of this I wasn’t sure when I’d get a chance to record this episode and that’s why there isn’t anyone going over everything that has been happening in and around the Halcyon Fold. Winter is no longer coming… As March comes to a close so does the Vainglory Winter season. With it comes the release of update 1.16 and the start of the Spring season. Update 1.16 is a massive update with a ton of balance changes for all your favorite Vainglory heroes. With this update we’re getting the Spring seasonal map, a new hero, a new game mode and three skins for our favorite wolf, Pickles. Joining me for this rundown of update 1.16 is SIX1SE7EN member of The Fold Guild. First the two of us chat about the new game mode Battle Royale and how it’s where people will be spending a lot of their time over the next few months. Then we rundown all the balance changes on the different heroes and try to decide who might be coming out on top this update. The EU Winter Championships just wrapped up and a big congrats to all the teams that played! If you haven’t watched be sure you do because it’s going to be spoiled here on the podcast. Every weekend it seems like there is a new Vainglory tournament happening. Coming off the heels of the North American Winter Championships is the EU Winter Championships in London. I don’t know the players as well as I do the North American players but I love watching the games and seeing how the meta changes from region to region.
