  • Shatter The Vain 85: Nemesis Hydra
This is episode number eighty five of the Vainglory podcast, Shatter The Vain. I’m Brad Chmielewski and this is a podcast all about the MOBA Vainglory created by Super Evil Megacorp. I know update 1.15 just dropped a few days ago and I’m sure everyone is eager to hear me and my guest’s thoughts on it and how we’ve been playing. The 1.15 hype is going to have to wait for another episode because the Winter Championships are just around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited! Building on that excitement for the Winter Championships happening at the Red Bull eSports Studio, I have Nemesis Hydra joining me. Hardek, LostBoyToph and Chicken123 all took some time away from getting prepared for the event to join me to talk about the start of Nemesis, the Autumn Finals, VGL and streaming. These are some of the top players in Vainglory and you can learn a lot just from hearing them talk about the game and watching them play. Plays are often calculated and planned out but there is still a little bit of luck that happens to come into play as well.
Let me know if you’re going to be at the Winter Championships. I’ll be there recording, taking photos and handing out Shatter The Vain stickers. If you’re looking for more ways to support the show, besides just listening then check out Shatter The Vain on Patreon. I’d love the opportunity to do more episodes like this in the future along with the usual episodes you’ve come to love. • Shatter The Vain 84: Winter Shadows
This is episode number eighty four of the Vainglory podcast, Shatter The Vain. I’m Brad Chmielewski and this is a podcast all about the MOBA Vainglory created by Super Evil Megacorp. It’s been a month since Super Evil Megacorp released update 1.14 for the Lunar New Year. They are kicking off March with update 1.15 and with it a ton of balance changes for all your favorite Vainglory heroes. With this update we’re getting the Winter map skin back which will be a nice treat as the Winter Season is coming to a close. Joining me for this rundown of update 1.15 is GankStars member BFDM_MEXI. First the two of us gush all over the new skins that we’ll likely be spending money on this week. Then we rundown all the balance changes on the different heroes and try to decide who might be coming out on top this update. Our first guess is that Krul is going to be a monster in 1.15, so get ready for this un-dead nightmare to be carrying your team. Like with any patch, it’s going to take awhile to get used to some of these changes. If there is anything that we missed, I’ll report back on a future episode. • Shatter The Vain 83: Stormlord
This is episode number eighty three of the Vainglory podcast, Shatter The Vain. I’m Brad Chmielewski and this is a podcast all about the MOBA Vainglory created by Super Evil Megacorp. I hope everyone has been having some good games on the Halcyon Fold and has been watching the fantastic VGL matches that finally wrapped up this weekend. I’ll skip the spoilers on this episode. Now that VGL is wrapped up and we’re just weeks away from the Winter Championships at the Red Bull eSports Studio, I’m getting excited for update 1.15. It should be getting released any day now. Joining me on this episode is Nerds4Revenge to talk about new skins and our thoughts on the direction that Super Evil Megacorp is headed with Vainglory. If you’re not watching Nerds4Revenge on Twitch you should check it out. He has an amazing stream and is always worth hanging out for an hour or two. This is episode number eighty two of the Vainglory podcast, Shatter The Vain. I’m Brad Chmielewski and this is a podcast all about the mobile game Vainglory created by Super Evil Megacorp. This week I’m back to a normal format podcast after that flood of amazing interviews with Vertigo, GankStars, Team Secret, Roam & MYQ. Thank you for all the feedback and thoughts on those shows and keep them coming. On episode eighty two I have fhoenyx from The Main Vain Podcast joining me. The Main Vain Podcast started just a few weeks ago and is already creating some great content for the Vainglory community. • Shatter The Vain 81: All Roads Lead To The Vain
This is episode number eighty one of the Vainglory podcast, Shatter The Vain. I’m Brad Chmielewski and this is a podcast all about the MOBA Vainglory created by Super Evil Megacorp. It’s an EU focused week here on Shatter The Vain! Monday I released an interview with KValafar and Mowglie from the Team Secret’s Vainglory team. If you missed it, go check it out because it’s a great story to hear. Continuing that trend I have MYQ joining me on episode 81 for an interview. It’s really interesting to hear these stories from these players that have been able to turn a long time dream into a reality with Vainglory. Over the last few weeks there has been a ton of news happening in Vainglory and the recent string of interviews and spotlights have kept us from chatting about this. So, for this episode I’m going back to the roots of the show and doing it solo. On episode 81 I’m chatting about VGL, the OP Crystal Fortress and the need for Atlas Pauldron. Let me know if you’ve been liking these interviews and if you have any suggestions for future spotlights. • Shatter The Vain 80: Keeping Secrets
This is episode number eighty of the Vainglory podcast, Shatter The Vain. I’m Brad Chmielewski and this is a podcast all about the touch MOBA Vainglory created by Super Evil Megacorp. If you liked episode 78 with GankStars then I have a feeling you’ll also enjoy hearing this story. Let me know what you think and if you’re digging this style of podcast, let me know. We should be back on to more of the news, meta breakdown and forum static here later this month. On this episode of Shatter The Vain I have KValafar and Mowglie from the Team Secret’s Vainglory team joining me. Earlier this year Team Secret acquired Media Pixel, the team that won the Autumn Vainglory Live Championships. Team Secret also played nearly flawlessly during the first winter qualifiers and has their sights set on the Winter Live Championships. The three of us chat all about their rise as professional gamers. They tell me how they almost didn’t even make it to the Autumn Live Championships and if that would have happened they may have all had to put their dreams behind them. Lucky enough it’s almost been a perfect storm for these guys over the last few months. I’m excited to see what Team Secret does moving forward and how they will cement themselves as an even stronger force in the Vainglory competitive scene. • Shatter The Vain 79: The Analyst Desk
This is episode number seventy nine of the Vainglory podcast, Shatter The Vain. I’m Brad Chmielewski and this is a podcast all about the touch MOBA Vainglory created by Super Evil Megacorp. On this episode I have Roam joining me. Roam recently joined Super Evil Megacorp as an analyst for the eSports events. We all got a firsthand look at Roam’s great insights into the game during the Autumn Live Finals where him, PlayoffBeard and Hafu held down the analyst desk in Santa Ana. Roam wasn’t just plopped down into this spotlight. He’s known as a great player who also has had some great feedback to share with the players and the Super Evil Megacorp team. Roam shares his story about randomly stumbling onto this game in the App Store to now working with the company. The two of us also go over the recent jungle changes we’ve seen in update 1.14 and maybe some strategies on how not to die to the jungle monsters. To wrap things up we get hyped for the VGL 2nd Winter Qualifier that will be kicking off this weekend. • Shatter The Vain 78: The Rise Of GankStars
This is episode number seventy eight of the Vainglory podcast, Shatter The Vain. I’m Brad Chmielewski and this is a podcast all about the touch MOBA Vainglory created by Super Evil Megacorp It’s back to back episodes this week! Like episode 77 with Vertigo, this is a little bit of a departure from the usual episodes of Shatter The Vain. Let me know what you think and if you’re digging this style of podcast. On this episode I bring on the three co-leaders of GankStars; PwntByUkrainian, FooJee & IraqiZorro. IraqiZorro has been a requested guest for the podcast for some time and I’m finally able to make that happen. The story of GankStars is pretty massive and we do our best to hit on many of the highlights especially focusing on the competitive teams Sirius and Vega. We chat about going to Korea to play Vainglory, winning the first VIPL and the good and bad of second VIPL where GankStars Sirius took home third place. With CullTheMeek leaving, it means changes for GankStars competitive teams and I’m sure everyone has questions about how strong the new Vega will be moving forward. We don’t really dive into GankStars Galaxy much, we’ll have to save that for another episode later this year. No matter what, you certainly can’t argue that the members of GankStars don’t care about this game. Each and every one of them, including myself are trying to make the game stronger and promote it any way they can. I’m excited to see what GankStars does moving forward and how they will cement themselves as an even stronger force in the Vainglory community. • Shatter The Vain 77: Meet Vertigo eSports
This is episode number seventy seven of the Vainglory podcast, Shatter The Vain. I’m Brad Chmielewski and this is a podcast all about the touch MOBA Vainglory created by Super Evil Megacorp Coming up in the next few episodes I’m doing something a little different. Instead of just diving into the news, forums static and crazy game stories we’re going to dive deep into some of the teams, guilds and players. Think of this almost like a Vainglory Voices. Let me know what you think and if you’re digging this style of podcast. On this episode I have Josh, ChalupaBatmanGG and Crowley from Vertigo joining me to talk about the changes coming to Vertigo. Before diving into Vertigo eSports & Vertigo Studios we chat about what got these guys into Vertigo and what has kept Vertigo going over the last year. I also ask about the recent departure of Dragonborne from the guild and how that effected the community. With the launch of Vertigo Studios it seems like Vertigo is taking an active part in not only making their guild stronger but also promoting Vainglory as well. All that and more on episode 77 of Shatter The Vain! If you’re looking for more ways to support the show, besides just listening then check out Shatter The Vain on Patreon. This is a new style of show for the podcast and I’d love the opportunity to do more episodes like this in the future along with the usual episodes you’ve come to love.
