On June 22nd, Super Evil Megacorp released Vainglory update 1.19 and with it comes a new hero, new items, summer rewards, and a handful of balance changes. When you add new items to a game it really changes how the overall game gets played. This is only the second time since I’ve been playing that we’ve seen new items added and I couldn’t be more excited.  Joining me on this episode is Chief Matt, a YouTuber, a streamer and fellow member of GankStars. Matt has had the opportunity to play a number of games with the new hero Lyra and has a few things to share about what he’s seen so far. And right now the early rumblings on twitter is that she might be a little over powered.  This is a pretty great update for the fans of the game, especially new players that are looking for more rewards to get heroes and skins. I’ll have to see how things shake up but like with any patch for Vainglory, it’s going to take awhile to get used to the changes. This past week Super Evil Megacorp released the final update  of the Spring Season. Update 1.18 comes with 5 new hero skins, and a new roam hero hitting the Halcyon Fold. I’ve been talking about Lance for a few updates and it’s great to finally see him getting released. I’ve been able to play him a few times and already have a video on the YouTube page if you want to check out some gameplay. Joining me for this rundown of update 1.18 is SixesNSevens. We are now into the second update of the Spring Season. We’re also about to kick off the second qualifiers for VGL. At this moment it’s an exciting time for the game and update 1.17 seems to be setting the stage for some very big changes that will be coming down the pipeline. This update isn’t lacking in content or changes either. With this update we’re getting a new game mode and three skins for Phinn and a limited edition Rona skin that is basically free to anyone who plays enough games this month. Joining me for this rundown of update 1.17 is Boixoss Nois, the lead designer for Team Phoenix. Boixoss Nois has been playing this game since the initial North American launch and has an inside look at what’s happening during the VIS with the heroes being played. So he has some great things to share about some of the balance changes we’re seeing in this update from Super Evil Megacorp.
