  • 34: What's In it for me?

Katrina came out to listen to her episodes he wanted to share and got inspired to re-record a new episode in light of some new information. She moves you to ask yourself, what is in this this for me? What is here for me to learn and to grow? Katrina sheds light on limiting beliefs and how the reason we may not be doing something, isn’t because of time or neccessarily discipline, but the belief we hold about ourselves.

  • 33: Doing the Inner Work

If you don’t start doing that thing during this time, it’s not a time problem. It’s a discipline problem. A quote Katrina heard from the Earn Your Happy Podcast with Lori Harder. Katrina dives into the importance of being willing to do the inner work. While it is really a discipline problem, we ge to look at why is the discipline a problem? What are the stories that are holding us back? What are the things we are not doing that we say we want to do and are not? We can identify why by willing to go inward and ask ourselves why, digging down to get to the root cause. When we get to the root, we can find where the healing and transformation needs to take place.

  • 32: Helping Sleeping Babies with Dr. Sarah Mitchell

Katrina and Dr. Sarah talk about how we think getting your baby to sleep and parenting should be a natural instinctual experience. However it’s not usually that easy and this challenge leaves many parents feeling confused and defeated due to the the preconceived notion that they should “naturally” know what to do to help their child. They talk about the transition into who we are before our first child is here and who we become. The transition is not anything we can ever prepare for. Dr. Sarah Mitchell shares some of her tips about identifying our kids sleep patterns and the importance of knowing every child is different. They touch on how we can adapt during this time of the Coronavirus and quarantine.

Dr. Sarah Mitchell is a chiropractor by training but she found her true calling empowering parents to teach their little ones to sleep when her first child just would not sleep.  With 8 years of health education training, Sarah was shocked that she didn’t know how to get her son to sleep in an easy and sustainable manner. So she did her research and ended up finding her passion as a sleep consultant. Since 2013 Dr. Sarah has coached hundreds of parents in their first parenting challenge, getting their little ones to sleep.  Located in Silicon Valley, Sarah’s private coaching clientele varies from high profile corporate leaders to overwhelmed stay at home Moms. The common denominator, sleep challenges. In 2020, she launched Helping Babies Sleep School, an online membership program to guide parents from birth to age 4 years old with sleep education and group coaching. She feels her origins in Attachment Parenting, medical background and parenting challenges with a son with ADHD have given her a wide range of tools to help struggling parents.

  • 30: Live to Thrive with Becca Duskin

Katrina sits down with a friend to talk about her journey over the past couple of years. They touch on Becca’s newer business and love for helping women with their body image through natural healing. After being married for 23 years, Becca found herself divorced and having to go through some transitions - faith, coparenting, online dating after being “out of the game” for so long, going from stay at home mom to finding her own passion. They touch on perfectionism and how important it is to allow ourselves to feel the feelings, we don’t always have to appear strong. This conversation is fun, entertaining and just like 2 friends sitting down to catch up over a cup of coffee.

Becca is registered nurse and a certified health coach.  It is through being a

nurse, since 2002, and seeing the rapidly declining health of people, as a result of the rise in

lifestyle preventable diseases, that she became interested in changing the face of healthcare through health coaching! Growing up with serious body image and self-confidence issues, which led to a deeply personal relationship with disordered eating and body dysmorphia.

She tried (as most women do) EVERY diet out there to lose weight so that I would look better and feel like she  was valuable. While on vacation in Cancun, Becca was blessed to meet a Health Coach. She invested in his program and it changed her life! Through one on one coaching and group sessionsBeccaI was able to lose weight and look in the mirror and not see a hugely distorted image. Becca’s weight still ebbs and flows, but she no longer attaches her self-worth to a number on the scale or what she puts in her mouth. She looks at her body with awe at what it has done and what it can do. She knows what to eat and how to move to give her energy and feelher best every day! Becca’s greatest and most rewarding journey is that of a mother to daughters. Becca says she is blessed to be able to be a role model and raise 2 beautiful girls to be strong, healthy, confident and compassionate women in this world who live their best lives every day and thrive!
