[11:12] When it comes to succeeding in the professional world, you need to be grounded in what you do and be able to share that passion with others. This is especially true for women, who often face unique challenges as they navigate their careers. By staying grounded in their goals and beliefs, and embracing the support of others along the way, women can thrive professionally and personally. So if you're looking to achieve your dreams, remember to stay true to yourself and always keep reaching for new heights!

[13:05] I don't care how many emails you're sending; I don't care what your website looks like. You have put this dream into action. Unfortunately, it is stressful because we need that clarity that connects those everyday financial choices with the longer-term things we want, either personally or with our business.

[22:04] That is the importance of doing either our self-work, working with a coach, or working in a mastermind to allow someone else to see our money and our thoughts from an objective point of view. I think that's probably the most significant gift for me regarding investing in coaches or programs; our mastermind is what other people see, which is a more substantial piece of the puzzle.

  • She Needs Grit Take Over with She Space’s Stephanie Tsuru : My Journey to Grit and to other continents..

Sign up to be one of our guests : https://bit.ly/SheNeedsGritGuest

"Sam brings multiple continents' knowledge to the table. Now, so yes, by trial and tribulation, you have ended up a profit coach." - Stephanie

Last week, I spoke with She Space owner Stephanie Tsuru. In this episode, the tables have turned. For the first time since the launch of my podcast, I am offering you a front-seat view of my ups and downs and my journey as a profit coach, the ups and downs of She Collective Biz, and how my podcast show came about.

A fun fact about me is that I never started in field sales while forming my professional career. I finished marketing communications and began my journey in PR. Shit happened, and now I am here loving what I do, serving my purpose, and educating women to help with their business as their profit coach. But getting from point A to point B was not a smooth one. The funny thing is that I moved from different time zones, from Canada to Australia, and now here in Texas to join my partner and create my career alongside a family. Indeed it was a journey. My goal has always been that I want more women to understand and have faith in their ability to create success and wealth in their lives. So as part of it, here's an episode that will offer you advice and give you a glimpse into my journey.

"When I first met Samantha and heard about the podcast's name, I got to meet this woman because she is GRIT, and that's my favorite word. She has that." - Stephanie

    About Stephanie Tsuru :

Stephanie Tsuru is the founder of SheSpace, a work, meeting and programming space built by women for women. She is also a devoted wife, mother, doting grandmother to three spunky granddaughters and a friend and mentor to many. When not at SheSpace, she spends her time on local philanthropic efforts, specifically the boards of the Houston Ballet and the Hermann Park Conservancy along with other Houston cultural icons. Her passion for reading and learning is seen in her focus on adult and childhood literacy efforts.

Stephanie has lived in many cities and states, but Houston is her favorite. She will continue to travel and adventure but Houston will always be her home.

    Must-listen Moments:

[07:31] In the beginning, almost everybody who appeared on my doorstep or online was a business owner. It became apparent that a business owner can make more money instead of having to; I mean, you still have to be aware of your finances, and I can teach you how to make more money in your business, which will impact that bottom line at home. So that's where I pivoted into profit coaching for business owners instead of money coaching for individuals.

[13:45] Why are you struggling so hard to actually follow through on the actions you know you need to do? Um, there is an impression sometimes, and this is more so on, I think, online businesses versus say a bricks and mortar, but there isn't. Under estimation of the investment required. So even if you're an online business, you need to still invest in the development of that business

[23:00] No matter where you're sitting or living, if you don't have a group of women supporting you in your business journey, you need to either find it or make it right because we do this better. We do this better as a collection, so I strongly recommend so strongly to find your people and lean on them and be vulnerable, and be open with the things that work well and the things that are going terribly so that you can get help and people can support you in the way that you need.

Sign up to be one of our guests : https://bit.ly/SheNeedsGritGuest

    Cheers to the incredible year!

I woke up a little under the weather at the recording time, but there’s no way it will stop me from talking to you guys about my show’s birthday. Today, grab a drink or coffee, and I would be grateful if you could celebrate my show’s anniversary with me.

Woooo! What a journey it has been. From being a solo voice in the show to inviting other voices of business owners rocking their profession. The journey isn’t easy, and I know you, too; as a business owner, it’s not a walk in the park in creating impact. That’s why I want you to celebrate with me and talk to you to offer yourself an excellent reward for a great run so far. I need you to be proud of yourself!

In this celebratory episode, I want to encourage you to claim all your wins, big or small, that you had at this point in your business. Business people often than not celebrate small victories, but this is your sign to celebrate it. Look back and pat yourself back. List out, and write everything about what you have accomplished this year. Put it all together! Acknowledged it.

Send me a message on whatever platform, review and put it in there. What are you proud of this year? During my show’s birthday, let’s celebrate that together.

    Must-listen Moments:

[02:31] I want to encourage all of you to celebrate the wins and achievements you've made up until this point this year. In your business, we don't do this enough. We do not reflect on all of the accomplishments we've made, all of the things we've overcome, all of the new things we've implemented, and whether they've worked or failed. So this is the time!

[13:35] I go back, and I look at all of the accomplishments that my clients have done over the year and I am blown away by the impact they have had on their businesses and lives. Like them, take a pause and reflect on it.

[05:59] My birthday wishes this year for the She Needs Grit podcast is that all of you will take the time to leave me a review and celebrate your wins and accomplishments.

  • SheSpace : A Space for Network and Growth with Stephanie Tsuru

Sign up to be one of our guests : https://bit.ly/SheNeedsGritGuest

Regardless of your career, SheSpace has a table for you! True to her passion and calling, Stephanie Tsuru opens a space for women to collaborate, connect and build their dreams.

In this episode, I invite one of the women I look up to and share with you guys her purpose – creating a space for women to grow. As she described, the space is a space for all women looking for a particular spot that will help them laser-eyed focus on their careers. There are offices, meeting rooms, conference rooms, and co-working areas, but the main point of this spot is that it's a place for women to meet their needs.

Stephanie opened SheSpace to address a gap within the community; she said that "...in Houston, Texas, there are dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens of women's organizations, women's groups, but they tend to concentrate and focus on their industry. So it could be women in construction, or women in architecture, women in business, women in accounting." Everyone is welcome, and as she described, "[it's] an industry agnostic."

So if you want to change your scenery and look for other women looking for a spot that will help you and empower you, when you are around Houston, Texas, visit SheSpace, and let's meet and connect!

    About She Space:

SheSpace is a work and meeting place where bold women gather to find community, amplify ambition, and propel their dreams forward. Our mission is to create clear pathways for women to accomplish personal and professional goals through the convenience of a female-dedicated space.

Stephanie has lived in many cities and states, but Houston is her favorite. She will continue to travel and adventure but Houston will always be her home.

    Must-listen Moments:

[01:47] It is critical to create a network of people who know who you are, see what you do, and know who you can help and become ambassadors essentially for you in the world, but that’s just one of the many benefits of this space.

[09:45] I can say that I am the chief connector or the cheerleader for everyone who comes here. I love motivating women. She may not get from A to Z, but I can see her going from A to C to E. Having the privilege of speaking a couple of times and getting an opportunity to educate the women in here with the knowledge that I have and being able to, like, pour that into them and give them my hope, um, faith in the fact that they can grow and scale their business the way they want to

[12:35] The idea that women are banding together, exchanging ideas, building businesses, and focusing on things will help you finish your work and achieve your goals. You are in a place where you resonate with most people around here, and isn’t it that fun?

  • Build profit with visibility

Sign up to be one of our guests : https://bit.ly/SheNeedsGritGuest

What are you currently doing in your business to get more visible?

Visibility generally in your business is vital. And when I speak about visibility, I mean that rather than focusing on your audience's demographic, you need to look deeper and be aware of who you are, what you do, and the problems you can address for them.

Explore other channels that can be visible and help your brand to be at the front, such as podcasting. I joined Dana Spano again, and we discussed marketing strategies that helped our brands. She made interesting points about her being an introvert and how podcasting kept her marketing moving.

We're going to talk about podcasting and the value behind podcasting as a strategy. I will also give you backstage access to hear why I came up with a podcast show to help She Collective, which I think can create that relationship and that rapport with my audience and build trust and legitimacy in what I am talking about.

I'm here to help if you're contemplating podcasting, ads, or webinars.

    About Dana Spano :

Dana Spano is on a mission to revolutionize the world of Brand Identity Strategy for Soloists and Small Businesses.

Initially, she was on the path to uncovering human psychology's mysteries, but fate led her to a more purposeful role, branding. Her love for Human Psychology and Graphic Design met and led her to the world of corporate Brand Identity Strategy. She has served 10 years as a Lead Strategist or contracted Creative Director for companies in the Education, Women's Health, and Eyewear spaces.

‍With all those experiences, she is now managing her own branding business, Day Studios, which is designed to develop your business into a brand that people recognize, trust, interact with, respect, and revere.

    Must-listen Moments:

[01:47] visibility generally in your business is absolutely critical. When I talk about visibility, you need more people in your audience to know who you are, what you do, and what you can help them solve than who you're talking to.

[03:46] Why podcasting? As an introvert, that concept of me speaking words out into the world, engaging with people audibly. All of that resonated with me.

[09:32] There's a psychology of listening to someone's voice, hearing them, and what they're messaging is different than just reading text.

Go out and engage with your audience. You’re capable and you’ve got this.

For those who needed a little extra push, listen up! Today, I will speak about the obvious: You are one step away from signing more clients and making more money from expanding your business. You are one step away from that. However, your mind and other things are keeping you restrained from growing. Let go of that! You can move and jump to the next part of your success and growth.

Are you doing everything in your power to grow? Do you believe you're capable of the growth you want to achieve? Like not just saying it, but sincerely, profoundly thinking it. Are you writing your goal down every day, looking at it, dreaming of that goal, and envisioning what it will look like when you hit it?

Remember that you are just as capable as the person you admire, the person you see on social media or in the real world who appears to have accomplished exactly what you want. I encourage you to be an inspiration so that those around you believe what you're selling is possible and that it is the exact solution to their problem.

    Must-listen Moments:

[02:55] One of the things that is holding you back is you’re creating a delay and it’s making you question your ability to be the badass business owner that you are.

[03:20] Are you writing your goal down every single day, looking at that goal, dreaming of that goal, envisioning what it's gonna look like when you hit it.

[5:44] You need to go out, you need to engage with your audience. You need to create opportunities.

Additionally, she explains the fundamentals of creating a personal brand that will help you access business prospects. Come along; this will be a helpful episode if you're eager to discover your genuine brand identity to aid in your better understanding of your company.

Whether you're a solopreneur or running a company, if you want to attract more clients and grow your business, this episode is for you!

    Must-listen Moments:

[08:55] The buzzword of the century is 'authenticity.' How do we bring more authenticity into our business? Because not too long ago, corporations realized that people aren't buying into ideals and aspirations as much as they are authentic.

[14:28] When it comes to branding, one of the most important things you can do is bring your personality into it. This clarifies your purpose even further and shows what works for you on an intense level. Your branding will be much more successful if you're true to yourself.

[33:44] YI think branding around your humanity is a little bit more realistic. Branding is such a psychological game, and the aesthetics and your identity should resonate with people's psyches to help your business.

  • 7 Badass Ways to Grow your Business Profit

Sign up to be one of our guests : https://bit.ly/SheNeedsGritGuest

Are you charging your worth? In this episode, there are points that I want you to point out in your business that might be the roadblocks to your success.

First, the most critical question you can ask yourself is: If your prices are not in line with what they should be, it will be challenging to come up with any other income sources for your business. You have a lot of self-worth. So don't settle for anything less than what you deserve. I also spoke about the importance of visibility. To be successful, your customers must see who they're buying from. Be visible! Put up pictures of all the awesome things you offer on your social media pages, or show off how friendly you are in person- people love feeling valued no matter where their purchases come from. Then finally, show up your intentions because your audience wants to hear your purpose and not just sell to them.

The only way to grow is by taking risks. You can't be afraid of new beginnings and moving forward into the unknown because that's where opportunities lie!

I excel at helping people make more profit in their business right now. If you need support in growing your business, let me be your guide, and I will help you achieve your goals.

    Must-listen Moments:

[03:27] How do you determine a reasonable profit margin for a particular product or service? I want you to think about these things I want you to consider. Are you charging your worth? Are you, if you break down the hours that you work for a client on a particular project, how much money are you making?

[10:59] I want you to consider taking a straightforward look at your calendar and say to yourself, how much time am I spending out in the world trying to make sales and how many minutes of my day or hours of my day am I doing behind the computer in a very protective stance?

[13:44] You need to invest in the growth of your business. You need to actively grow your mind beyond where it currently is. You need to pursue it vigorously.

    Must-listen Moments:

[02:25] Have you noticed how far you've come in your journey to get to the person you want to be? We have to pay attention, and we have to pay attention to the evidence piling up of what we're capable of, what we're able to do, and what we are actually doing.

[05:46] I am committed to doing whatever it takes to build my business. And I know as the audience that surrounds me, you guys are the same. And some days, it's easy to find that energy. It's easy to be lit up, inspired, and motivated to do that in your business. And some days. It is hard as hell, and it is hard.

[09:21] The difference between staying where you are and feeling stuck and crappy about it and getting beyond this little stumble to achieve what you want is finding the right people or someone to bridge that gap. Will you stay stuck, or will you take action on that phase? That's what you need to do. You need to find the person that is going to inspire you.
