  • Ditch the Overwhelm

That feeling of having a lot of things going on into your brain but there's not a lot of action. It mentally exhausts you but then there’s no output? If you have been here, I have steps to overcome this!

Overwhelm is a familiar feeling when faced with a long list of things to do, and it can be paralyzing and make us feel like we will never get through everything. However, there are some things that we can do to break down the overwhelm and take action.

In this episode, I’ll give you three tips and strategies to help you overcome that overwhelm, from creating a journaling habit to breathing exercises and getting clarity of the things you need to address immediately. These steps will help you prioritize the items on your to-do list that can give you a clear idea of what is most important so you can start to take action intentionally. These will also help you break down each task into smaller, more manageable steps because when we break things down, they no longer seem as daunting, and we are more likely to take action. Finally, this will give you time to relax and recharge and help you throw that baggage that will help you move lightly and smoothly in your business.

Overwhelming can be a challenging feeling to manage, but by taking some simple steps, we can overcome it and get started on our to-do list. Let me help you clear out the garbage, get clarity in your business and allow you to move forward for the next half of the year.

    Must-listen Moments:

[05:33] The first way is to journal, journal your thoughts. And when I say that, I mean, dump all of the crap in your head on a piece of paper and keep writing until you stop.

[09:04 ] I find one of the best ways to do this is box breathing. Box breathing works is that you are going to inhale for four counts. Hold it for two counts, exhale for four counts. Hold it for two, inhale for four counts.

[11:02] Determine what your next move or activities should be. Find someone to assist you in evaluating your situation and determining the measures to take.

  • Profit Making Questions To Guide You

    Profit Making Questions

    https://inkandvolt.s3.amazonaws.com/downloads/2021-planning/inkandvolt-2021-yearly-planning-midyear.pdf

Every year, we begin with a vision and goals, but now that we're halfway through 2022, I'd like you to take a look back and assess your success. Examine the peaks and valleys, the wins and losses. Believe me when I say that you will celebrate and learn just how to create greater results for the rest of the year.

In this episode, I invite you to participate in a simple exercise I use with my clients by reevaluating your life and business situation. To help you get started, I've included a link above. Reflect backward and evaluate what worked and didn't work in your business, where you need to see changes and acknowledge the wins you've accomplished over the last timeframe.

Remember that this exercise will help you become more mindful of your situation, broaden your mind, and identify the best approach. Deep dive into questions such as: Which of these accomplishments are you most proud of? Is it because it was difficult? What do you need to change? What should you be concentrating on? What must you leave behind, among other things.

I promise you the value of doing this evaluation, and you will be amazed by the results just by taking a deeper look at that.

    Must-listen Moments:

[03:50] So you now have had six months of the year, and you started with a bang, and things are going fantastic, and it is time to reflect and make sure that the actions you're taking are the goals you'd set out.

[07:20 ] Which one of these accomplishments that you've come up with are you most proud of? Why? Is it because it was hard? It was so challenging to accomplish that. Is it because you didn't think it was even possible? What does it look like for you? I want you to dig into this. Where did you find it? What are the failures that you've seen this year?

[08:02] What habits will support you or overcome those challenges, those life circumstances? What do things need to be on the road for you? Remember that there is something in your business that you know happens when it happens.

  • Here's how you can easily scale up your business

Delegation will help you scale, and you probably need to do this sooner rather than later. My goal for you is to scale up your business and make more profit with at least equal if not less time. I want you to avoid scenarios that will let you work late nights or early mornings at your desk trying to do the admin stuff when you need to meet clients face to face. Don't leave behind the lead generation part of your business; it makes you disconnected from other people, and you will not have progress in your business.

You have to reevaluate your system, and the only answer to those things is delegation. You need to find the RIGHT people to help you. How to start? Ask the people you know, your centers of influence, the people around you, who they know, who they know is fantastic, and get in touch with those people. Maybe they'd be a great fit. Perhaps they know other people in their industry who are looking for work.

I encourage you to hire or outsource before you become desperate in your business. If you want to scale up your business, you need to have all the pieces of tracking, evaluating, and hiring good people. I know it sounds like another work, but it takes your time in the hiring process to walk away with amazing people that you're comfortable with and who can help you get your job done.

    Must-listen Moments:

[03:50] The number one thing I think is the way to start this is I want you to take the time to list everything that gets done in your business. I want you to circle the things that only you can do. You are the only person that you wish to do that

[08:20 ] I want to talk about how you go about finding these people today. Hence, you realize upon reflection that there is a lot of stuff you could clear off your plate and allow you to do more of what you love, which will enable you to be in front of more eyeballs and make more money in your business.

[10:23] There is some investment made in training people and the time it takes to do so. It is rare that if you hire employees, they will come in and be able to do things at the pace you're anticipating immediately.

  • 5 Steps to Follow Up Like a boss

You meet many people at events, you talk about your business, and they will be engaged in that conversation, and now you go home and think about the next steps you should take.

The simple way to move forward from it is to record the names and businesses. Go back to the calling cards; those handful pieces of papers you have collected are your keys to your next sale and deals, trust me! Once you have recorded them, time to reconnect and rekindle the flame you've had from the event. Remember the conversation and, again, the purpose of your reconnecting with them.

Whenever I meet people, I start sending them either a text message or an email, saying, "Hey, it was great seeing you at the event;" "Hey, it was great to meet with you. I loved your business or ideas;" That connection piece that you've managed to establish signifies that your foot is already in the door.

The key is to strike while the iron is hot! Especially when you get your network from significant events, they have met many people. I think 72 hours is already long; that's fine if you can do it within 48 hours. By doing this, you can go from a little bit of profit to quite a bit of profit without a lot of effort. REMEMBER: Consistency is the key to following up.

    Must-listen Moments:

[06:36] This is the strategic taking of business cards of the people I've engaged with. I've had a conversation with them and have at least given some awareness of who I am and when I plan to reach out to them.

[08:23] My rule is that I follow up with people that I just met by either sending them a text message or an email. The body of the message will always have a warm tone, and I always find common ground between us.

[10:32 ]Remember that your offer is always coming from a place of service, not a place of expectation. If you go into these relationships expecting that somebody will be a client, send you referrals, and do something for you to benefit you, you're coming at it all wrong.

  • Manage your Mind for more Profit

Watch the complete episode here : https://youtu.be/EvOzmoKNckI

The gateway to earning more is to clear your head first. Listen to this episode to know why!

I admit it took me a long time to get to the point where I thought mindset was anything more than like woo woo, something I didn't get, something I didn't understand too, something I absolutely believe is critical for myself and my clients' success. I can see the transitions they're making. I can see the successes they're having. And it is always related to what they are thinking and less related to what they are doing.

I want to encourage you to start thinking about your mindset in a more profound way, your headspace, how you feel about your business, your ability to provide the service that you're offering, and the fact that you are a badass business owner. You are the best person to solve your client's potential problems.

I believe that when you are freeing up enough headspace, you make more money because something is energetically gravitational to us. If we feel great about what we're doing and fantastic about that solution, we have to provide and be great about the success you will have by using my product or my service, then you will feel so good about signing new clients, and they will feel so good about signing on with you.

    Must-listen Moments:

[03:05] The last letter in the CRUSH formula is – It's the headspace, right? It's the word that I actually use for mindset.

[15:15] Just like a brain dump, what do you think about selling? What do you think about salespeople? Is it hard to make sales if you think that you're a salesperson? And those are your thoughts

[17:53 ] I want you to write down 25 ways you offer value to your clients. What do they gain? What have they gained? What do you know you can achieve with them? What is the change that you will create with your business?

  • Intentional Networking
To grow your business, you need to talk to more people. Go, girl! The bigger the circle, the better.

Whether you call it a mastermind or just a mentoring group, being in a room with other people, building their business, struggling, succeeding, winning, failing, and sharing will grow you exponentially forward.

I admit I am a fan of going out there and talking to people. As a coach, it's a skill that I should hone, but if we dive deep, networking is more than just handshakes and high-fives. I know we have our old idea of what it is, but I am happy to tell you that it has evolved, and now the spaces and events are done creatively and interestingly. I am part of four networking groups. Two of them are online, one is online and in person, and then the fourth is in-person networking, primarily with a tiny piece. I think that this is critical for you to understand how networking is a way to grow your business, meet new people, and get yourself out of your comfort zone.

Everyone can agree that you need to talk to more people to grow your business. And the biggest problem that I hear entrepreneurs have is that I don't have any new ones; How do I find new people to engage with, sell, and share my offers with?

The answer is simply networking, and in this episode, I'm going to talk to you about the different ways you can network.

    Must-listen Moments:

[02:28] When finding the right place to network, I try to find somewhere that would allow me to rub elbows with my ideal clients or people who know my ideal clients regularly.

[07:11] When in the room, let them feel you're owning what you say. For example, in this one group, I am the in-person host of that event, which allows me to connect with the participants and puts me in a position of authority. So when you walk into a room and see somebody put your game face on and have that feeling of control.

[12:02 ] Please go into that networking meeting with two goals: Get in the door, and make sure that you have one quality conversation with them.

  • Avoid May Slump
It’s almost half of the year and I want you to start thinking about what you need to do– calibrate, reset to achieve your goals for 2022. Could you spare a few memories? I was wondering if you might take a look at how near you are to meeting your business goals this year. Are we going to hit it or miss it if you remain on your current course for the rest of the year?

The road isn't linear, and it isn't easy; that requires planning. Few people in business consistently make the same number of sales month after month, year after year but for sure the majority of us will see a significant increase in the second half of the year. Especially in the third quarter of the year, this is due to several factors.

It's indeed a long game, don't forget that I believe in your ability to manage a business; and to my client's ability to create the results they're looking for. And I know that if they are brave enough to step forward, put their hand out and ask for help from me, between the two of us, we can deliver the results that we are looking for. But you’ll get there and that’s why we need to make use of this time to reorganize our thoughts.

And I need you to spend the next week working on your belief about what you're capable of, generating what you've been doing in your business. Also, while recalibrating and reorganizing your game plan, find out the wins, and celebrate them. Reward yourself! Celebrate it and bask in the moment. Trust me; it will help you get more pumped up in finishing this simple exercise.

    Must-listen Moments:

[03:05] Review your performances in the first and second quarters of the year. If you kept the same trajectory up until now throughout the remainder of the year, are you going to hit it or not? Now we're not going to pass judgment about where we are right now, how close we are, or how far we are.

[08:06] is not about shifting the tactics I have in my business. It is about doubling down in the belief that I am the best profit coach out there, and that I can generate the results that my clients are looking for.

[10:42] It's not easy to review your performances and rehash your methods, but it can be done, and with me as your guide, I can help you get there faster. There's DIY and then there's working with me, and the distinction is significant.

Examine the connection between the two pieces of data. You can make a profit in any window of time when you're an entrepreneur; it all boils down to focused action, support systems, and replicating what works while tossing out what doesn't.Building a business and being intentional about how you spend your time will significantly impact how happy, fulfilled, and successful you feel, which will positively impact other aspects of your life.Take some time to think about your top goals in all areas of your life - family, friends, and work - and then structure your business hours and operations around the lifestyle, recreation, and satisfaction you desire.

    Must-listen Moments:

[06:02] The first step to goal setting - hold on, before you get all dreamy and excited - is to look back at how you spent these past few months in your business and life. Learn how to audit your business revenue and expenses, which are just fancy words for money in and out.

[17:12] It's time to look into the money and time relationship. You can earn profit in just about any window of time in entrepreneurship; it all comes down to focused action, support structures, and repeating what works while dumping what doesn't.

  • Putting your profit First
‘Profit First’ by Mike Michalowicz assisted me in managing my finances. The advice given in the book was beneficial; I tried it out, put it to the test, and it worked for me. I also use its concepts when working with business owners as part of my coaching business.

Mismanagement is one of the problems that business owners and entrepreneurs face. I also can say that most of the people I know also have a hard time navigating this area of your business. To give you a view, in my experience, more business owners work hard to work long hours but then receive less money. Do you also experience this? In this episode, I give a few remedies and guidance in my coaching sessions. My goal for everyone is to get more business owners to be in a position where the profit comes first, the expenses come second, and life starts to look the way they anticipated when they started their business.

I am a firm believer in keeping track of your company's finances. Take charge of your finances and have a better grasp of managing them. I believe that being able to master that expertise will have a significant impact on your potential to expand your business. I can guarantee you that it will give you a great deal of financial independence if done correctly.

Understand your business's numbers and strive to be free of financial mismanagement. Make sure your numbers are in order! You can generate a profit in your business and learn to be the CFO of your company if you follow some effortless financial ideas I've provided to you.

    Must-listen Moments:

[01:48] Business finances in sales and personal financial plan. The concept behind paying yourself first for personal finance. Take your savings out of there where you don't even miss it, and pay expenses out of the remaining amount.

[05:38] Envelope System . This is the concept that you get money in, and you separate into each little group that you might want to spend from.

[10 :00] I see so many business owners feeling two things: One, that they can't grow as fast as they want because there's a timeline and rules. The second thing is the 'shame piece.' There is not one financial professional or business coach that I have ever run across that gives people shit for not doing it right already, for me as an example.

  • Grow Your Business Beyond Social Media

Sounds impossible? I got 4 key tips to get you started.

Here's another real-life trick that I uncovered, just like in the previous episodes. You can establish your business without having to use social media, and how you might be able to incorporate that into your growth this year.

There are a number of different ways to expand your business outside of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, and I have four simple ideas for you to try. First and foremost, this is about being a guest on a podcast. This will allow you to tell your experience and provide you with a platform to promote your cause. Building referral partnerships within your circle is another option to consider. Build relationships with other companies and invite them to participate in a referral scheme. Trust me when I say that they will gladly accept that suggestion.

If you want to speak in front of a group of people and are passionate about expressing your ideas, email your pitch to groups and let them know you'd like to be a speaker. Last but not least, network! Networking can now be done both online and in person. Networking events help you build your list, and having a solid core group can help you go to the top of your industry.

    Must-listen Moments:

[01:24] Podcast guesting is a strategy that I first was introduced to. The first thing is if you are a comfortable speaker or want to become a more comfortable speaker and you have a good story, you have a good way of talking about your business and you have a call to action.

[04:45] Being a speaker. So becoming a subject matter expert and then offering your services to speak in a variety of places. Can you stand up in front of a room, teach some concepts, share some knowledge, give some value and be able to build some of your client base from

[08:38] In networking, it's worth your time since all of you come in together with one purpose, and you share the same audience, which makes a lot of sense. And you are going to these groups with the expectation that you are building personal relationships.
