She's a Rec'

In the season three finale Lauren is joined by BAFTA winning, Tracy Beaker starring, life advice giving Mia McKenna-Bruce!

She shares everything she can (aka very little) about the upcoming Beatles film, offers up a record amount of recommendations and delivers an answer to the age-old question; is it better to work with children or animals?

And as if that wasn't enough from the final guest of the season strap in for a brilliant account of how it feels to win a BAFTA, and a story about a sheep who thinks it's a goat. You're welcome. See you in series four.

Wicked the musical - (Winnie Holzman)

Die On This Hill - (Sienna Spiro)

The vitamin B12 & dried mango - (life advice from Helena Bonham Carter)

3,2,1 - (album Lennon Stella)

This week Lauren is joined by a former MP you’d actually want to go for a pint with. At the age of 20 Mhairi Black became the youngest member of the UK’s House of Commons since 1832. At 25 she accidentally ignored Lauren's invites to be a guest on She's A Rec (twice).

Strap in for as they finally sit down for fascinating conversation straddling politics, birds of prey and famous sunken as Mhairi discusses her WILD time in Westminster, and why she’s now turned her attention to comedy and acting.

During a career that includes Sex Education, Barbie and SAS Rogue Heroes, this week's guest Connor Swindells was only ever working towards one role; being Lauren Lyle's on-screen husband in The Bombing of Pan Am 103.

It was there that the duo bonded over coffee machines, cats (aka "babies") and a tour of a crematorium that "changed everything". Thankfully they also share a love of great female-fronted culture that have had enough of an impact on Connor for him to add them to the ever-growing She's A Rec list of unmissable recommendations.

Connor's recommendations…

Rec one: Lone Rider (Elspeth Beard)

Rec two: The Mustang (Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre)

Rec three: Big (Penny Marshall)
