but recently I've come to realise that I was fighting an internal battle.

One word that people told me not to use in my messaging, that it was 'too complicated' for many, 'too scary' for others.

I've never really agreed with them, and who knows why I tried hard to follow their advice... until now.

There's more than enough evidence to prove that this word is more important than almost any other 'business word' we use.

It's more essential, more necessary than anything else we do as business owners, and therefore, it's not something to avoid, but something to get very. very comfortable with!

So, I've decided to stop avoiding using it (I wasn't that successful in avoiding it anyway since it's what I do!).

you could say that Leonie Rastas is quite the expert on c-sections and all the things that can happen during recovery!

When most people would have simply retired, she felt a huge pull to pass her knowledge and experience to others - helping them navigate those critical weeks postpartum where she's concerned about the huge lack of education provided to new mums about on how to care for themselves - all the info provided is about caring for the baby!

So Leonie poured her heart out into her book, The C-Section Recovery Manual - years and years of personal experience, sharing the insider knowledge on the best ways to care for your scar and how to spot signs of infection or tears, and what to do about them!

In a few short months after publishing Leonie has become a leading speaker on c-section care and recovery, and is now creating online programs to support & educate caesarean mums.

She also hosts a free Facebook group providing support and advice for women on all things c-section!

In this episode she shares honest insights into her unplanned journey from midwife to author, speaker and business owner, plus:

Leonie is known for her C-section recovery advocacy and support. 

She is a nurse, midwife, author, educator and founding director of ‘Caesarcare’, an online service business helping support women in post-C-section recovery with knowledge and skills. 

Her six children were all born by caesarean section and she experienced birth trauma and PTSD after one of her births. She has worked with thousands of C-section mothers during her forty years in clinical practice. 

 In addition, Leonie has designed a variety of medical aids, and her TGA-approved- wound splint was on the shortlist for the Innovation award at the Australian Healthcare Week Sydney in 2019. 

 Leonie’s greatest passion is working with women to enhance healing and promote flourishing especially after unexpected outcomes.

You see them out there, see all the potential business - but for some reason, they just aren't seeing YOU as the solution to the outcome they want.

And it's not your fault either - there's a stack of absolutely terrible avatar worksheets out there that only take you skin deep.

In the many, many years of creating customer avatars, I've seen there's a huge difference in how well you profile your ideal client, to how well your messaging connects.

Generic, surface-level profile = disconnect in your messaging.

Highly specific, psychological profile = deep connection (and action-taking).

AND, the importance of the stuff beneath the surface has gotten so much bigger in the last few years.

To the extent that I even decided to refresh my own popular customer avatar worksheet and include much more of the invisible psychometric profiling that I've found is the key to aligning your marketing!
