Many people equate authority with fame, but that’s not what it means.

Simply put, Authority = Trust. Trust = Sales.

And, it’s not just any sales. It’s high-quality clients at your best rates! So, what creates authority? Well, it’s NOT posting lots of how-to content showing the 3 steps! But this is what MOST people are doing.

What does create authority is when you can change thinking through thought leadership. This means helping someone see a better perspective, but you need to be specific about WHO you are talking to and about WHAT!

Most service businesses I see and who join my programs are NOT specific enough to create authority.

Less is more is certainly the approach you want to take when scaling your business – it's not about adding more!

A smarter, simpler way to scale is often by streamlining first, getting rid of the things that are holding back your growth, and stopping you from getting to your next level. 

So if you're working too much, making not enough, then you're READY to do some work on your strategy!  One of the biggest mistakes I see overworked founders make is scaling a business without first changing their strategy.

If you don't have a scalable service model, it's pretty much impossible to reach your goal. 

But when you have a scalable service model, you've first got a strong foundation, and then you can build and scale up that tower to get to the top!

So instead of googling or looking at everyone else's business, a smart CEO is focused on removing the bits that aren't helping them reach their goals, and leveraging every minute, every resource to get them there. 

More revenue, profit. Less time working. It's not about fancy funnels, it's about smart strategy!

Are you struggling with overwhelm? Or maybe it's a lack of confidence in yourself - the old 'imposter syndrome' holding you back?

Today on the podcast, psychologist Rachel Lounds, from The Poschology Collective, is here to tell you that imposter syndrome is not your friend! One of the most significant barriers in business – and life – is what Rachel calls 'comparisonitis'.

If you are comparing yourself to other people - whether online or the success of someone in your workplace – that won't serve you at all! Instead, the key is to remind yourself that everybody is different.

You are unique, and no one on this earth is like you! No one has the skills like you, thinks like you, or can offer what you have. Identifying with yourself and being more comfortable with who you are will stop you from feeling stressed out and negatively comparing yourself to others. 

It's hard. I get it! I've had all the struggles with imposter syndrome, pricing my worth, putting my face 'out there' for the first time.

Although, to be honest, sometimes I still battle the old imposter syndrome even though I've had so many successes with my clients over the last several years.

But, I guess we never stop growing, and no matter how far we come, the breakthrough is never far away either! Tune in for lots of great advice and tips on how you can turn imposter syndrome around and use it to your advantage.

Hands up if you have ever spent lots of time creating a business plan only for it to be relegated to the bottom of the drawer.

Yes, I get it! When I was working in a corporate role as Head of Marketing and Communications, I would have to present a strategic plan to the board each year.

I would spend all that time preparing – in minute detail - only to present it then file it away, never to see the light of day again. There is a lot about traditional business plans that just don’t work these days.

They are too rigid and have too much detail – and who wants to be constantly updating a plan because if there is one thing certain in life – it’s change.

Don’t get me wrong, there is real value in having a plan. We need one to keep us on track instead of going off on tangents.

But, what if there was a better way? I’m here to tell you there is! My view of planning is to set a roadmap so I can still go with the flow – and it fits on 2 pages!
