Just over a year ago, women in Hollywood finally stood up to the sexual harassment and assault they experienced at the hands of colleagues and Tinseltown moguls. Millions of women chimed in on social media to share their stories with #MeToo. What followed was a crackdown on the power-players of Hollywood, previously thought to be untouchable. The movement gained international support and helped bring the wrongdoers to face justice.

To further examine the MeToo movement, Showcase is joined by Kaitlyn Regehr, who's a gender theorist and lecturer in digital culture and media at The University of Kent.

The largest cinema event of Anatolia's Mediterranean region has come to an end. This year's edition of the International Antalya Film Festival saw some of the biggest movies of 2018 in competition. And it's no surprise, the closing awards ceremony in itself was a glittery celebration of cinema.

To talk more about who ended up lifting the coveted Golden Orange Award and more, Showcase reporter Alican Pamir joins us in the studio after spending all of last week at the 55th International Antalya Film Festival.

October is undoubtedly the artiest time of the year in London's cultural calendar. But when it comes to sheer size, visitors and prestige: Frieze Week tops them all. Featuring leading galleries, artists and collectors it's a week full of performances, lectures and of course, thousands of pieces of art.

He did it again! It seems anonymous street artist Banksy is determined to keep making a name for himself. And his latest act of creation slash destruction has done that. On Friday, Sotheby's London says they got 'Banksy-ed'. 'Girl with Balloon' one of the most recognized and loved art pieces in the UK was among the items up for auction, but what happened after it was sold… has caused shockwaves across the artworld.

How do you go about picking films to scope from a festival line-up that consists of nothing but critically acclaimed, award-winning motion pictures? That's precisely the dilemma moviegoers are facing at the 55th International Antalya Film Festival. To help remedy that, TRT World reporter Alican Pamir decided to lend a cinematic guiding hand by compiling a roundup of must-see feature films.

And to talk more about this year's selection, Alican Pamir himself joins Showcase from the festival.

When it comes to art, style or creative influences, the continent of Africa and the 54 countries contained within it cannot be described or classified as a single entity. And for the last six years, one fair in London has been showcasing as much of that diversity as possible, and at the same time bringing African artists to a global stage. Miranda Atty reports from London's Somerset House.
