Peculiar happenings aboard the schooner Helen B. Jackson when one night during a storm, the small crew found themselves diminished by one. Somebody had gone overboard, and it was surmised that it was one of the twin Benton brothers. But oddly enough, it seemed that the 'presence' of the missing twin continued to exist on board during the following weeks. For example, one extra set of silverware was found to be used after each meal, but nobody claimed to be using them. What then did happen that stormy night, and which brother, if indeed it was one of the brothers, was the man who went overboard? (Summary by Roger Melin)

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (commonly shortened to Alice in Wonderland) is an 1865 novel written by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. It tells the story of a girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by peculiar and anthropomorphic creatures. The tale is filled with allusions to Dodgson's friends. The tale plays with logic in ways that have given the story lasting popularity with adults as well as children. It is considered to be one of the best examples of the "literary nonsense" genre, and its narrative course and structure have been enormously influential, especially in the fantasy genre. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (version 4) by Lewis Carroll (1832 - 1898)

This is a collection of essays, verbal sketches, and stories by Washington Irving. Irving lived at the Alhambra Palace while writing some of the material for his book. In 1828, Washington Irving traveled from Madrid, where he had been staying, to Granada, Spain. At first sight, he described it as "a most picturesque and beautiful city, situated in one of the loveliest landscapes that I have ever seen." He immediately asked the then-governor of the historic Alhambra Palace as well as the archbishop of Granada for access to the palace, which was granted because of Irving's celebrity status. Aided by a 35-year old guide named Mateo Ximenes, Irving was inspired by his experience to write Tales of the Alhambra. Throughout his trip, he filled his notebooks and journals with descriptions and observations though he did not believe his writing would ever do it justice. He wrote, "How unworthy is my scribbling of the place." A commemorative plaque in Spanish at the Alhambra reads, "Washington Irving wrote his Tales of Alhambra in these rooms in 1829". Women's Spaces is a 57-minute weekly show originally broadcast live Monday morning over Radio KBBF 89.1 FM from its Santa Rosa, CA studio.. Elaine B. Holtz is the host and she co- produces the show with her partner Kenneth Norton. Most guests are women and the show is intended to inspire the listener to become more active in affairs affecting the health and peace of the community for generations to come. Elaine first produced the show Women’s Spaces in 1978 on Radio KBBF FM, the nation's first bilingual radio station, and the show lasted until 1981. In 2007 Elaine with her partner Kenneth Norton resurrected the show for TV with her first TV broadcast on Santa Rosa Community station through Comcast Cable Access. Elaine produced over 300 Women's Spaces TV shows by November 2014 when the TV show ended.
In September 2012 Elaine again began producing the Women's Spaces Radio Show on Radio KBBF.

Elaine as a single mom was a student in the first Women's Studies Department of Sonoma State University where she graduated in 1975 with her B.A. in Sociology and gave the Graduation Speech. She then earned her M.A. in Education from San Francisco State University in 1978. She has always had a special interest in the needs and talents of women. In 2017 Elaine was appointed the current President of the Sonoma County Chapter of the National Organization of Women (NOW). She lives in Santa Rosa with her partner Ken.

Kenneth Norton earned his master's degree in Materials Science from Stanford University as the Vietnam War was ending. During that time Ken served as the personal assistant to a poet/sociologist Dr. William Hermanns as he prepared his writings for publication, exposing Ken to not only the sciences but also the humanities and comparative religion for making conscious and conscionable choices. From 2018 through 2020 Ken was a regular contributor to Radio Spotlight Magazine on Radio KOWS 92.5 FM with his 5-minute episodes on the Scent of Light.

As the pandemic thrust us into a new reality, the MixFix Painkillers Podcast emerged as a beacon of solutions, responding to the surge of inquiries from churches across the United States. Alongside a cadre of experts, Bryan Ramsey delved into the multifaceted challenges posed by the "new normal" of virtual church services. Helping many launch streaming in their church that never had a camera before was a huge focus of those earlier episodes.&nbsp; Now, as we step into 2023, while the grip of COVID has begun to loosen, a new crisis looms large – the well-being and mental health of our church staff and teams. Alarming statistics paint a grim picture, with individuals departing ministry roles in every U.S. state and burnout rates reaching unprecedented heights. As staff members grapple with these challenges, volunteers are left to pick up the pieces and fill in the gaps. Prōfectus, do latim beneficiado, é um podcast onde os convidados apresentam os livros que os marcaram e exploram, em conversa, a relevância dos temas em questão.

O principal objetivo do Prōfectus é promover a leitura em Portugal, demonstrando que cada livro tem inúmeras interpretações e que estas interpretações nos levam a fazer perguntas essenciais para melhor entendermos a complexidade daquilo que somos e do que nos rodeia.
