We like the routines we’ve created with the kids and something we have noticed as we’ve done this is your kids will hold you to your routines if they enjoy them, but they will push against you if they don’t enjoy them. Our kids have a lot of funny little things they like to do like hide candy from us, but we’ve encouraged them to always tell the truth even if it’s something that might get them in trouble, but they do it anyway because they get brownie points from us from being truthful.

It’s like where you give an inch and they take a mile, I think sometimes we say no because we feel like if we don’t say no sometimes, they’ll push the boundary out a bit more, like they’ll ask for more.” 10:06
