The RV/Life movement has taken over social media. YouTubers such as RV Odd Couple, The Adventures of Fox & Miles, Carolyn's RV Life and Crystal Vanner who is one of my favorites.

 The real-life experience of the RV/Van life has inspired countless people to sell their worldly belongings, leave their comfortable accommodations, invest in an van and travel the world while living their best life. And while this lifestyle seems simple, there are a few things one must consider before taking the leap and moving into RV/Van full time.

First you must understand that living this lifestyle will require creativity and not being afraid of getting your hands dirty. The RV/Van life is not for everyone and although your daily living expenses can decrease significantly you will still need to generate some form of income. For instance, vehicle maintenance, insurance, food, gas, interior update and getting mail are a few of things you need to keep in mind.

But the good things is Reggie is going to share some starting points to help you determine if this lifestyle is for you. In today’s show he is discussing the pro’s and con’s of living the RV/Van life.

What is marriage or dating material anyway? Everyone has some aspects of being marriage or dating material. The real question is, how do you know if you are ready to commit to a full-time partnership with someone or if you should just mingle with no legal commitments?

If your ultimate goal is to be in a lasting, awesome marriage, this show could provide several must-have skills, so you feel more confident about truly being marriage quality and ready. It can also help you determine if you need to evaluate yourself as a person who is better off in the single life at this point in your life.

Marriage and dating require some of the same relationship skills but ultimately the responsibilities of a marriage are going to require a more in-depth version of each type of skill. In dating, when things are not working out you can easily go your separate ways, especially if there are no children involved. Yes, there maybe some heartache and regret but the breakup process is not as complicated as a divorce. What is your mindset for getting married? These questions may seem like the obvious, but you would be surprised at how many people answer these questions with any understanding of what they just said.

But Reggie is curious as to what his listeners thought about sex on the first date. So that’s why this conversation is being presented to you.

In the modern dating world people are staying in the dating game longer than ever before, men and women are experiencing a lot regarding the changes in dating strategies. For instance, modern women have a more independent mindset, and some prefer to be the aggressor. While some men have decided to sit back and wait, since women are taking more control. In some cases, the men are saying well let me see what offers I can get, yet more traditional men are confused by the entire process.

Making the decision to become intimate on the first date can result from a variety or reasons in which we will discuss in this episode. Some people feel that engaging in sex can ruin a relationship, while others feel it’s good to know what you are getting in the bedroom before you get to deep in emotions.

To add to all of that, the growing trend of online dating could make things a little more complicated: After constantly using the right swipes, some people may become infatuated over a few messages, which only amplifies any fears or the possibility of being heartbroken. Online dating makes it easy to view person and determine if you have a physical attraction to them. Which could lead to a rushed decision or a lasting relationship/

I can’t tell you how many times I have heard people say they miss the music of the 80’s and to be honest I agree! On today’s show Reggie will be discussing the transition of music from the Generation X to the millennials. We all aware that technology has taken music from vinyl to the digital/streaming world. No more making CD’s and selling them from your trunk, now you can your music delivered around the world with one simple application.

So what else has changed about the artist of today, surely we have some talented entertainers in the world but are they as talented as the artist of the 80’s?

Go back in time a few decades, to the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Lots of the bands from these eras have become internationally famous, and their music has become classic. Artists like Prince, Patti Labelle, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Full Force, The Beatles, The Gap Band, BabyFace, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Nirvana, and so many other successful bands. Many of these artists became famous, because they had something that’s hard to find today- real talent. Many of the bands of the past wrote music that had real depth to it. Their lyrics were meaningful, they wrote their own music, they played multiple instruments, they didn’t use auto tune or synthesizers, and many other factors.

One of the best ways to enjoy some time with your significant other is a Netflix and chill night or a Hulu and chill night, but this night should be more than just quietly watching TV or to set a mood.

Yes movies are created to entertain us, but that doesn’t mean that we watch films just for laughs. Couples need movies that can inspire conversation and deepen the mental connection they have with one another. The key is to find films that explore the male and female perspective of relationships.

Unfortunately many couples may struggle finding the right movie. Some people may prefer fantasy, sci-fi or drama, while others may prefer action. So both couples must remained opened minded to expand their movie likes. 

Even though you and your partner may prefer different film styles and themes, there are certain movies that are almost guaranteed to be meaningful for both of you.

In this podcast I have shared a list of movies that I think couples can watch and enjoy together. The movies have a mixture of action, laughter and drama. Remember the goal is to enjoy open dialogue to learn about each other.

Business skills for entrepreneurship are also good life skills. Every parent wants their child to dream of doing remarkable things in life but more importantly they want them to be doers!

I know you have heard this a million times, but kids are our future, and if you’re a parent or person who can influences someone else’s child, it’s important to think about how we can shape them into future leaders, job creators, and successful entrepreneurs. Although there is no guarantee they will be successful, it’s our responsibility to equip them with every skill possible to succeed and make good decisions in life.

Today on the Simply Straight Talk Show, Reggie Maddox is discussing the ups and downs of dating someone who is lazy. From marriage to casual dating being with a lazy person could cause problems. 

It might look appealing at first. It seems like a wise choice as the relationship will be easy and laid-back. But when you marry or date a lazy person you will either have to do the work of two people or live in the consequences of their laziness. Neither are desired.

A healthy active life is necessary for a well-balanced relationship. If a person is lazy, the relationship becomes unequal. One spouse does more work than the other. This easily results in bitterness and/or entitlement. It makes one person the parent and the other a child, but relationships are about partnership. This requires the ability to compromise with each other. For instance, if one person likes to get out on the weekend for a few hours, shouldn't their mate join them? If your mate is lazy they may prefer to stay home and that doesn't mean working around the house. They are simply lounging and relaxing while you run around. 

Let's talk about how relationships are effected and some tips to help you if you are involved with a lazy person.

Have you lost yourself?  Are you so consumed in your career, in your relationship, in the daily grind, that you've lost sight of who you are or where you'd like to be in life?  Well, let me reassure you that you are not the only person to feel this way. 

What does it meant to lose yourself? To lose yourself is to abandon or abstain your thoughts, wants, needs, ambitions and likes for other people or circumstance. This results in you placing other people or things above your own needs in life. Such as work, job, Relationships-family or friends. I believe relationships are the biggest reason people lose themselves in life. Anytime you are placed in a position where your personal life has to be integrated with other aspects of life a balance must be implemented. Marriage, work, family, friends and dating are several examples of relationships in which they tie into our personal lives.

When people seek the approval or acceptance of others, they may refrain from being themselves. This common on jobs where people are seeking promotions, dating when people want to impress someone. A person can spend so much time reinventing themselves to fit with other that they slowly lose who they are in life. This leaves them to never find satisfaction or happiness in life

One of the most common questions asked about relationships is the intrigue some men and women find with people who display a street mentality. Now we have to be honest and acknowledge the fact that this type of relationship will not work for everyone. 

There is certain mindset accompanied by various expectations that a person from the hood will have regarding people they bring into their life. Now before you understand the person you have to realize that this is not the TV Shows Empire or Power, the results whether good or bad are real. 

In this show I will also clarify the difference between a hood person and a thug. Many people get the two confused.
