Jessica Does It Again

What did you love best about The Chase?

This is another fabulous series by Jessica. You fall in love with Dean and Blair,they become real and you never expect what happens next so your always kept on your toes

Who was your favorite character and why?

Book 3 really makes it hard to choose I'm still in love with Blair and her no nonsense strong personality but the Dean just breaks my heart with how he has become so devoted to Blair

What does James Cavenaugh and Lynn Barrington bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

Vocalization they do a great job at pitting emotion into the words and you feel for the characters. They come to life and become really by having them vocalized

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I fell in love with this book. My heart broke with challenges and raced with the unexpected. I loved how the book finished and it was an OMG moment. There were parts that broke my heart but those were short lived

Can't wait for Book 4 to become audible.

What is not to love about this book. Dean Chase is just so yum! He has a dirty, flirty mouth, but is oh so sweet. Blair finally let's him in completely when she realizes just what he has done for her by standing up to her brother.

Both Blair and Dean realize that they love each other. Dean plans to tell her just how he feels about her at a special dinner date he has planned.

Blair meets with her half-sister, Katherine, and is so excited to have a big sister to share things with. When telling her sister about Dean, she reveals that she is in love with Dean. Imagine Katherine's surprise when she hears Dean's last name. After that, Katherine is more than anxious to "meet" her sister's man. (Evil witch!!!)

You have got to listen to this book to see how it all turns out! Will Dean get to surprise Blair with a romantic dinner, or will they both get an unexpected surprise?

I could not believe that ending!

In this installment we get to see Dean and Blair's relationship blossom! We also find out more about Trent and why he's being a hates Blair so much! But the ending omg i did not expect that at all! I can't wait to hear the final installment!

Awesome!!

Oh Jessica why do leave us hanging on the cliff, it drives me crazy and can't wait to listen to volume 4. Jessica Wood definitely has a way to keep her readers addictive and wanting more. I have fallen for Blair and Dean until Blair finds her ungrateful sister Katherine and Dean past comes back to haunt him. Will Blair see the truth before she is hurt and will Dean able to keep it together.

Fun Book!

This is a great book written by Trish Jensen and narrated by Karen Commins. Sherry Spencer is an ad executive. When she gets a twenty dollar bill with For a good time call Kit, she calls the number to warn the poor girl. When a sexy sounding man Kit answers, she agrees to meet him to exchange the twenty dollar bill. She is very surpised when Kit turns out to be her next client.

The narrator Karen Commins did a great job with this book, and it was very easy to listen to. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to in one sitting and I didnt want to stop listening until the end.

If you are looking for a fun romance with great characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

This should have been great but...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

No. I feel like all the elements were there but it was missing something. The hero got better too quick the heroine was overly sweet and it felt forced when she was being tough. It just didn't feel authentic to me. Almost like the author picked a couple of romantic genres and then tried to cram a story to fit it. Older brothers best friend, military hero, girl next door it just was too much

Who was your favorite character and why?

India. Sadly her story intrigued me more then the main plot. I Would have loved to know her history.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I felt almost as though she had a distaste for the characters and couldn't sell it because of that.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No and there should have been. In this type of story you expect a few tears but nothing.

I like Sarah M. Anderson's books. She's an imaginative writer.

Characters and Blizzard

A Real Cowboy is another hit by Sarah M. Anderson. Not only do you get drawn in by the main characters, but the secondary ones. Anderson always make you feel as if you know them. Hoss should have his own book. Even though being caught in a blizzard sounds trite, it is so vivid you feel as if you are in it. I have never read a blizzard presented in this way.The rough road to a happy ending keeps you reading at a rapid rate all the way through the book. It is a great romantic escape.

rousing redemption ranch romance

Fun and Sexy

A Real Cowboy was a fun, light, easy to read book that had me grinning ear to ear throughout. It was fun watching the transformation of Thalia from Producer to Friend to Lover and even more fun watching J.R. fight his feelings and finally accepting them.

What starts out as a simple trip to Montana to lure James Robert Bradley back to the big screen and possibly another Oscar nomination turns into an eye-opening, oh-my-God what am I doing here scene for Thalia Thorne. What should have been a simple negotiation has turned into her almost freezing to death and being shot for trespassing on private land. But, she won't give up ... Minnie Red Horse has given her an open invitation and she is going to take advantage of it. If not to convince J.R. Bradley to come back to Hollywood with her but at least to figure out how to salvage her reputation and her job. Her past has put her in a precarious position and James Robert Bradley is her only saving grace.

6 STARS! WOW!

6 stars! Absolutely amazing! Everyone wishes for something like normal. This is not your happily ever after. This is suspenseful, intriguing, and twisted (in a great way). Miaâs life sucks. Her mother left her when she was young and her father is a crazed drug addict. Mia is forced to do and see things nobody should be subjected to. She is put in a bad situation and is on the run. She stumbles across a small town and is then is shown unconditional kindness and love. She struggles with her new found friends as she has dark secrets to protect. The author really pulls you into this story with amazing writing. You really feel enveloped by the story as if you are right in the middle of it. You feel every emotion Mia goes throughâthe good, bad, and ugly. She has her own demons to deal with but then is thrown into boy problems too. The story is really Miaâs but you also have an intriguing back story going on that keeps you glued. Parts of the story are being revealed that keep you wanting more.

A few of my favorite quotes:

âBut growing up in my world, it was best not to have any âbest featuresâ, and just fade into the background.â

âI know itâs a long shot, but as they say, âThe hardest part of the journey, is taking the first step.â And in my case, itâs better than not moving at all.â

âBut make believe is for dreamers, and Iâm a realist. I will enjoy the here and now because I donât know what tomorrow holds.â

There are twists and turns around every corner. All of the characters have some sort of demon they are battling. Beware, there is a cliff hanger and it will leaving you wanting more. Something Like Normal is anything but. This is one of my favorites!

âBut I know normal is something I will never be, so Iâll settle for something like normal.â

A must read!

Predictable and unrealistic...sorry. Not a fan.

I read the entire book, because I wanted to like it...I really did. There is quite a bit of language, so if that's not your thing, don't bother with this book. It started out ok but toward the middle of the book, it became quite predictable. And if I, as the reader, could see what's going to happen WAY before it does, that's not good. Plus, it was quite unrealistic. I realize that this was just a book but with Mia's past, there is absolutely NO WAY she could survive to the age of 19 with her virginity intact, let alone have the air of innocence that she portrays.

Have Read Better

Although the writing was good and I would read another book by this author, the storyline fell flat for me. Nothing about this story was realistic. Maggie was supposed to be 20 but sounded more like a whiny 15-year-old. Maybe that's because her parents are country superstars and she has been indulged her whole life. She starts out really liking her ex-boyfriend Cole but for some reason I couldn't understand she starts feeling attraction for her voice teacher -- that Cole got for her. Maybe that's what the younger generation does now but I thought it was fickle and strange for a woman that age. Her parents are getting a divorce because her father cheated on her and then you find out her mother was pregnant by another man....so that means SHE cheated as well. WTF?? Maybe a younger adult would find this interesting but this middle-aged former groupie did not.

Coming of Age in the World of Country Music

Maggie Roads is the daughter of country sensations but at the age of 20 she seems kind of lost in her head trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. Everyone is always leaving her including her best friend going off to college. Then she finds out Cole is leaving the band, he was her first and only boyfriend and suddenly she is overwhelmed. Maggie moves out of her parents house, she is a bit nave about the world. She writes wonderful lyrics but dreams of singing. Unfortunately her voice needs some help. Definitely a coming of age book with a few twists and turns. Great read.

Great story; great writing

Great story; great writing; is NOT filled with the usual typo/poor grammar errors many cheap/free Kindle books have. This book kept my interest all the way through. The writing is professional! I would definitely read more from this author.

Finding your voice

Well written story about a coming of age young woman whose parents are a famous country singing couple. Maggie just wants to sing but can't carry a tune. She writes great great lyrics and her parents have been pushing her in the direction of song writer. As Maggie works to make her dream come true she has to figure out what she really wants.

If you are looking for a light and entertaining read pick up a copy of "Out of Tune".

Sweet Surprise

I genuinely enjoyed this sweet surprise of a YA novel in which engaging characters are navigating the sometimes painful, complicated changes and challenges of life, career, and relationships. I was also more than ready for two heroes who are considerate, sensitive and respectful of women as well as of each other.

Forget Me Not Fleet book #2

Wow, 2 damaged people (mentally anyway) trying to make a fit in the regular world. Can they keep their fears at bay and still function? There are so many people out there that fit these two people, and they are fighting the best they know how, afraid to let go because, they may not get back again or afraid to love again, put their life or heart on the line. Heather has such a wonderful way of putting real life people in positions we have either seen or been in ourselves; it's very easy to get lost in the story. I love the determination of Daisy and Sky both and Sky's sense of honor - no one can see it but he feels it. Wow! Great Read!

Where Art Thou Romeo

Wow I thoroughly enjoyed this story about Sky the player and Dr. Daisy the vet who is a Marine widow whose husband was killed in Afghanistan. Sky is a fun-loving guy who likes the ladies but has never lied about his intensions; I love the interaction between him and Mikey and Quinn. I loved Sky in Forgive & Forget with Hallie and Philip; their story continues. However he finally meets The One and now wants what Hallie & Phil have. Unfortunately Daisy has a phobia with helo pilots and especially ones that suffer from PTSD (Sky hides this). Sky even helps Daisy when she volunteers at the Vets home and with the kids at Boys & Girls club and he likes it - who knew! I loved Ms Ashby's realistic characters, believable situations and her attention to the small details with search and rescue. I work with the military; I know PTSD can be a career ender so many seek help on the outside so it is not entered in their official military records. At least they get help. Thank you for your service Ms Ashby and your contributions to Wounded Warrior. diamondgirl

Favorite Forget book.

enjoyed the other Forget books but this is my favorite.Although there wasn't many confusing things in this book, it was a little confusing as to where the bad guys were. I mean they were"probably" in Central America, but it wasn't a given especially since references about where the bad guys were could have been at the beach where H and h were kayaking or headed there.You knew there was going to be some sort of confrontation. Locale just wasn't clear. The other Forget books, I had to constantly figure out if they were on the American or British ship. S this is my favorite.Different look at military life.
