Publisher's Summary:
Twenty-two-year-old Gina Stewart lives with her somewhat eccentric family in Little Florence, Ohio--a small town on the outskirts of Cleveland. Her father, Scottish by descent, is determined to be Italian despite his fair skin and bright-red hair--and he's convinced the rest of her family to be Italian, too. If that isn't embarrassing enough, her hunky neighbor, Anthony Carboni, puts her name on the ballot for Little Florence's Sausage Queen, and she wins. It's his revenge for her ruining his date with that sleazebag Lucia Manetti.
Gina's humiliation doesn't end there. Her postcollege job search leads to one disaster after another. And Anthony's determination to get her to date him only complicates matters. The last thing she wants is to be just another female passing through the revolving door of Anthony Carboni's love life, even if she's had a huge crush on him forever.
Will Gina find her true calling in life? Can Anthony convince Gina he's the right man for her?

Cute story for a quick read. The characters were amusing, especially Gina's family. Great if you're in the mood for a sappy romance. Might have been good to flush it out more and make it a full length story though.
A few things did bring the rating down for me a bit.
First, some facts were mixed up. Gina starts off saying something about how her senior prom was 4 years ago. Then a few pages later she says she's glad to have left high school a few months before and even something about a 18 year old sausage queen. So ya, for the author, please double check the stats you've given your characters.
Second, the characters seemed a bit young for their ages to me. The reactions and antics that they had seemed more like people who were 17/18, not a woman of 22 and a man of 26. Or maybe my perception of how people at those ages act is skewed? I certainly don't remember being like that at 22.
Third, how Gina and Tony fall in love seemed rushed. The author didn't really explain why Tony fell in love with Gina but at least even at the beginning of the story you knew he liked her so it's fine that he says he loves her. But Gina's character doesn't really show that she likes him in that way at all, besides being physically attracted to him. So for her all of a sudden to say she loves him that was out of no where for me. I think this could have been resolved if the story was longer so that the author had more pages to develop their relationship.
Overall, a fun quick read with some entertaining humor.
Sweet little story, geared toward a younger set
This is a sweet story. It is very short. The character and her family are all very likeable. I hate that amazon considers a 3 star rating to be negative. I don't feel negatively toward this book at all, I just found it be average. I feel it would be unfair to other 4 star books to put it in the same category. I just have to be honest that I wouldn't personally pay to own this book.
First off, the main character is just out of college and doesn't have a career as of yet. As I am personally in my mid-thirties I found this character hard to relate to. This book is geared to college/just out of college age group. There is no real conflict in the storyline. Nothing that heightened my emotions at any point throughout. And considering the length, I just can't see paying for this as a book.
