Cute story

Lia Riley had me at the synopsis. A second chance romance in a small town with cowboys? Sign me up! Last First Kiss was a perfectly paced sweet and fun read. On the surface Annie seemed to be keeping it together, but on the inside her life wasnât so rosy. She was easy to relate to, especially when reading her true thoughts via her blog posts. I enjoyed the juxtaposition between Sawyer who loved their town of Brightwater and Annie who couldnât wait to leave.

Sawyer was a sweetheart. I loved his gentle pursuit of Annie. Their romance was tender, but it was also hot. It was refreshing to read a book without copious amounts of angst or drawn out issues. The rivalry between the Kane and Sawyer families added a fantastic layer to the story. Sawyerâs feisty grandmother was most definitely a highlight. I spent much of this book with a big smile on my face. Bring on the next Kane brother!

A SWEET ROMANTIC STORY

Annie Carson is back at the town she fled from a few years ago to sell her familyâs farm. She definitely doesnât plan on stayingânothing is set in stone, especially when she faces Sawyer once again. They have unfinished business to tend to but Annie is not sure she wants to trust again when she was left heart-broken in the first place.

I have a thing for second-chance romances. I love when they are done so right and beautiful, with all of the feelings the characters had from the beginning. To be honest, I wasnât going to read this one. Iâm a person that the cover has to catch my eye. I know, this really sucks and Iâm being judgmental. One of my blogger friends, Becca from Lost In Literature wrote such an outstanding review that made go immediately to Amazon and 1-click the book!!

Annie is a divorced, mommy-blogger who went through quite a lot in life but sheâs still strong with her son Atticus by her side. They both arrive at Brightwater, not receiving the best welcome party but Annie is driven and she will do the task she set out to do. She knew she was bound to encounter Sawyer and she was prepared to not bat an eyelash at him but feelings are still so present for one another. It was great to see Annie believe in herself as the story progressed and become confident. That made her even more of an inspiration to me.

Sawyer Kane let Annie go once and he doesnât plan on committing the same mistake again.

Love on the rocky coast

After being asked to read and review three other books for Ms. Lilly, I enjoyed it so much that I decided to purchase this fourth title. The fact that the story was set in Maine, my home state, drew me to it initially. The author, in just a few descriptive phrases, made me feel like I was back home in small-town coastal Maine. And the story itself proved to be my favorite so far. Penny and Kyle meet when he comes to help out his grandmother who is in the hospital. He takes over her coffee shop, adjacent to Pennyâs bakery. Together they come up with ideas to help save the coffee shop, which isnât doing so well. In doing so, they come to realize that the potential is there for a lasting relationship. A local model (and mayorâs daughter) provides what Penny sees as competition for this famous authorâs attention. She is so much more âattractiveâ, while Penny see herself as a ânobodyâ. But, will real love win out over superficiality? Teresa Lilly has quickly earned her place on my âfavorite authorsâ list. If you enjoy sweet stories with endearing characters, I think sheâll become one of yours, too.

To good to be true? With God all things are possible!

What a delightful, hard to put down book by Teresa Lilly. It was the first book of her's that I've read, and I really enjoyed it. When reading this book, I found myself relating to the character's lives. I too, feel some things seem to be too good to be true, I'm a nobody, could God give me the desire of my heart, and why do bad things happen to God's believers? It is through faith in God and prayer that the characters get through trying times and doubt. Kyle, Kyles' grandmother, and Penny all strive to live Christlike in the book. This book reads exactly like life when things seem to be heading in what one would perceive to be the "right" way, someone or something comes along and messes everything up.

So, what do a famous author, a baker, a coffee shop, a grandmother, a cake shop, and a mayor's daughter have to do with one another? Go grab a good cup of coffee and a baked goodie, find a cozy chair, pull out this book, read, and find the answers. Enjoy!!

Love Heals the Heart is Diane Rose Duffys second novel (she has also published at least one childrens book). I had the pleasure of listening to the audio version of this book. Its a charming and funny contemporary romance with a little adventure thrown in for good measure.

Gracie Watson is a lifelong resident of her small town in Northern California. She leads a relatively quiet life while trying to avoid any more scandal than her divorce has already brought on. Being a first-grade teacher, she has to be careful about that sort of thing! I loved Gracies sense of humor. I could imagine her smirking with her snarky inner dialog. Gracie is a totally relatable character; shed be a great friend--unless your idea of a good time is hiking and camping. Shes more of the spa and shopping type.

Dylan Sanders is a detective in a neighboring town. Hes a good-looking guy who attracts a lot of attention from women, but hes had disastrous luck in the past and avoids relationships as a result. He feels safer just focusing on his job.

Secondary characters Trish and Justin, are Gracies and Dylans best friends, respectively. Both have strong personalities, and both are the sorts you want to have in your corner. Their feisty exchanges are fun; their attraction to each other is obvious to everyone but themselves.

Love Heals the Heart is fun and adventurous from Gracies and Dylans embarrassing first meeting to the end. How would you feel if you met a gorgeous guy while taking care of natures call in the woods? This book is filled with snark, humor, adventure and romance. The fun doesnt stop at that first meeting, but Love Heals the Heart has more going on then just humor. Gracie and Dylan both carry a lot of baggage that becomes a hurdle for an intimate relationship. They have to overcome and overlook a lot and take the giant leap of faith in one another.

Very Confused Because It Was Middle of Series

I must admit that this was kind of a confusing listen for me because it is the end of or near the end of a series and I have not listened to the preceding books in the series.

The book opens with Louisa Cunningham and Ward Brannon are on the run A Bonnie & Clyde style road trip MINUS the crime. I'm not sure who they were running from but it is Louisa that is being pursued.

Louisa belongs to a wealthy family and when she fell in love with Ward (one of the workers on the estate in which she had lived) they were not allowed to stay together.

Louisa's face is on every front page of newspaper, titles similar to 'Missing Heiress' and such. So she and Ward have to keep a low profile or else she will be forced to return to the family estate.

This is a game of cat and mouse as Louisa & Ward try to keep out of the areas in which they may be recognized. The book was almost constant sex, which is good if that's what you like. There was also a lot of strong language.

I apologize for the confusing review. After *I was given a copy of this book to listen to in exchange for my thoughts, opinions & this review. I definitely advised that you start with Book One if you're considering this book. Read them in order. I would not consider this book to be a standalone.

This does seem to be an intriguing series and when I get through my TO LISTEN TO list, I may look to listen to the series in the order.

I think I've reviewed Sarah Beth Goer before, but her narration deserves a glowing report. Her narration was spot on. Her performance was near-perfect. She is able to pull off both male and female characters in a believable manner. That is my "high bar" for performers.

Deliciously Endearing

I enjoyed this one. I hadn't read/listened to any of the other books in the series, but it didn't take me long to catch up. I adored Ward for sticking with Lou and making her his top priority. It probably didn't hurt that there were plenty of rewards along the road ;)

I am curious about what kinds of antics Lou got up to at the estate, so I may go back and listen to the other books in this series.

The narration was great, quality sound and editing.

OMG FSOG had nothing compared this AMAZING HOTNESS between Business Man Trent and his new employee Fennel.

They first met on these extreme weird circumstances, she has booked to meet a man named Leo at a hotel to JUST have sex which she's desperate for. And when 'Leo' turns up being younger MORE handsome and different & ALL questions, nothing sexual until he pounces on her when he pins her down fully clothed, until he asks is this what she wants and leaves her emotionally not just scared or freeked or but decides to question fits she wasn't tí when the REAL Leo turns up.

When she goes for a desperate job interview she bumps into 'Leo', Trent then starts to wonder DOES she want to work there encase she bumps into him, not knowing he's the big boss until she hits for a 2nd interview and she's offered the job by Trent, whom she had to see & she just CAN'T STOP thinking about him and wanting to do things to him.

They progress until one fantastic but emotional horrid night which makes Fennel leave her job with him as she just CAN NOT stand tí see him again, well that's until he turns up at her new work place a month later and tells her he wants her not just back to work for him but HER, HERSELF. The story had a good start. Narrator paused to much. Sophia's constant repeated thoughts drug the story out. I was a bit disappointed after reading all the great reviews.

Awesome Listen

This book was really great to listen & the narrator did an awesome job bring the characters to life. (I never hesitate to buy any good books when the narrator is Hollie Jackson)

Anyway, Sophia's character is really funny with her inner monolog & positive way of thinking...that is an attitude to be admire (Sorry a little spoiler).

I love, both characters "Sophia + Lucas". This book truly is an adventure + survival. A different type of romance at an unlikely situation.
