Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely. It has everything you want in a romantic escape read. The dialogue is well written and I like the images and phrases Ms. Dawson uses. The characters are diverse and real. The plot is more than boy meets girl.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked Shane - self made man who is tough but has a soft side.

What about Rachel Fulginitis performance did you like?

I like the quality of Ms. Fulginiti's voice. Her performance is really entertaining.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I liked Cecilia discovering her vulnerability and choosing her own path.

This is a fun, sharp, witty, romantic novel. I can't wait for the next set of characters to take center stage. I have my guesses on whom they might be. Can't wait to see if I'm right.

What did you love best about Mail Order Bride: Love Out West?

I loved the way the stories transported me and I could really get lost in listening. It made my walking time fly by and I never had to worry about being jolted by something inappropriate.

Creative love story with fun classic throwbacks

I thought this was a creative story. I have read other modern adaptations of the classics but never one that the narrator is so aware that she is in the middle of a modern adaptation. It was charming, quirky and fun. I'm excited to read more by this author.

Cute take on old literature.

A Love For the Pages was a clean romance that referenced classic literature through out the book. The main character Jane is a huge fan of Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, etc and relates her life and those around her to the characters in the classic novels.

This was a sweet romance with little suspense but it was a refreshing read from all the drama filled books I have been reading lately. The characters were likeable but of course you had a few villains but the little drama they caused was needed.

This book was provided to me via Audiobook Boom for my honest review.

No For Me

This story was given to me via audiobook boom. This was more of a story for young adults or teens. It seemed like a coming of age story where both characters were learning what the true meaning of love is. The narration was very good and the voice went well with the story.

A modern spin on some of the classic romances. The love interest in this book is a combination of the leading men in three of Junes favourite classic romance books, Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights.

I enjoyed that much of the book was set in a library and that the main character loved reading. She never went anywhere without a paperback or her kindle. I loved when she pulled her kindle out of her tiny clutch bag at a formal dinner!

I found the characters likeable and hoped that June would work out what she wanted.

When its love at first sight ...

What was one of the most memorable moments of Touch Me?

When Char is out with the girls and her ex is in the same restaurant as they are. The confrontation that follows is dramatic.

What about Meghan Kellys performance did you like?

I've listened to a few of Ms. Kelly's books now and I have found her to be top notch. She really knows how to bring you, the listener, into the story. Her wide range of emotions, voices and her ability to pace the story makes you want to keep listening. It is hard for me to put down a book she is narrating.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Just when you thought you wouldn't find love, you find it in the mini mart!

Touch Me is the story of Char and Riley and love at first sight. Char is coming off of a bad relationship and isn't looking for love. Riley has left is home in North Carolina and moves to Boston to make a fresh start. The two meet up at Char's friends house and its love at first sight. But will they be able to make it work? Char and Riley both have things from their pasts that they need to resolve. This is a sweet love story that I will listen to again.

Yes pulls you in and makes you wanna keep with it to find out what will happen next. Want to hear more when it's over.

When they happen to keep running into each other in random places. How they hated each other at first and how that grew from there.

My favorite part was probably when he took her out to dinner at the pub and she surprises him with the tickets and signed ball.

Yes. I was listening to this at work. And when my shift was over I ended up going home and finishing the book!

Really sweet story

I felt for this woman - its a dark romantic story. 'Torn between two lovers' but with a pretty huge twist. I really felt her pain and how she is pulled apart. I thought Lindy Zart really gave us two great men that anyone would be torn between but again with the twist it becomes even more bittersweet. The opening of hte book is very powerful you understand right away where this woman is at. And the powerful choice Sara makes to get herself together and get her life on track. I found it inspiring. One of those 'pick yourself up by your bootstraps' kind of things. How a person can get stuck and not be able to move their life forward. I think that happens to all of us, maybe not with this kind of impact, but the subtler stuff is almost harder. And I really loved her landlord - really nice to have that amusing relief. Good job to Lindy Zart and the narrator. I felt like I really knew Sara.

An emotional ride of love lost and found again...

I liked this book and felt the feelings and behaviors were spot on. There is no way anyone can imagine what it feels like to lose a mate until it happens and it is crushing. It takes another love to distract us from all the pain. From Cole to Lincoln, I felt the author did a great job on the details. I found this title via a goodreads ugly cry list. It didn't make me cry, but I still found the book good.

The author, Lindy Zart did a good job on this book. I really feel this book can help others who loved and lost too. Letting them know they are not alone and it's ok. The narrator, Kelly Hazen did a great job in her flawless delivery of this book complete with multiple voices and accents. The emotions were spot on too.

4 Take Care, Sara Stars

I was looking for something different to read, not something that would make me cry but if it did then all the better.

This did not make me cry but this book was chalked full of emotion.

I loved how the author makes you almost feel the womans grief. But also the brothers grief as well.

I have read a few reviews where people dont think this is a love story. But it is.

You have this woman drowning in her grief and the womans husbands brother who not only is hurting too but he helps her live again. Thrive again.

It is heart breaking and emotional and ugly and sweet and swoony. Its a womans journey of lose and strength.

I would recommend this book to someone who wants an emotional book with the romance aspect light on the sex.

I dont believe I have listened to any of this narrators work before, at first it took some getting used to, it was like she was both characters and a narrator for the story. I actually really liked that.

I need to reread the series

I enjoyed this book, but felt a little lost. I am not this far along in the overall series. I thought this could be a stand alone because it was a quickie, however, it really did connect to the other books. Many mentions of events and people I had no clue about. This is a very steamy read and more BDSM play than I expected. I liked it, but I think to really enjoy it I will have to read again after I catch up on the series.

Plenty of hawt and heavy smexy action!! Pretty much the whole point of this book is the sexing, so you get a big chunk of it. Be ready to have a ice cold shower or have someone handy to snuggle!

Audrey Lusk is a wonderful narrator who never fails to deliver with a smexy read!! I love how she brings all the seductive parts to life and gets ya all hot n' bothered. Her pace is spot on and she has just the right energy to make the read charismatic! This is why she is one of my favorites for the naughty reads!

Stirring Second in the Fire Series!

Set in 1106, 13 years after LADY OF FIRE, this is the story of Guy, Count of Rivaux and Catherine, Demoiselle of the Condes, daughter of Roger de Brione and Eleanor (from book 1).

The story begins as William the Conqueror's surviving sons are at war. Henry is King of England and his older brother Robert Cuthose reigns in Normandy. Guy, Count of Rivaux has been sent to Condes to take Lady Catherine as hostage for Curthose to ensure her father's neutrality. Catherine has been promised to Robert of Caen, King Henry's favorite son but she's not enthusiastic about him. She would have another of the king's bastards, Brian FitzHenry. However, when Cuthose needs men and money, he bargains with Guy for men and money using Catherine's hand as the incentive. Guy marries her but as she is only 13, he does not take her, wanting to allow her time to grow. And then comes the war...

Like LADY OF STEEL, this tale is rich in the history of the time as England and Normandy battle for control. Caught in the middle are Guy and Catherine and their tenuous emerging love. The villain from LADY OF FIRE, Robert, Count of Belesme, is back and just as compelling a figure as before. If you loved book 1, you must read this one for a dramatic finish.

I love a great historical romance - unfortunately, this was not that great. The historical accuracy was acceptable, the visual details there for the most part, but the storyline was much too predictable. The main Heroine unlikable (smug, arrogant, very immature, 13yrs old was not young for wedding/bedding back then, but they were usually also acted much older, since most people never saw the other side of 30) It required very little thought or attention (from me) to any of it to follow and much of it dragged for pages. The author had a very annoying habit of constantly using "God's blood...(but you take liberties with my person!) and, "God's bones...(do you think me a fool?). I thought if I read either one of those ('God's blood/bones) again, I was going to hurtle my Kindle out the tower window and hoped it hit the Demoiselles bitchy little head! Affordable and not bad for those times you just want some nice 'fluffy' reading to relax to...

No 5 star but almost

When I started reading this story it was so boring but I saw all of the 5 star reviews and knew there had to be something to it. At the 36 percent mark I started enjoying the story and it became very good.

All About Playing With Fire

Hearts of Fire falls into the old skool type of romance. If you remember the Signets when villains were incredibly evil and destructive, heros were very alpha, and a strong heroine has to overcome one awful obstacle after another, this is for you. Richard's "parents" are well-established nobles from a previous novel in this series.The hero starts out as a brother figure to the Gillisne, but then he finds out a secret that makes it possible for him to be her husband if he can just find some way around his honor. Then there's Gilliane's secret. There's betrothal;, a marriage that keep them apart. It all moves quickly from one black moment to another. For me, this medieval felt like it was grounded in the era, but others argue there are anachronisms that drop them out of the story. I like the presence of war, poverty, and religion.

The draw back of this book is that it is a reissue. When they converted the text from hard copy, the proofreader has to been asleep, drunk, or incompetent.

Along the lines of this being written in a different environment, it has a series of scenes that are going to be trigger-y for some readers.

Last complaint, one of the characters is Roger and our hero is Richard. If you read fast, there's going to be some moments where you go, is this Roger or Richard?

But for all of the above, I still loved the main characters, the pacing of the disasters, and the evolution of emotions. Best of all, I liked how this book fit into the series. And yes, I've read all five "Fire Books" in order.

Loved this Book!!

Loved this book. I cried, & cried and smiled and was happy to see the characters from the first two books. This is the third book in the the fire series by Anita Mills and I did not want it to end. At first I did not like the hero but as we got to know him it was to love him and the heroine. This book also shares with you the upheavels in a country when there is no king and/or no one in charge. It also shows you what horrible things people will do for power. Gilliane and Richard are the h & H What a sad time to be female as they practically had no rights. (1135) King Henry died and the crown was fought over for 19 years. Our story starts with our heroine's brother Geoffrey de Lacy being killed by treatchry by William of Brevise.(A moderate bad guy) In rides our hero but all think he is the villian Brevise and begin attacking him. Mistaken identiy as there is a storm and no one can see his banners.............. Again I hope you purchase the first 3 books as you will not be sorry. Lady of Fire, Fire & Steel and Hearts of Fire.

Cute but I had issues

I'm a sucker for a man with a disability, especially a verbal sort of disability like our MC in this story.

Kris has form of Tourette's where he says adjectives out loud about whatever he is thinking. It was pretty fascinating to read about, and as the sister of a stutterer, I immediately connected to the MC. I really enjoyed the first part of the story. It was Christmas-y, touching, and just gave me the warm fuzzies inside! I was melting hard and fast for this story.

But then... it sort of lost me. I starting to have some issues with POV changes and then their relationship took off at lightening speed. I wasn't quite on board with it, and when the drama started up, I started to disconnect from the story.

Another issue that I had was with the audiobook. Now, the narrator has a great speaking voice, to be sure, but he is clearly not American. I kept rereading the blurb and re-listening to parts of the book, waiting to see if this book was secretly taking place in Scotland and the blurb and the story just didn't get the memo. At least, I think it was a Scottish accent... Anyway, it was distracting because it wasn't what I pictured for that locale and those characters. Also, I could have used a bit more vocal differentiation between the MCs. I found the dialog hard to follow at times because the two guys sounded alike to me.

Short Holiday themed story.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would. It's short and romantic and quite descriptive for so few pages.

The way Kris kind of communicated through his Tourettes. Saying things he otherwise wouldn't have said out loud.

Kris Hamilton turned his online snow globe making business into something full time, buying into a store in Minnesota and moving his life across country. Only to be ceremoniously ostracized by his neighbors because he is different. Kris is tall, thin and has the appearance of an Anime character come to life, hes gay and he has Tourettes. Any one of these characteristics would be frowned upon in this straight laced Midwestern town, but Kris seems to have nailed the trifecta.

When Tyr Tollefson and his niece stumble into Kriss store and are witness to a full on episode, Tyr gets the wrong impression. But Kriss personality shines when he starts to get to know Try and Bun, and Tyr learns the real reason behind Kriss outbursts.
