In the 3rd episode of the saga, Raven and guest cohost Professor Mandy McNeely take you back to 1999, Welch, OK, to talk about Ashley Freeman and Lauria Bible, two girls who went missing after Ashley's parents were slain in their homes and their trailer burned down.
The episode incorporates Raven's interviews with Lisa Broderick, Lauria's cousin, and Lorene Bible, Lauria's mother. The opening line was read by Jax Miller from Hell in the Heartland.
Jax Miller is the author of Hell in the Heartland. She was a producer for the 4 episode docuseries based on her book, Hell in the Heartland: What Happened to Ashley and Lauria? (HLN, but currently streaming on Amazon Prime with Discovery+), and the case of Ashley Freeman and Lauria Bible. Jax is also a writer for NBC, Bravo, and Oxygen. She has one fiction book, "Freedom's Child," and is working on her next one now.
