The coaching industry got hijacked and that sucks. Marketing got prioritized over transformation, coaches got "celebritized" and people began to idolize them, put them on pedestals and mimic their lifestyles. There was a push to shove people into cookie cutter frameworks or get them to buy $997 courses and as a result a lot of people lost time and money, got manipulated and never got the transformation they were actually looking for.
Thankfully we are starting to see a shift.
In this episode of Sisternomics, I unpack why I believe the coaching industry is going through a necessary course correction and why women over 45 are no longer looking for gurus, perfect frameworks, or louder personalities. We are looking for something deeper.
I talk about what real coaching should actually feel like, the difference between support and proximity marketing, why AI can't replace human discernment, and the quiet power of being truly seen, heard and honsetly supported.
This conversation is bigger than coaching. It's about trust. Identity. Discernment. Emotional exhaustion. And what women truly need in this season of life.
Listen if you're a coach or looking for a coach.

I've been navigating a strange mix of expansion and exhaustion at the same time. Some days I feel wildly clear and motivated. Other days I want to disappear into the woods with a tent, a book and a good snack. If you know, you know.
In this conversation, I'm opening up about the quiet internal shifts helping me stay grounded while life keeps life-ing.
These aren't flashy success hacks. They're deeper than that. These are those unsexy superpowers we don't talk enough about that help us move with more intention, peace and confidence as women navigating business, family, purpose...all the things!
If you've been feeling the tension between becoming and surrendering...this episode is for you.

About us
Sisternomics is produced by OverFlow® Enterprises, a Black woman-owned coaching and content creation company.
There's a reason nature moves in seasons. Nothing blooms year-round. Nothing produces nonstop. So why do we expect ourselves to constantly produce without honoring the season we're actually in?
In this episode, using gardening and farming as the backdrop, I'll walk you through some of the different seasons we experience in life and business and how much easier things become when we stop fighting the timing of where we are.
Some of us are in a planting season. Some are finally starting to bloom. Some of us are carrying fruit we prayed for years ago. And some of us are being asked to prune. So before you quit, ask yourself, "which season am I in?"
Episode Highlights3:51 This season is one of the toughest

15:55 The season of cutting back what you get complimented on is TOUGH

In the Season 12 premiere of Sisternomics, Monique Caradine-Kitchens returns with a powerful reminder for ambitious women navigating life, leadership, purpose and reinvention: you were never meant to figure everything out alone.
Speaking directly to women in their 30s and 40s, Monique reflects on what she would do differently if she could go back. At the top of the list? Building a personal board of advisors sooner.
In this episode, she breaks down the six people she believes can radically impact your life, healing, confidence and long-term well-being. Who would you add to this list? Who will you share this episode with?

I love a good mantra or declaration. Not to mention, now is the perfect time of year to get these in your mouth!
When you say mantras frequently out loud, they have the power to literally shift your focus to the things you desire to manifest in your life.
The mantras in this episode focus on abundance, prosperity and declaring your worth.
If you believe in the power of declaring and decreeing things, I invite you to put this episode on repeat. It won't take long before you see and feel the change!

This past summer, I disappeared for 75 days to reset my body and work on me. No crappy food, no alcohol, no social media.
After sharing my journey publicly, friends, family and a few listeners asked the same questions:
In this conversation, I answer those questions. I walk you through the foods I leaned on, the habits I released and the mindset shifts that made this reset sustainable. I also talk a bit about emotional eating, discipline and how challenging it was to choose healing over convenience.
This reset was never about perfection or restriction. It was about listening to my body and the signs I had been ignoring for far too long.
Is your body calling for a reset?
In this episode, you'll hear:00:59 — The decision to begin again
01:54 — Preparing for the reset
03:01 — What I actually ate
05:28 — Hydration, eliminations and non-negotiables
07:04 — Emotional eating and awareness
08:30 — Answering your most asked questions Doctors, lab work, the scale, and trusting your body's signals. NOTE: I am one of the millions of Americans without health insurance so that is why I made some of the decisions I share in this segment.
14:53 — The hard parts and staying committed
17:57 — Encouragement for anyone sensing it may be time to pause and reset.

After raising kids and building careers, many women over 40 begin to silently wonder, "is this all there is?" OverFlow gives us spaces where we can explore health, growth, entrepreneurship, abundance, wealth and what life can look like when we release limitations and finally live on our own terms.
After sharing a simple update on LinkedIn that unexpectedly resonated with quite a few of my followers, I knew it was time to tell the deeper story behind my 75-day reset.
From July 8th to my 55th birthday on September 21st, I stepped away from several things that really had a hold on me. This wasn't about dieting. It was about saving myself.
Before I started the journey, anxiety was rising, depression was creeping in, my body felt weighed down. It felt like I was drowning in my own life. Something inside whispered, "Stop now, or you're going to break."
In this episode, I take you into that journey and the quiet but powerful shift that eventually unfolded.
If you've been feeling depleted or disconnected from yourself, this conversation may be the sign you've been waiting for to reset and breathe again.
In this episode, you'll hear:00:10 — Why this reset became urgent The moment I knew something had to change.
00:57 — Choosing a 75-day detox What I cut out and why.
02:14 — When overwhelm hit a breaking point Anxiety, depression, and the wake-up call I couldn't ignore.
03:43 — The hard early days Cravings, withdrawals, and confronting discomfort.
13:33 — The first signs of healing Better sleep, calmer energy, and reduced inflammation.
15:04 — A spiritual quieting Reconnecting with peace and God.
19:40 — A shift in my coaching Leading from the heart, not the head.
21:10 — Lessons I didn't expect What patience and surrender revealed.
24:27 — An invitation to reset Encouragement for anyone feeling depleted.

But this isn't just a conversation about health problems. It's a story of legacy. Dr. K shares how she and her husband turned frustration into a movement by creating ProBlk Health, a brand that doesn't just sell supplements, it reinvests into the Black community. Yes, 50% of their profits go toward initiatives that advance health equity.

What does it take to walk away from a "good government job," a law degree, and the security everyone expects you to hold onto?
Deida Massey knows. People called her crazy but she called it obedience.
Raised on Chicago's South Side, Deida started out advocating for abused and neglected children. But something in her spirit said there was more. So she did the unthinkable: she left it all, moved to L.A. with no connections, and started at the bottom of the makeup world.
Her leap led her into rooms with icons like DMX, Common and Dr. Maya Angelou… and ultimately to Zanzibar, where one encounter with the "lipstick plant" sparked the birth of Bixa Beauty, her vegan cosmetics brand.
This conversation is full of the kind of truth you only get from a woman who risked everything.
