COVID19 లాక్డౌన్ అమలు చేసినప్పటి నుండి, రైతులు, ముఖ్యంగా మహిళా ఇంకా కౌలు రైతులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్న సమస్యలను రైతుల హక్కుల కార్యకర్తలు ప్రభుత్వం దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లారు. ఇందులో కొన్నిటికి పరిష్కారం దొరకలేదు. ఖరీఫ్ ప్రారంభంలో రైతులకు సంబంధించిన ఇంకో అంశం చర్చనీయంశంగా మారింది - తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రవేశపెట్టిన నియంత్రిత సాగు విధానం.

(Since the implementation of COVID19 lockdown, farmers' rights activists have been flagging issues being faced by farmers, especially women and tenant farmers during this period. This, in addition to the longstanding prevailing problems.

(Surabhi Theatre group is one of the most prominent names in Telugu theatre. Actors in Surabhi have been acting in plays for generations with dedication. With a history of over 130 years, it is said to be the only theatre in the world with family members managing it.
This theatre group which survived the world wars over ages is now in the brink because of COVID. For this episode, our editor Padma Priya spoke with Mr. Jayachandra who is the sixth-generation director of Sri Venkateswara Surabhi Theatre group.)

ASHA workers were roped in to do door-to-door surveys with hardly any protective gear in several places. Further, with public transport services shut, they have been facing difficulty travelling too.
