I am so annoyed that market sizes and ratings talk have become such a huge part of the sports media landscape.

It seems the last 20+ years have seen a rise in media people focusing on this topic. Most people don't even understand it.

I never watched sports thinking "Oh boy, I wonder what this matchup will do for the ratings!".
