On todays episode we have our friend Carlee Janae joining us on the podcast. We met Janae the summer of 2018 when we first moved to Raleigh. She was our first intern and mastermind behind all of our beautiful design work. She has her own design agency, Creative Roots Agency, she’s the host of Naked and Exposed the Podcast, the poet/ author behind it Hurts to Heal a book of short poems, and an amazing photographer. Her energy and spirit is contagious, God is working through her in such amazing ways. By the end of this episode your spirt will fell recharged! On this weeks episode we have a special guest, Kelly Lenahan. We met actually met Kelly back in San Diego and ended up moving to her home-ish state NC. Ya’ll we have been following your fitness journey since 2015. Kelly is one of the early fitness accounts to have a large following on social media. We worked at at the same gym in San Diego and she was always so serious entering the gym, not talking to anyone, lifting heavy AF. Shane and I both admired her. The funny thing about social media is we followed her but never really talked until 2017. Now we’re all homies, still admiring her hard work and dedication to being strong and building muscle. Kelly has an online coaching business helping women get strong and fell confident in their own bodies. She also shares more information related to life, powerlifting and more on her Youtube page. On top of that she’s always collaborating with businesses to create dope products. We’re so excited to share this conversation with you.

This week we have one of our favorite boss babe friends on the podcast with us, Kayleigh Flippen. Her friendship shows the power of social media because we have actually never met in person. But over the past year this gal has become one of our besties. We have watched her balance multiple businesses, grow in her fitness, and step into sharing more about veganism. We dive into what it takes to run your own business. She started her first business at 17 and knew she never wanted to work for anyone else. After watching her mom become a successful entrepreneur she knew this would be her calling. With 3 businesses under her belt she has only had success. How? Every business has been carefully and thoughtfully planned out; with a 10 year plan in mind. “If you know what you wanna do, then do something about it. These people fantasize entrepreneurship, they think it’s going to be this amazing thing. You’re going to have all this free time. You’re going to be your own boss. But no, no. You have to know exactly what you want. You have to go at it with so much faith and fury and tenacity. It’s really hard work. Like you have to go after it. If you don’t know what you want to do than you’re not ready.”

This week we have an extra special guest, my brother Ben Kravetz. Ben has been solo backpacking across the Middle East and South East Asia for the past 6 months. He has recently taken a break from backpacking and is residing in Bondi Beach, Australia.

We talk about the importance of solo traveling and how it can really push you outside your comfort zone. Ben talks about how he chose to take this trip after college insted of taking the traditional route and getting a job. This was a choice he made only a year before graduation after his Buddhism professor encouraged his dream to travel.

He purged everything he could get his hands on before the trip trying to make enough money to sustain his traveling. "It really shows you how much shit you have and don't need. No one cares if you have the newest nicest pair of sneakers. You're not changing anyones life buy having those expensive sneakers."
