This is it, Sneakers! We made it to 300 shows!
To celebrate, Ian and Dave popped into 8th Dimension Comics, their local comic book shop, to record a live episode with comics artist Steve Skroce, who has worked with the Wachowskis (The Matrix Trilogy, Speed Racer, et al.), George Miller (Justice League Mortal) and Brian K. Vaughan (We Stand On Guard), as well as himself on his own Maestros.
After a fantastic opening song from trusty local music legend David M., Ian, Dave and Steve give thanks; eat Brownie’s Chicken; discover Steve’s fast-food chicken past; pit Col. Sanders against Capt. Crunch; work with Clive Barker; work with The Wachowskis; ride Keanu Reeves coattails: prefer living in the matrix; wonder who was two; laud the Wachowskis for at least trying; make some bold statements; pitch Jumani in space; question R.L. Stein’s existence; speak the truth; snatch some bodies; work with George Miller, state “Comics are better”; work with Brian K. Vaughan; talk more chickenshit; defy the pro-chicken lobby; attempt a horse show update; have children; name Dave’s best daughter; work on Maestros; enlarge a penis; fondly remember Mugs’n’Jugs; announce our contest winners; and, finally, close out on two songs: David M ends the show with a touching medley and then we hear a great song sent in by listener Chris Roberts, “When Sneaky Dragon Flies”.
Thanks for listening. (Oh, and wait for the little bonus David M. song at the end. Warning: it starts off quiet and then gets loud. Do not adjust your set.)
Congratulations to our “Eat With Us” contest winners: Karlin Leshchyshyn, Jay Aguerra, and Crystal King! (Sorry if you didn’t win, but we will do this again.)
But don’t despair, you can still take part in our little show by sending us your story. If you need a prompt, Ian suggested “your secret origin” and Dave suggested “how how you found Sneaky Dragon” Please record a two to three minute story and send it to us via email (
[email protected]) or our Facebook page. Or Skype “Sneaky Dragon” and leave a message on our voicemail. David will add a playlist for your story as well.
And now, with Marcus Harwell’s permission, here is his spec cover for Frank Bigfoot, PI:
Some irresponsible driving there, Marcus.
