We’ve all watched animated movies and sitcoms where friendships seem to last forever. And deep down, we’ve wanted that.
–
We’ve wanted to have best friends:
But life doesn’t work that way.
–
Minor misunderstandings come up or friends just seem to fade away if we don’t put in the constant effort.
–
Why is that?
–
In this episode, we will talk about why friends come and go so that can understand that friendships aren’t really meant to last.

This time of year always brings with it a feel-good movie or three. As families brave the snowy temps and the queues both online and at shopping malls for gifts and stocking stuffers, there’s nothing better than taking a break in the warm glow of the silver screen (or your TV). Well, that, and some popcorn. Lots of popcorn. This holiday season, Tom Hanks, Hugh Grant, and Santa Claus himself are on hand to make sure your yuletide is the best it can be. Here are 30 must-see films you should add to your Christmas watchlist.

No one sets out in life to fail. But the reality is that far too many do fail. Why do some prosper while others struggle just to exist? There is no simple answer to that question.
–
Please allow me to share a sequence of events you can begin to put in place starting today that can work for you. That may not only shed some light into this complex issue but perhaps, even help you climb your ladder of success. This includes remembering the ladder along the way.

It’s human nature to take things for granted when they’re present and value them when they’re gone. ABSENCE MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER. I can never seem to understand that; we all know better yet we all seem to take everything for granted until it’s too late – then we start wishing we had done otherwise.
–
To put it in my words I think that we never truly understand the meaning or purpose or significance of another human being until they pass then we come to the realization that WOW HE/SHE is gone forever. Like I will never ever see or hear what he/she have to say ever again, that realization hits home and then we get sad – it’s the human experience.

Tipping gives the waiter an incentive to provide better service. Waiters are paid less than minimum wage and need the money.
–
Whether you have worked in the restaurant industry or not, you probably appreciate just how hard servers work to provide fast service in a friendly and helpful manner. Tips are a tangible way to show your server just how much you appreciated their hard work to make your meal enjoyable.
–
It’s the expectation and an essential part of how restaurant workers earn a living. A guest’s tip subsidizes wages for most of restaurant or service workers. It’s a reality that only exists in North America the United States and Canada.
–
Refusing to tip is embarrassing: it makes you lose face in front of the waiter and your colleagues. Tipping is a strong social norm and violating it is extremely rude. You show so little class and lack of any culture when a person in the service industry ‘bends over backwards’ to make your experience enjoyable and you dont show your appreciation with a tip.
–
Yes if the service was bad then I agree no tips. If it was good then show it.

Unruly airline passengers, disorderly customers, reckless drivers—there have been some disheartening stories (to say the least) of people acting out in public. So what gives? Why does it seem like everyone is filled with such rage?
–
“In the context of this prolonged pandemic, people are experiencing a broad range of difficult emotions, including anxiety, worry, sadness, despair and guilt,”. “But one emotion stands out above the rest and that is anger. Anger is a normal reaction to stress. It’s a sign of our distress and an example of our suffering. We have all experienced social isolation, a loss of routine, increased fear and prolonged uncertainty, grief and loss—even grieving the way things used to be.”
–
Anger in the short term is normal, understandable and even adaptive. It can signal to us that something is wrong and needs to be addressed. “If no one had felt anger about the pandemic, we may never have developed life-saving vaccines, or instituted masking and social distancing requirements”. “We know these two things have saved countless lives. We need to care about the world around us and work toward improving it— and sometimes we need anger to help motivate us.”
–
That said, prolonged, uncontrolled anger is associated with long-term health effects, including increased risk for hypertension, worsening pain management, increased anxiety, weakened immune system and headaches. Suffice it to say, prolonged anger is detrimental to you and those around you.
–
In the end, we all have to work toward radical acceptance—we don’t have to like what happens but we do need to accept our reality. And if these tips don’t work, you can always seek help through a mental health professional who can help you to process difficult emotions and learn healthy coping strategies.

Only answer calls/texts from known numbers. If you answer a call from an unknown number, hang up immediately. If you answer the phone and the caller or recording asks you to select a button or number to stop receiving the calls, you should just hang up. Scammers often use this trick to identify potential targets.
–
Do not respond to any questions, especially those that can be answered “yes” or “no.” By responding “yes,” you’re informing robocallers that your phone number is active. They then might sell your number to other telemarketers, leading to more unwanted calls. Criminals also may record your answers and use the recordings to impersonate you, such as authorizing charges to your credit card or account.
–
Never give out personal information, such as account numbers, Social Security numbers, maiden names, passwords or other identifying information in response to unexpected calls/texts or if you are suspicious of the caller/sender.
–
If you get an inquiry from someone who says they represent a company or government agency, hang up and call the organization using the phone number from your account statement, the phone book or its website to verify the authenticity of the request. You will usually receive a statement in the U.S. mail or email before a phone call from a legitimate source, particularly if the caller asks for a payment.
–
Use caution if you are being pressured to divulge personal information.
–
If you have a voicemail account, be sure to set a password for it. Some voicemail services are preset to allow access if you call from your own phone number. A malicious actor could spoof your phone number and gain access to your voicemail if you do not set a password.

While bottled water has a “healthy,” “pure” image, it is less regulated than tap water and significantly more expensive. Tap water is stored in reservoirs and carried into homes and offices through pipes; it is managed by local municipalities. Bottled water is packaged in plastic bottles and sold in stores. It includes water used in water coolers.
–
Although some bottled water comes from springs, more than 25% of bottled water comes from the municipal supply. Natural mineral water and spring water is bottled at the source and may not be subject to any processing except the introduction of carbon dioxide. However, some bottled water comes from other sources, including municipal supplies, and can be treated with UV light to kill bacteria, filtration, and ion exchange to get rid of excessive minerals. No residual disinfectant is included.
–
Much of bottled water’s popularity comes from the perception that it tastes better. However, in blind taste tests, people cannot tell bottled water from tap water and, in some cases, prefer water from the tap.
–
Which do you think is better?

For most people, the holiday season is a time for giving. But for fraudsters and scammers, it’s a time for taking. Police are reminding people to be aware of a dozen common scams during the holiday season.
–
Police say they have investigated several gift card scams, offers involving bank loans and credit line scams, and emergency gift card scams in the last few weeks.
–
Most scams are variations on everyday fraud, ramped up to match seasonal spikes in spending and web traffic. Not surprisingly, they often center on shopping, especially online. As real retailers roll out their seasonal deals, scammers seek to snare bargain-hunting shoppers with bogus websites and social media campaigns that impersonate major brands. These “spoofing” sites and fake posts entice you to spend money for products you’ll never receive.
