Stop Jumping to Conclusions With Bad Reviews
–
Jumping to conclusions is a common issue for many people. When people jump to conclusions, they make unwarranted assumptions based on limited information. This type of thinking allows people to make decisions quickly, but it also means that these decisions are quite often wrong.
–
Jumping to conclusions with a thing like a bad review is a type of negative thinking pattern known as a cognitive distortion.
While jumping to conclusions is an extremely common cognitive distortion, there are things that you can do to stop engaging in this type of thinking as often. Steps you can take that may help:

Sometimes it is important to stop. You need to take a moment and celebrate your achievements and not just the big ones. You may not think it’s an extraordinary accomplishment, but the small things matter, too. Anything you have done to make a difference in your own life (or someone else’s) is worth celebrating.
–
It is so easy to brush away our accomplishments especially the small ones. If we move our focus too quickly to what comes next, we lose sight of the present moment and what was good. We diminish our successes.
–
It’s important to give yourself permission to feel proud and experience joy.
–
In your own busy life, I encourage you to STOP, take a breath and enjoy the moment. Think back to your accomplishments in the past few days or weeks. Maybe you faced a fear, took action, or started a new habit? Whatever it was, relish it for a moment. Be proud of yourself. Celebrate your achievements! Use this positive moment as a starting point to encourage more positive energy to come your way.

Do you tend to get overwhelmed with everything going on in your life? Whether it’s the responsibilities piling up at work, the chores you have to do at home, or the people in your life who need your attention, it can feel like you have too much on your mental load if you never get to step away from it all.
–
That’s why it’s important to learn how to take time for yourself.
–
What does taking time to yourself mean?
To find time for yourself means to set time aside consciously. This time should be meant for you and you alone.
It’s not meant to be time alone to catch up on the chores on your to-do list. It’s also not supposed to be time spent with your partner.
Putting aside some time that’s truly for yourself means you get to spend time on your own doing what you want to do, not what anyone else thinks you should be doing. It’s a simple self-care practice yet difficult for many to implement.
–
Is it okay to take time for yourself?
There’s always a lot going on in anyone’s life. You’ll have work, chores, keeping up with friends, spending time with your partner, caring for children and pets, and so much more to think about.
But you’re allowed to take time alone that’s meant for you and only for you. It’s a vital step in taking care of yourself.

A few nights ago, Sophie and I had some new friends over to play games. They’re younger than us but also our contemporaries in the sense that they’re a married couple with jobs. We had a great time, but things got a little weird when we started talking about where we were on September 11, 2001. I was starting my second year at my first post-college job; they were in fifth grade.
–
I felt old.
–
Maybe it’s because I’m past my mid-40s now and careening toward my next decade, but I’ve been thinking a lot about getting older. Most of the things we associate with aging — wrinkles, slowing metabolisms, ticking biological clocks — aren’t good. This can make celebrating another birthday seem like a bit of a tragedy. But it shouldn’t be.
–
Whether you’re in your early 20s or a decade (or two) past that, consider these reasons we discuss in this episode about getting older being the way to go (as if you had a choice!).

The impact of fraud goes well beyond financial loss. Fraud impacts people, industries, entities, services and the environment. Understanding the total impact of fraud allows entities to make better informed decisions. Serious impacts can arise from any type of fraud, whether it’s carried out by opportunistic individuals or serious and organized crime groups. However, serious and organized crime can often increase the scale and impacts of fraud.
–
Fraud is not a victimless crime. Fraud can be a traumatic experience that often causes real and irreversible impacts for victims, their families, careers and communities. Those who rely on government services (such as the elderly, the vulnerable, the sick and the disadvantaged) are often the ones most harmed by fraud. Fraud can have a devastating impact on these victims and increase the disadvantage, vulnerability and inequality they suffer. Fraud can also cause lasting mental and physical trauma for victims. Fraud also results in lost opportunities for individuals and businesses.

Voyeurism is defined as an interest in observing unsuspecting people while they undress, are naked, or engage in sexual activities. The interest is usually more in the act of watching, rather than in the person being watched.
–
People watching is when you sit on your front porch and watch people walk by. Voyeurism is someone who sneaks up to your window and watches you without you being aware of it.
–
Isn’t voyeurism just watching porn? Watching porn is somewhat voyeuristic, but the connotation of voyeurism is watching someone in secret, without consent. Spying. Some people do with consent via role playing.
–
However, you want to view it in today’s world I think people are more desensitized by a camera then they are by people watching directly. Or maybe both? What do you think?

As the years go by, technology appears to advance faster and faster to the point where it almost seems futuristic. More and more, people tend to depend on technology to the point where it’s dangerously high. As humans in today’s time, we rely too much on technology, and in the end, it damages our relationships, mental health, and opportunities for success.
–
Technology will only continue to rise over time; that’s a given. However, we’ll be fine to manage our time efficiently and only be on technology when needed during acceptable hours. We need to ensure that we have to ensure our mental health and physical health won’t be affected by technology before technology. So go out and work out or hang out with friends and make memories; technology can wait for you.

Want To Be An Artist? Stop Calling Yourself A Content or Digital Creator. If it’s ‘content’, it’s culturally worthless. If those examples sound a little wrong, it’s because they are. More so we need to ‘define’ that even this making content takes work and taking off your clothes does not make you a CREATOR of any kind
–
Creating content means filling a gap. It’s about satisfying the need to publish a certain amount of information on a certain media platform, for a certain purpose. The aforementioned luminaries said things that needed to be said for the good of the world. People listened. They were not filling a word count.
–
In the content landscape, what you say is the secondary objective. The primary aim is that you say something. So as a ‘content creator’, you are filling that gap in the same way packing peanuts fill a cardboard box in a UPS depot.
–
I argue that anything called content is neither culturally necessary nor spiritually fulfilling, for creator or consumer. Society does not benefit from content. Content has only a single function, and that is commercial. You can do better.
–
The Difference:
If the end goal of publishing your work is to increase revenue for a business — whether yours or someone else’s — that’s content. In other words? Advertising. You’re making adverts.
–
If the end goal of showing your work to other people is to inform, entertain, inspire or provoke them, you’re making art. In this case the TRUE meaning of being a Creator and not just showing your body and being sexual on camera.
–
Also lets be clear you are neither an ‘ARTIST’ as well by getting naked – you are a stripper on camera and one step up from a Cam Person online. Creators take time to Create educational and meaningful content and not just for the bottom line of profit. They do it to make a difference and help the world and not just themselves.

It’s hard to disagree. Medical devices are a prime example of a relative handful of manufacturers exploiting a captive market with excessively high list prices. Whether we’re talking hearing aids, insulin pumps, pacemakers or other life-altering technologies, patients almost always are forced to pay far more than the cost of developing and making the devices.
–
“The medical device industry is largely an oligopoly, with some of the companies holding effectively a monopoly position,” said an adjunct professor of social policy and management at a University, specializing in healthcare marketing.
–
Limited competition allows the medical device companies to charge higher prices because of a lower threat of a competitor entering the market at a lower price.” “This effect is exacerbated by the tight relationships that the medical device companies form with physicians”.
–
There’s so much wrong with the $4-trillion U.S. healthcare system alone, it’s hard to know where to start fixing it. Maybe that’s one reason lawmakers are so reluctant to try. High-priced medical devices represent another area ripe for reform — another step toward creating a healthcare system that doesn’t relentlessly put profits ahead of patients.
–
Captive market. Steadily rising prices. Huge markups. That’s not value. It’s immoral.
